Fabulous...And he actually came and got pictures taken and albums signed. He is a good guy as he talked to the people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went last year and WILL be going again next year. The White Hat ceremony was a plus. Excellent!!

  • Chubby Checker didn't cut it

by bigskybilly on 2014-11-04Deerfoot Inn & Casino - CalgaryRating: 1 out of 5

Not sure if it was the venue , the sound person or the band, but this was by far the worst concert we have ever been too! It was so loud that we had to put my fingers in my ears, the guitars were feeding back into the monitors and every time the drummer hit the drums it was absolutely awful as it would hit you right in the chest and you could barely hear Chubby as the band was so over powering...unbelievable!!! Instead of turning the volume down on the instruments they turned it up and made it worse!!! I hope that the next concert there will have better sound!

  • chubby checker was great

Chuuby checker had everyone on their feet. The showw was amazing. He never stopped the entire time.I would go again to see him anytime. Was worth every penny of the price.Much better then some of the younger ones who have to have breaks or play for a metric hour.

  • CHUBBY CHECKER WAS UNBELIEVABLE

by HERON on 2014-03-01Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE PERFORMANCE HE GAVE US. HE IS EVEN BETTER NOW THAN HE WAS YEARS AGO AND HIS VOICE IS EVEN BETTER NOW THAN IT WAS BEFORE. KEPT US ENTERTAINED FOR THE ENTIRE SHOW. HAS US JOINING IN, LAUGHING, OWING AND AWING. WE HAD A GREAT TIME. ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS WE HAVE BEEN TO AT RAMA. WHAT A PERFORMER HE IS. STILL THINKING ABOUT IT A WEEK LATER.

The show started slowly and there were boring moments

  • Chubby Checker still has the moves

by Leeton on 2014-02-26Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Chubby was awesome - OMG - great show, he was funny, he came through the audience, he danced with the audience, the band was awesome and their music didn't drown out his voice. The interaction with audience members brought up on stage was really nice. The only regret was him not wearing his traditional black pants and white shirt that I remember him wearing when first he became known. After the show he allowed the audience to take a picture of him with them and this time he was in a suit, very nice. He still has the energy and voice at his age and not afraid to tell us how old he is. Would I go see him again - you bet in a heart beat. Next time Chubby please wear black pants and a white shirt - for old times sake!!!

The show was completely enjoyable with non stop entertainment for 90 miniutes. Chubby came on the stage singing and later 90 minutes later still singing.

  • Chubby Checker still has it

    by rocknrollgirl1 on 2014-02-25Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

wow what a great concert, he still has all the moves and sounds great. He put on a great show and interacted with the crowd. We sang and dance all night, knew all the songs and had a fantastic time. My mom and I went, I gave her the tickets for a present thought it was going to be more for her than me but I was very wrong, I had just as much fun as she did. Thanks Chubby

by Tush on 2014-02-25Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Great show, wonderful entertainer. My husband is 20 years older then me so these tickets were for him because he has attended so many of the performers shows that I enjoy, I wasn't looking forward to the show. I enjoyed it as much or more then he did. Chubby Checker will be 73 years old in October and he did a hour and twenty-five minute show full of singing and dancing with audience participation without stopping. Loved It!!!

  • Chubby Checker was entertaining and engaging!!!

by Curvystorm on 2014-02-25Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

We had floor seats which made he experience even more exciting because Chubby Checker came out into the audience signing and dancing with people. Even for those in the higher up seats ( we had family up there) enjoyed it because Chubby included them in sing alongs and conversation what a fabulous all around entertainer.

  • Even Better Now than In The Day

    by TrondT1 on 2013-07-31Deerfoot Inn & Casino - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing show! Chubby Checker (and there's nothing chubby about him now) is even better now than he was back in the day. Amazing energy, non-stop for an hour-and-a-half. There was almost non-stop dancing in the aisles, and he was so good with the audience. What a pro! This is one of the very best high-energy shows I have ever seen. I recommend it very highly.

  • a sock hop it was!

We (4 of us) had a wonderful time at the Chubby Checker and the Wildcats show - we loved the show, his songs, his energy, his interactions with his fans, his dancing, our dancing - I couldn't believe what a great time it was for all of us!

  • Fabulous show!

by Linscott on 2013-05-20Theatre du Casino du Lac-Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

Had a wonderful time. Chubby really involved the audience. He was down mixing with the people and also invited several people onto the stage to dance with him. People were constantly up dancing in the aisle and in front of their seats. Very uplifting and very enjoyable.

  • Chubby Checker was all I hoped it would be.

by Wildewoode on 2013-05-19Theatre du Casino du Lac-Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed every second of it!!! It brought back wonderful memories! It was particularly gratifying to see even the younger generation up and dancing in their seats.. The beat and the energy encompassed the whole theatre.... And the show was "clean!" which in today's society is very seldom.... Kudos to Chubby Checker.... bring him back soon!!!!
