About

Cesar Millan is a world-renowned dog behaviour specialist, known for his uncanny ability to walk large packs of dogs at a time. Not only that but, from poodles to pit bulls, these now well-behaved canines have each been rehabilitated and rescued from a wide range of extreme behaviour issues - anything from insecurity to severe ‘red zone’ aggression!
Born and raised in Mexico, his blessed gift - a primal communion with nature -always came naturally to him, but his unique connection to canines became most noticeable around the age of 13. Everywhere Cesar went, there always seemed to be a swirl of dogs surrounding him. The locals gave him a nickname, ”El Perrero” - Spanish for “The Dogman”.
Cesar embraced this gift wholeheartedly, and he came to America to pursue his dream of becoming the greatest dog trainer in the world. He soon realized, though, that he was searching for something rather more profound than teaching dogs basic commands.
Heeding his grandfather’s advice to ‘never work against Mother Nature’, Cesar acquired yet another pack of dogs. He passionately studied books on dog psychology, but it was through his own observation, awareness, and firsthand experience that Cesar distilled his own formulas that clearly kept dogs balanced, calm, and submissive.

Cesar Millan is wonderful, he is funny, cute and very interesting. I wish he had had some of his pack with him, I would have loved to have seen Junior. I have learned so much from Cesar in relating to my Westie Basil. Keep up the good work and I look forward to watching many more episodes of the Dog Whisperer.

Cesar Millan's show was absolutely amazing

by Playfulpuppy on 2010-10-31Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Eventhough I watch the dog whisperer religiously as his techniques have worked every time with my pack at my daycare, I still did learn a few new techniques at the show. Cesar is one of the funniest men I've seen or heard in a long time. I loved the way he told the audience that we should all follow dogs and live in the moment. His question and answer session was good, eventhough they did not pick my question, and I think if Cesar had a chance to read mine, he probably would have picked it. He was very polite to the audience and never disrespected anyone whatsoever. I love Cesar. For such a powerful person and how famous he has become, he seems like a real down to earth and humble man, and that's why I think he's the best. I would definately go to one of his shows again. I wish the November dates were not sold out. I also wish we were allowed to bring children under 19 as my little girl who is 9 really wanted to see him live.

Cesar was engaging. funny, interesting, and knowledgable all rolled into one. I would definately go see his show again and again. I never knew he had a flare for comedy as well as all his other attributes. Best show i've seen this year.

Very entertaining and to the point. He is as informative as in his NG show. I have been following him for years now and his show has helped us with our own dogs. I would recommend him to anyone even if they have no dogs. Cesar teaches us that as humans we must learn to respect nature a lot more than we do now, and we should understand how important animals are to everyone's survival and sanity. Thanks Cesar.

He was funny! Every since I had started to watch Cesar on TV, I've always wanted to meet him in person. My wish came true! It was fun & informative. At least I got to see first hand, Cesar's work. The only snag is... I paid for the more expensive ticket to attend the question & answer segment. However, with the amount I paid, I didn't get my question answered. There were only 5 questions out of around 100 or more answered. What are my chances? Some suggestions so as to be fair to those who choose to pay more for the ticket. 1. Limit the number of people who gets to pay more for the ticket for a Q&A segment. This will make it more intimate & have more people's questions answered. 2. Allow for more time after the show for Q&A session. 3. Also, have an autograph session especially for those who didn't get their questions answered. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars!

    Cesar is a great educator

by missygirl on 2010-10-30Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I loved the show, Cesar showed how unintelligent we humans really are in a funny way. I certainly came away from the show with a broader perspective on animals, and not just dogs, oh, and humans as well.

    Not what I expected

by mkandjr on 2010-10-30Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I have every one of Mr Millan's books and have watched all of his shows on DVD. I bought my tickets as soon as I heard there was a show - I have been so excited to see in person the man who has taught me how to be a better dog owner and a calmer, more centered self. Instead I saw a man who made comparisons between women and animals - not once but several times. He also made several jokes aimed at "his" people - or Mexican-Americans. When the treadmill was set up back-to-front he made "jokes" about firing people and getting to be "Donald Trump" tonight. I felt there were too many jokes and jibes made against minorities to be funny...it felt to me that Mr Millan has bought into his media propaganda and now seems to hold himself above the place and people he raised himself up from. Most disappointing of all was that we saw only a few dog demonstrations. I am deeply saddened that I came away with no more knowledge than I went in with - I had hoped for at least one ah-ha moment. I feel that instead of being calm/assertive he was chauvinistic/arrogant - not someone I want to emulate in my own life. I will still watch the shows because they are obviously edited to show the training/rehabilitation side of Mr Millan but if you are a fan of the TV show and the books as I am, I do not recommend his live show.

    Cesar Millan Live, was amazing

by Annzy on 2010-10-30Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Cesar Millan Live show was well worth it. I had a fantastic seat to view the whole show. As an avid watcher of his show on National Geographic channel seeing him live has given me more insight into his methods of teaching. Cesar has a wonderful sense of humour bringing with him such a profound presence and talent. His work with dogs, humans is such a true blessing at bringing a healthy balance into the pack group. Has enriched my world with my dog and how to become a better pack leader. Would like to have seen a question and answer portion at the end of the show, finished rather suddenly. Other than that, I had an amazing time, Thank you Cesar!

This show was amazing. Cesar has made this an informative, yet hilarious and entertaining show! He teaches and reinforces his beliefs and concepts to a well balanced dog. He puts his concepts into action and applies it to a variety of dogs on stage in front of a huge audience. As his show ends, he gets a standing ovation from everybody in the crowd. The experience was well worth it.

I am a big fan of Cesar, but I felt that there were some times where he seemed rushed and some parts of the show where the crew was unorganized. I thought for a show with that price tag that it should have run smoothly. I also thought that the technical crew - the crew filming - made a lot of noise. As for the content of the show, I liked it, but I would have liked more tips. Things that I could not get from the TV show.

Mr Millan was amazing. His knowledge of dogs has changed the way we deal with them. If you understand that they live in the now, it can only help your life, as you can see when they are happy, after a difficult event in their lives. We should emulate our dogs in that manner and leave the past in the past and the future in the future. I would definitely go again, and again, and again... thank you so much, Mr Millan for coming to Richmond, BC.

by Bonasforza on 2010-10-29River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

This was a very personable evening with Cesar Millan. I found it be more of getting to know him vs his dog training techniques. I had tears in my eyes on few occasions, specially when mentioned that Daddy passed away and that his marriage fell apart ;(

Seeing Cesar LIVE was hands down 100% fantastic! Even though I watch his show regularly, I still felt I learned and connected to his methods by seeing him in person. He was simply awesome. He even stayed after the special question period and signed books, programs, t-shirts etc., WHAT A TREAT! I sincerely hope he makes Canada a regular stop on his tours, I would go again and again to see him. One of the best events I have ever attended. CANADA LOVES YOU CESAR!!!!!! W00F!
