Cortéo—an Italian word meaning "cortège" or procession—was a contemporary circus show about a clown who watches his own funeral taking place in a carnival-like atmosphere. It was partly inspired by The Grand Parade: Portrait of the Artist as Clown on display at the National Gallery of Canada.

Awesome Awesome Awesome Awesome. Awesome Awesome Awesome Awesome
The Cirque show itself was amazing, such talented performers. Unfortunately Bought 1st row in the 200 sections thinking they would be amazing seats for the show. It’s disappointing the seats had not been listed as having an obstructed view. It was a lot of money to spend on tickets where I had to watch the show behind a sheet of glass with the glare of an exit sign and light from the concourse.
I bought the ticket months before the show. It was our first time and we really enjoyed it! It was a gift for my boys since they just had their birthday few days ago. It was an amazing experience and will definitely watch other shows next time!
totally worth it!! great show, a great experience. Love more shows like this.
This was my first time to watch Cirque du Soleil in person. I have been very impressed by the Quidam of Cirque du Soleil before. I think that Cortes was not as large-scale as Quidam but it was well organized. The performances of acrobats and actors were surprising and beautiful, thank you. I wish that I can see again Cirque du Soleil someday after I return to my home country, South Korea.
The show was spectacular as always. We had floor seats which were the worst I have ever had at a cirque show. Missed a great deal of the action and we were below the level of the stage. Big mistake,
I usually love Cirque but this one wasn’t very good at all. Too much acting and time fillers, not enough acrobatics, very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone.
We loved most of the show - it was truly magical. The one skit which was less successful was the Romeo and Julietta skit. It did not add anything to the evening. We did enjoy the mix of languages and the music was wonderful.
My spouse and I travelled several hours to Winnipeg to watch the show. It was a special date night for us and we were not disappointed! What an amazing display of super talented performers. I can’t wait for the next show.
Amazing Show!!!It was great experienced!!Will sure watch again next year.
Cirque never disappoints. My husband and I took our 3 granddaughters, 2 of which are gymnasts, and they were amazed at the strength and grace of the performers. Wonderful show.
I love the show. The aerial shows are really good. The storytelling was there and interesting. Definitely coming back.
Show was excellent, but I highly recommend not attending a show at the Canada Life Center
Saw Corteo twice. The Thursday production was brilliant. Magical. The Saturday evening performance was flat. Dull. Almost boring. Two shows in one day is too hard on the performers.
It was amazing and spectacular. I was engaged throughout the show, the sequence had smooth transition. I liked the blended art performance from traditional circus acts to aerobatics. Very well done!
The acrobats as always were amazing and perfection at their craft. The story line for this one confused me a bit and there were pieces that were obvious filler. I didn’t have that with Amaluna
The best show ever. My grandsons are 10 and 7, they never sit still. They were in awe. Didn’t fidget or move.
Loved everything from the set decor , to the lighting, music , costumes and theme to transport the audience to a wonderful place. We loved the helium balloon dancer, the musicians , the chandelier acrobats, the hoop acrobats, the whole thing is amazing. Somehow each cirque is different and great on its own.
The show was excellent!! The chairs not so much. Almost had to leave 1/2 hour prior to show ending due to sore back from the chairs.
