This is our first Cirque du Solei and it wont be our last, Alegria was fabulous.
If you're into acrobatics, amazing performances, and an unforgettable night then you should definitely check out Allegria Cirque du Soleil. Family friendly, and great for any occasion. This was my first experience and definitely will not be my last. Definitely come and see the show or any other shows by these great minds!
This was an amazing concert. People should definitely go and experience Cirque Du Soleil at least once in their lives. I loved their audience interaction. I was speechless to see what the human body is capable of. This was my second time at Cirque Du Soleil and I will definitely go back for the third time. Unfortunately there were a coupe of errors from the performer's end but over all the entire event was a huge success.. Five thumbs up from my end !!!
We watched Kooza and Ovo at the Portlands, and the venue was great. ACC was a poor choice of venue. Also, Alegria did not portray the great standards that Kooza and Ovo did. Although we love live performances, Alegria was actually boring.
The performers were extreemly tallented. We had a side view, which was less than ideal, but still good. The singer had an amazing voice. The show was not as exciting as OVO. Ovo has more elaborate costumes and theme was easier to understand.
Simply amazing. From the performances, to the costumes, to the music and the concept/design. Well worth it!
The performance was amazing! It was a lot of fun!!
Alegria was one of the most entertaining shows for all ages that I have ever seen. No matter what your music preference or age, this show was jaw dropping in its performances. Even stage changes were entertaining, there was always something to watch. We purchased the DVD and watched it again when we got home. Fabulous!!!!!
Alegria was good, as all Cirque de Soliel shows are, however this one could not top Ovo. I felt they were struggling to get a two hour show and too much time was spent on silly character acts. It was late starting, a 20 minute intermission was 30 minutes and it ended early. There were not all that many good acts within the show itself. All in all it was still a good show as we are from out of town and drove 3 hours to see it.
If you love watching the shows on TV, you won't want to miss the live show. It's well worth your time!
It is my 6th shows. But the first 5 is better. The show is short and not as excited as the others!
Amazing to see what the human body is capable of. The clowns were funny but sometimes were on too much. But overall great show.
It was an amazing show! It was very well put together. The stage was fantastic and the scene changes were seamless. I was impressed with the lighting effects, the costumes and of course, the acrobats! Those people are just unreal. The things they can do are phenomenal. I would recommend this show to anyone. The music is fantastic! I already have the cd and couldn't wait to see the actual show. Brilliant!
it was so so. we did not like the big arena format
I took my sons....and was not sure what their reactions were going to be to such a show.....they loved it. They were whistling and yelling out cheers.......my youngest who is autistic was captivated throughout......a huge success of an evening.
I think show was entertaning However, after seeing OVO , I found this show very disappointing. It was cvery show and not as spectacular. Also, I do not think AIr Canada was a good choice for the venue. When Cirque du soliel had in it a tent, the audience was agle to be closer to the performance. I would definitely not recommend anyone to see the show at Air Canada
This has been our third Cirque du Soleil event. Admittedly the previous 2 seemed more action packed. Alegria was sometimes slow, and not happy as the title intends. A couple of shows could have used some editing where others would have been welcomed longer. i.e. the tumble track routine. My children thoroughly enjoyed it noting it was their first time. My husband and I did not find it up to the level of previous shows. The programs are way too overpriced at $20 each. We were up in the the 300 section, paid over $500 for 6 tickets and had a hard time appreciating all of the facial expressions and seeing all details of the show as the lighting is very dark. Good yes, have we seen better from the Cirque...absolutely!
The show is amazing from the outfit, music and acts, having said that we purchased tickets on the main floor close to the stage preferring higher price to enjoy the show I regret to say that the seats were poorly set and we had the flip sides all the time in order to see the show properly.
I went to OvO last year, and I must say that it beats this one out of the water. Alegria has great musical pieces but it lacked the constant jaw dropping stunts like those performed in OvO.
