About

Chris Ruggiero on Tour

Chris Ruggiero is a good old-fashioned crooner for a modern era. Performing standards and vintage pop rock from the '50s, '60s and '70s with his backing band, Ruggiero first gained national attention when he performed on a PBS coast-to-coast broadcast special.

A regular on the Las Vegas circuit, Ruggiero has a deep respect for artists of these bygone eras and has worked with Bucky Heard of the Righteous Brothers as his vocal coach.

His popular 2021 album, I Am Chris Ruggiero, features loungy, soft rock covers of artists including The Mamas and the Papas ("California Dreamin"), the Beatles ("And I Love Her") and The Beach Boys ("Wouldn't It Be Nice"). Since he began performing, he shared the stage with notable artists including Bobby Rydell, Tito Puente, The Duprees and The Drifters.

Don't miss your chance to see this charismatic young crooner when he comes to a city near you on his extensive headlining tour.

Chris Ruggiero Live in Concert

Born and raised in Somers, New York, twenty-something Gen Z-er, Chris Ruggiero was inspired by famous singers of the '60s and '70s including Paul Anka, Bobby Rydell and Frankie Valli.

Ruggiero's grandfather grew up in the early 1960s singing on street corners in the Bronx, and he credits his grandfather with passing on his love of the music of his youth to him.

A turning-point moment came when Ruggiero saw Frankie Valli on TV, singing in front of thousands of people at the National Mall in Washington, DC. The joy he felt coming from the crowd inspired him to pursue a career in music. Ruggiero said in an interview, "The gentleman who is now my manager once told me, 'If you ever have a moment when you feel like your life will be miserable if you decide to be anything other than a singer, call me and I'll help you.' At that moment, I felt that way for the first time and the feeling hasn't left me since."

Ruggiero was also influenced by Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Burt Bacharach and began learning to sing their material, which ended up on his full-length covers album, I Am Chris Ruggiero.
