She sounded so amazing live, same with Raine, they're both extreemly talented and it's obvious they feed eachother with musical inspiration, true musicians. Can't get over her voice.
I got the tickets for my wife as she is a huge fan. It was her 5th concert seeing Chantal play and the same praises for her vocal and musical talent were noted. Though she did say Chantal seemed a bit more of a diva this time. The opening act "Dala" was awesome. They sure could sing and were talented musicians as well. Frankly, they could more than hold their own against Chantal but their music was a little more "easy listening/low key".
Chantal Kreviazuk always puts on a great performance. She is an amazing singer and performer and she interacts well with the audience. I was wishing she would keep performing at the end of the concert!
Chantal was amazing. She put a new spin on old songs and shared great new songs. She is a great performer and I would see her again.
My daughter , Tennille, had experience Chantal in Lethbridge, met her in a "meet the artist limo", promotion and loved her. She gave her aunt and I, tickets to the Calgary performance for Christmas. The day we drove up was minus 30 degree but we risked the weather , and driving. It was so worth it!!!! Chantal's voice is exceptional.. but more than that , the experience of her , as she so genuinely speaks to her audience, is amazing. She is real, and has a depth that makes what she shares, very moving. I loved how she handled the "song request" that was not her song.. I am curious too... "who did write that".... Great artist and great person... a mother of 3 boys.... wow..
Chantel was awesome. She has some awful amazing talent from her operatic voice, her strong stage presence and terrifiv songwriting. Her band is a very good combination of violin (love the instrument), cello, guitar and drums. She wove a story for each song and was quite entertaining. I was especially impressed with her drinking wine on stage and enjoying the audience. Love her!
Chantal is absolutely amazing. She is beautiful and so talented. The range and everything she can do with her voice so effortlessly is mind blowing. Love loved the performance! Would recommend to anyone!
I found the band was to loud for her voice, it was hard to hear the lyrics. The background features could us some polishing for a person of her noteriety.
Chantal was absolutely fantastic! It was a really nice change from other concerts because she was interacting with the audience, not just coming onto the stage & singing. Loved the fact that she was sharing how, why & for whom she came to write the song she was about to perform - what inspired her. She was funny & entertaining. She sings like an "Angel" - the show was Awesome!!!
Chantal Kreviazuk is the only singer I know that sounds better live than on her c.d. She makes her vocal range and piano prowess appear effortless! Besides her amazing talents, my favorite part of her concert was her humor that she injected throughout the show. Bottom line: Seeing her live is worth every penny!!!
What a lovely way to spend a cold winters night. The jube was a wonderful venue for Chantal. She is such a talented musician. Acoutiscally, she showed what a rich-diverse and still untouched by techno-devices, voice she has along with her amazing piano talent. She had three musicians supporting her and it felt like an orchestral ensemble. The cellist brought depth beyond what I could have ever expected, the violinist brought air and the dummer displayed excentric and color to the concert. Chantal is not a selfish musical star. She is real and exibited that when she actually talked to an audience member personally, during her performance. As much as performers like to keep private, she did share with us her love for her family in many ways. She is real and that is what people love. What an intimate evening with her. She gave us that.
This is the second time I've seen Chantal K at the Jubilee. She is one of my favorite vocalists, and never ceases to amaze me.
My wife & I were thoroughly entertained during one of our rare "date-nights".
WOW! Thats is the best way to sum up this concert. It was so much more than i even imagined from a concert. She was intimate and sounds even better live than on her albums. For sure a huge memory in my life!
Simply beautiful... We will definitely be there then next time she comes to town...hopefully she won't make us wait too long!
The highlight was the DaLa Girls, not the main act. If I didn't know better, I would even think that Chantal was drunk the way she talked and acted. The music was great but the "show" was annoying.
This concert was unlike any I have ever been too....much more presonal...I loved how she connected with the audience....she seems like the "girl next door" so beautiful and talented. Her voice is stunning, breath taking, mesmerizing. Dala the two ladies that came on before her sang like angels. I am so glad I went, and so sad my boyfriend had to miss it! What an emotional and inspiring concert! I would definitely go again....she is not to be missed!
Amazing voice! Loved her banter but it was a bit too much at times and was wanting to hear more singing. Nice casual rapport with audience.
Amazing performance by all entertainers. Chantal was on top of her game. It was an amazing venue to be part of. Her engagement with the audience was intimate and genuine. It was evident that she is a "real" person who is very much involved with her family. Chantal played and sang for 2 hours straight and loved every minute of it! Toronto - we are so fortunate to have this talent within Canada!! A very "real" moment within the performance was when Chantal's son came out on stage to talk with his Mommy. Chantal was very gracious and stopped the show to address his needs. Another equally favourite moment was when Chantal's middle son sang her latest hit. It was an absolute show stopper and Chantal was so very proud! Amazing!!
The show started just before 9:00 pm and we didn't leave until the end at about 11:00. Chantal was very entertaining. She explained how some of her songs came to be and did an extremely good job of it. Bottom line I would recommend it to anyone and will see her again.
