About

Chelsea Handler is a comedian, television host, New York Times best-selling author and advocate whose humor and candor have established her as one of the most celebrated voices in entertainment and pop culture. After a strong seven-year run as the host of E!'s top-rated Chelsea Lately, a tenure in which she was the only female late-night talk show host on-air, she launched her documentary series Chelsea Does followed by her talk show Chelsea on Netflix in 2016. She has penned six best-selling books, five of which have reached #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list, including 2019's Life Will Be the Death of Me. She will executive produce and star in a TV adaptation of the book under her production banner, Chelsea Handler Productions.

In 2022, Handler made her return to Netflix with her critically acclaimed comedy special Revolution. It follows the success of her 2020 HBO Max comedy special Evolution, which earned Chelsea a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. In 2021, she launched her iHeart Radio advice podcast, Dear Chelsea, and embarked on the Vaccinated and Horny Tour, bringing her sensational stand-up set to 90+ cities with 115 shows across North America and winning "The Comedy Act of 2021" at the People's Choice Awards.

Best standup show I’ve ever been to!

by Crystal on 2022-03-13Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Chelsea is Hilarious! The show was amazing and the opening act was just as funny. It was nonstop laughter and the best standup comedy I’ve seen! The tour is everything you expect and so much more!

    Hilarious from start to finish

Chelsea’s story telling and comedic timing was on point! I don’t think I stopped laughing until I got to my car!

    Fun, Funny, and Thoughtmaking

by Patrooski on 2019-12-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

I'd never been to the Queen Elizabeth Theater before, and would return tomorrow for a show. Chelsea Handler I'd go see again yesterday. She was fun to listen to and hear. She spoke about the good, the bad, the happy, the sad; and always made sure to bring us back to the amusing. Meeting her was a treat. She was still happy and welcoming. All this, and it was her second show of the night. The opening comic did well. Good stories and good delivery. The venue and the Chelsea were a good match. Small enough theater to keep it more intimate, which was her style. I like being in the company of intelligent women who speak well. And that night we all were

Opening act was hysterical. Chelsea was exactly as I thought. Sex, drugs and serious issues all infused with humour.

The Hardest I’ve Laughed in Years

by sumi on 2019-11-19Chan Centre For The Performing Arts - Vancouver

I’ve always loved Chelsea’s humor, so when I saw that she was coming to Vancouver I immediately bought tickets for myself and a friend going through a rough time. My friend and I laughed SO hard! Chelsea is insightful, intelligent and has the funniest perspective on life and not afraid to be vulnerable.

    Misleading

by DDOIRON on 2018-10-17National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Maybe it's my ignorance but someone who asked Chelsea a question made the same observation as what I was feeling. I thought I was going to see a comedy act, stand up comedian. Paying this crazy amount of money to listen to her opinions mostly on cannabis was a huge disappointment.

    Chelsea Handler

by DiJa on 2018-10-12Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

I absolutely admire this woman, love everything she does, it was great seeing her speak live, and inspire others buuuuut.... kinda disappointing. The conversation didn't stay on track; the topic was marijuana. And the Q n A period got weird, felt really long, without much substance (aside from a few well thought out questions). If there was a way to screen Q's it could have ended with some great chances for CHELSEA to speak. It really got off track. Regular people are typically not good public speakers, so at one point it's kind of liiiike "I paid to hear people talk - not Chelsea Handler - for a good chunk of time?" :/ There was a lot of the same kind of questions where she would offer up the same answer.. some got crazy personal.. quite a few gushed ramblingly at her (understandable), but it was wasted time! I had a legit Q and time ran out. I paid nearly $100 each for great seats but a "meh" show... it was great having her be interviewed properly, and hear her firey, intelligent responses but overall, had I known? I wouldn't have put the money out.

Less Weed and More Celebrity Dish Needed

by BooBooMcFinnigin on 2018-10-10National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I understand Chelsea has moved on from Chelsea Lately, and I expected a lot of political talk; however, I didn’t expect the conversation to be dominated by, and even sponsored by, the cannibis industry. I really found it boring and it grew old. Would have liked more behind the scenes stories rather than the lecture that marijuana will cure all ills. Still love her, though, and glad I went. She was also very gracious to a couple of audience members that had awkward questions.

    Surprisingly disappointed.

by Anonymous on 2018-10-10National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I love Chelsea Handler, I follow her on instagram, and Ive watched all of her shows on Netflix. I think what she’s doing in terms of getting involved and bringing awareness to young voters by using her voice for a good cause is pretty awesome. As for the show. It wasn’t anything that I haven’t seen before through her social media. There was no ‘wow’ factor. Also, she came on late and the show ended quite early. (Maybe an hour and 15 total) I definitely wouldn’t pay $130 again to see her. This is the type of show that she would perhaps draw more interest had she come and spoke spreading awareness with a smaller fee or even for free. (Since she feels so passionate about it)

    Uninspiring sychophancy

by Pant on 2018-10-09Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

This event had its moments, just not nearly enough of them. The Q and A was especially painful: a pathetic mix of sycophantic pandering and self-aggrandizement..

    Love her openness

by GMM28 on 2018-10-09Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

She is awesome to listen to and engage with. She calls out things that are so true but most people are afraid to say out loud. I took off a star for the Q&A period. People need to be filtered a little bit so we don't have to listen to everyone's life story...

Question period was a bit boring. People seemed to think it was a time for a mini monologue. They needed to keep people’s questions short and to the point. Could have done without it.

Loved seeing Chelsea live and her personality and sense of humour is everything you’d expect; however, the show was too short for the amount charged for our seats ( first few rows ) and would have preferred if the “conversation” was a comedic turn on her points of performing rather than the serious tone most of the show took. In the end it was dissapointing. It should have been made much more clear in the advertising.

    Amazing

by Michyb on 2018-10-08National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Chelsea Handler was political, but funny in discussing topics that are affecting bot Canada and the US. It is a must see! The only negative was the question period. There were too many stupid questions from the audience. Some of the questions were very politically charged and it was like they were trying to challenge Handler about her knowledge of the plight of all oppressed groups. I feel Chelsea handled the question portion very well though.

Very very short. Was pretty disappointed. 80$ ticket for like an hour. And then half an hour of audience questions which were mostly people praising Chelsea.

    The real Chelsea Handler

by Anonymous on 2018-09-26Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

very real, no pretense, no frills, no fanfare, just someone in the "business" expressing outloud what everyone else is thinking.

    Just ok

by Peanut2 on 2018-09-26Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Thought it was a comedy type show as was looking forward to her crude outspoken self. All good though I did enjoy this very much and had i done my research I probably would have had a question or two for Chelsea. She's awesome!!!

    Chelsea Handler

by Tashi on 2018-09-25Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Not what I expected. I thought would be more comedy it was just a talk show setting. I found it very boring. I was also irritated by the bright lights glaring from the cells of other bored people in the audience! Many left early, I left during the question period. so NOT worth the money.

Chelsea was amazing. Listening to her talk was everything I hoped for. The question period...well let’s just say I can’t get that time back
