About

Cesar Millan is a world-renowned dog behaviour specialist, known for his uncanny ability to walk large packs of dogs at a time. Not only that but, from poodles to pit bulls, these now well-behaved canines have each been rehabilitated and rescued from a wide range of extreme behaviour issues - anything from insecurity to severe ‘red zone’ aggression!
Born and raised in Mexico, his blessed gift - a primal communion with nature -always came naturally to him, but his unique connection to canines became most noticeable around the age of 13. Everywhere Cesar went, there always seemed to be a swirl of dogs surrounding him. The locals gave him a nickname, ”El Perrero” - Spanish for “The Dogman”.
Cesar embraced this gift wholeheartedly, and he came to America to pursue his dream of becoming the greatest dog trainer in the world. He soon realized, though, that he was searching for something rather more profound than teaching dogs basic commands.
Heeding his grandfather’s advice to ‘never work against Mother Nature’, Cesar acquired yet another pack of dogs. He passionately studied books on dog psychology, but it was through his own observation, awareness, and firsthand experience that Cesar distilled his own formulas that clearly kept dogs balanced, calm, and submissive.

    Must see

by CoolConcert on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

This Show is a Must See if you own a dog or plan on adopting one. Cesar pretty much make you realize all the mistakes everyone do by humanizing dogs..then people are having problems and don't know why.... Dogs are dogs, they recognize sounds and associate with actions. they don't speak or understand full sentences. Be Calm and Assertive and Lead your dog...BE A PACK LEADER :) Thanks Cesar, it was a fun night and I really liked the Bull Dog shirt you had on. mostly the Montreal Canadian logo :) oh yeah, Cesar is actually pretty funny, we had quite a laugh. Thank you

Q&A session after the show disappointing

    by nursejessie1 on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Cesar was awesome ...he is very personable and funny with loads of energy. We enjoyed the show . However, we paid extra to be in the Pack Leader area to allow us to participate in a Q & A session with Cesar after the show. The people working behind the scenes were supposed to be going to review the questions that were submitted from this Pack Leader section and then have Cesar address those selected. Well the questions selected had nothing to do with dog behavior or training issues. The questions were vere vague, broad questions that were diffficult for him to answer. As a result , because he had to speak longer to the selected questions there wasn't very many addressed. I suggest that they teach the people picking the questions what to look for when selecting them. I would not pay $ 125.00 for this experience again. Love Cesar though...seems like a great guy. :)

    Great show

    by Cherry65 on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Since I am a huge fan of Cesar Millan and the TV show the Dog Whisperer I was not disapointed to see him live and in person. I really enjoyed the show and the only thing I was very disapointed in was that he did not have any of his own pack with him. He did mention that due to the laws in Canada he could not bring his Pitbull Junior, you could tell everyone was disapointed by the ahhhhhh's in the audience. Overall, I would highly recommend this event to anyone and would love to sit through the entire show again and again.

Under the same Woof and Cesar fantastic

by Nadchelle on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

My friend and I went to see Cesar and were greatly impressed by his show. He also has a great sense of humour. Both of us watch the Dog Whisper and have learned a lot from him. I wish we had known about him being downtown Toronto yesterday we were not aware or we may have been there as well just to meet him. One thing that they could improve is where they were selling his shirts and mugs etc. There were only 3 people behind the tables. For the amount of people that want to buy a Cesar souvenir, it would be better to have a few more sellers. Both my friend and I have dogs, she lost one at two years and then went and purchased another and mine I adopted from the Guide Dogs in Oakville and he now has lost his eye from a tumor. Watching Cesar has taught us not to feel sorry for them, treat them with exercise, disipline and affection. Mambo, my dog is the most happiest dog that I have ever met, going through chemo and surgeries, he loves life. Cesar has taught me how to enjoy him. I would love to see another show again if he comes back to Canada.

I was a little disappointed in the show. I had read Cesar's books and watched the videos and really did not learn that much from the show.

    Cesar Milan was Hilarious!

by Shmoo on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Cesar Milan turned out to be quite the comedian!! I really enjoyed his show, and walked away with some good information on how to be with my dog. I have all ready shared some tips with other dog owners who were unable to attend. I laughed out loud so many times!!! My only critisism would be that it was a little long. It started after 7:30 and was not done until 10:00, with an intermission. We live 45 minutes away, so it made for a long evening. I would keep it at 1hr and 1/2 with no intermission. Also, there was a group from the dog rescue crew, that got cut off from doing their little show. There seemed to be some confusion over that, and we felt bad for them. I would see him again, he has a great stage presence and the show was informative and funny!!!

    Cesar was great

by Maderac on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Anybody ever owning a dog will relate to Cesars portrayal of the average dog owner, and the mistakes that they make trying to live with their dog. He is unbelievably funny live, barking, and jumping around on stage trying to get his points across. He shows and demonstrates his ideas with real dogs, whom know right away that they have met their match when he takes control. If you watch the show, you gotta see him live. A great night of entertainment and learning.

    Cesar was great!

by BridgetAndrew on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

I enjoyed the show! it held my attention and Cesar was an impressive performer for someone who really is just a skilled dog trainer. I liked how he got very personal, talked about "Daddy" and gave a lot of insight into how dogs see us and what the need from us. It was impressive when "Jack" the Jack Russell was cured of his fear of the vacum cleaner right on stage. I got a lot of the show.

    Cesar Did Not Disappoint

by Gamby on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Cesar's energy and personality, as you see him in his TV programs, was evident from the outset, however, I thought that he seemed a bit tired as the evening progressed and the pace of the show slipped a bit after intermission. I'm not suggesting that the second half was a disappointment by any stretch of the imagination because it wasn't. Cesar, at half speed even, is head and shoulders above anyone else. His insight and uncanny ability to calm animals is incredible and his quick wit and ability to present his message is absolutely first rate. His sense of humour and ability to think on his feet impressed me very much. Cesar continues to be our hero and having the chance to see him up close and personal was fantastic. I only wish that his audience had been a bit more responsive and enthusiastic.

    Cesar Rocks

    by Susie494 on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Very entertaining and informative. I would see him again but only if I had seats in the first 5 rows. Most of the time I watched him on the screen which I can do at home for considerably less money.

    Cesar !!!

    by sandy123456789 on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

It was everything you could want!! The only complaint I would have is the seating. My neck was KILLING before the end of the event. You had to sit turned to the right the entire time .... But he was worth the pain!

    Cesar Millan Live was Amazing

by MomtoMax on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

High Energy, Informative, Funny .....I learned so much from his presentation above what I already had seen him do and read about in his books...his presentation from the human's point of view and the dog's point of view just hit home so many situations. I would definitely recommend his show to all dog owners.

Not Bad-if you only paid $40

by softmelon on 2010-11-01Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

My daughter really enjoyed it and that's all that matters. It was a very enjoyable night out. My only comment would be that there should have been more interaction with live dogs. It was for the most part just Cesar talking. The show set was really just for appearances. It wasn't used much as true props. When Cesar did have people with dogs, he cut them off short (There was a rescue dog and they said something to the effect of "are you ready for something high energy" and then suddenly Cesar cut them off and said good bye and they were led off the stage. If I had paid more than $40 per ticket, I would have been probably more critical since it didn't seem that there was a great deal of thought or creative effort put into the show in general.

Cesar definitely has charisma and truly understands dog psychology. Kudos to him for doing what he does, and to get where he has. His messages are clear and easy to understand, and to follow. Absolutely amazing. We like his methods and use them with our dogs, with very good results.
