  • Chris de Burgh was amazing!

by twotoast on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

For a gentleman in his late 60's, Chris de Burgh put on a fabulous show. With 26 songs in the show, it was non-stop music both new and old. His voice was excellent and storytelling was unforgettable. A great show that I highly recommend!

  • Great entertainer

by Tullyman on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

4th time and did not disappoint again. Played the favorites and made my wife cry when he sang "in a country garden" ( our wedding song). almost 3 hours of pure deBurgh. Just need to vamp up his outfit....

  • De Burgh.. still as it

by BurgeoBoy on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Great show ! De Burgh still as a strong voice! Great band nice lighting.. very interactive with audience. Only little downside was there was so many more hits he could off played ! Although the new material was very good !

  • If you love Chris de Burgh...

by JujubeF on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

It was great. Typical CdB concert in the mix of fan favorites with new material. It was a bit schmaltzy but that was part of the fun.

  • Fantastic show once again!

by Anonymous on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Chris DeBurgh never fails to put on a fabulous show! He did it again in Calgary last Wednesday night...the crowd gave him a couple of, well deserved, standing ovations throughout the evening.

  • A most enjoyable evening with Chris de Burgh

by MusicallyJill on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

The gracious performer and his talented band provided a very entertaining mix of new and old songs. His ‘A Better World’ music is satisfying both in lyrics and sound. The light show was really amazing. The cheesy trip around the auditorium to hug all of the “ladies in red” certainly made the show memorable for those dedicated fans to be sure.

  • He's the best

As usual, he put on a very enjoyable and energetic performance. He had the audience involved right from the opening number.

  • by SepSepid on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I was already a fan but his performance made me fall head over heel for him. Singing all the songs with such warmth and comfort, how could it not touch one's heart?

  • Brilliant performance

by Saleo on 2017-10-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Chris DeBurgh was absolutely brilliant. His show far exceeded any expectations. I would highly recommend you go see him if you ever have the opportunity. I have seen him twice now and would definitely go again. He sings from the heart.

He played his old songs and new ones. Ran through the audience singing "Lady in Red" He had a lot of energy. Really good concert. I can't believe I didn't see him before in Calgary as he stated he has been in Calgary before. Would recommend seeing him.

  • Rocking Chris de Burgh

by ErnieEdmonton on 2017-10-20Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Music much more rocking than recorded music. Great show. Not so great on his call to come down and dance. Anyone sitting forward on the floor lost view of the stage. The venue (Shaw conference centre) was horrible. A cave with attached folding chairs. Luckily the music made up.

  • Still one of the best!!

by CrimsonJeff on 2017-10-19Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Chris de Burgh is still one of the best live performers of all time. I'm not a fan of the Shaw Conference Centre for music, but you forget about it when Chris takes the stage. His band is phenomenal as well.

  • A great bit of nostalgia - Chris deBurgh

by technotyke on 2017-10-19Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed a Warm and welcoming singer and his band, The music brought back fun memories of my youth! Unfortunately the Shaw venue was not the best for sound, and the audio mixing was 'neutral'. The event could have been better with more aggressive sound management. All the songs were fun, and Chris - always the gentleman showman brought the audience to its feet to dance with him for most of the second set!

Great performer, great concert , terrible venue, would be very reluctant to go to a concert at the Shaw Conference centre, poor seating, poor set up, not designed for concerts.

  • A Master of the Message

    by shopper10 on 2017-10-19Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Chris de Burgh does not just sing about life experiences. His words are a reflection of his thoughts on world peace, social justice and the challenges of our times. He speaks to your soul in a non assuming, gracious spirit. I have gone to Dublin to be at his concerts and have been at each one in Edmonton. His concerts are an experience not just an event.

An amazing show! A lot of old favorites mixed in with some new material that left me wanting to hurry home and listen to the new album right away.

  • Chris de Burgh a treat to be entertained by

by pthorkel on 2017-10-19Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been in love with Chris de Burgh's songs since 1976 and had the pleasure to see him in 77. He was great in 77 and now in 2017 he still is the ultimate entertainer. I love the fact that he walked thru the crowd and danced with various women. All his songs are great stories and reflect a lot of what is happening in our world today. I left so relaxed and happy and would have stayed there for hours on hours. Thank you Chris for the great concert

He sang songs from his first album all the way to his newest. I knew the words to every old song.
