  • Worth the wait

by marcalena on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Colbie was amazing, she is a true talent. Although it seemed like a VERY long wait for her to take the stage. She was worth the wait. The Commodore is a great venue but expect to be standing all night. Andy Davis and Howie Day were the opening acts. They were fabulous.

  • Colbie was amazing! (Jason Mraz showed up!!!)

    by DixieChick24 on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was GREAT! Colbie has such a great voice, and the surprise visit from Jason Mraz topped it off! Colbie's lead guitarist, Justin Young...also amazing...great chemistry...are they dating or what?! :)

  • Colbie BLEW me away.

    by RayRay14 on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Colbie Caillat was just phenomenal last night, as were her opening acts. Andy Davis was flawless and incredibly friendly, he met with all the fans afterwards. Howie Day really impressed me with his one man band show- he looped everything right on stage! Then, Colbie surprised us all with a duet feat. Jason Mraz... pretty much the highlight of my life! The entire night was so fun, Colbie interacted really well with her fans, and joked around with the stage crew and her band. One member of the stage crew, Andy, even sang No Woman, No Cry by Bob Marley, and was FLAWLESS. It was an exciting event with too much musical talent to handle. Colbie's back-up singer/guitarist/ukelele player is incredibly talented! His name is Justin Young and I'm pretty sure every woman in the venue fell in love with him. A great night full of on-stage chemistry and laughter! The Commodore Ballroom is a great venue too!

  • A long wait...

by akoolrebel on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Well first of all, you can't beat the commodore in terms of a venue! However...after waiting three hours for Colbie to take the stage, a little more seating would have been preferable. It was frustrating to have to wait through not one but two opening singers, with even lengthier waits in between sets. For next time I think one opener would have sufficed! When Colbie finally took the stage after 10pm, it was worth the wait. Her stage presence and genuine personality filled the room along with her amazing voice.

  • Charming Performance

by Raenbow on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Colbie was very sweet with the audience, sang exceptionally well, and had great chemistry with her band. The openers were great as well, so I'd say it was a success.

  • Bad, bad, bad! Save your $ or buy the cd instead.

Where to start? - Opening bands were pretty lame, so the crowd was bored by the time the 2nd permormer came out to the stage (9pm), played like 5 songs (probably everything that he knew) and then at around 9.30 the crew started fixing the stage and we were left with some of that radio music playing waiting for Colbie to come out... 15 mins went by and the crew is still walking around the stage fixing things (or pretending to)... 30 mins later music is still playing, we are all staring at each other and nothing is happening! No announcements, no Colbie, no crew, no nothing! The crown started whistling and clapping asking for Colbie; but she didnt show up until 10.15! Opened with 2 or 3 unknown songs that nobody knew, the crowd was very angry I guess, at least I was! And super cold, since the air con was crazy high and we were all freezing. So Colbie sang and sang and nobody sang along for the first 5 songs... everyone looked bored. At this point, it was 11 pm and nothing good had happened. So we took off and regreted spending the $35 per ticket. No show, not a good performer on stage, lame comments about how she went shopping and trying to look super cute and "bubbly" on stage only made the concert worse. Buy the CD instead....

  • Colbie rocked!

by Biancacruz on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Colbie rocked and so did her guest star. Sitting through her opening acts, however, was a little more painful. Next-time I'd show up late just to see her and her alone!

  • COLBIE IS AMAZING

    by kris10 on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

what in incredible tallent!!! interaction is great.. her singing is fantastic and shes cute as a button... i would DEFINATELY see her again... and jason mraz joining her for the encore was the BEST ICING ON THE CAKE!!!

  • Amazing preformance by Coco

by PicklePharm on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Colbie was so awesome!!!! The venue was also super great in that it felt really intimate. Howie Day was terrible and wouldn't ever go to see him again. It felt like he was just playing for himself, didn't engage the crowd at all.

  • Great show but too late!

by sotired on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Colbie's performance was great, she played all the great songs and sounded just like the CD. The only draw back was the length of time between performances. She had two openers but the second one finished at 9:20 and Colbie didn't come on until 10:00. It felt like people were getting frustrated. I know I was! All and all, I was glad we stuck it out because she was great!

  • Mraz was just the icing on the cake!!!

by katerin on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Colbie was truly a treat to see in concert. She was kind and gracious while having a great setlist. Softer songs were mixed in with more upbeat, older with new. When she came on for the encore with Jason Mraz to sing their duet "Lucky" it was just the icing on the cake. The first opener Andy Davis was fantastic with a truly gifted voice. I was disappointed with the show Howie Day put on however.
