Colbie Caillat is an inspiration to all!

by Jfro on 2009-10-11Kool Haus - Toronto

Colbie Caillat is full of inspiration and with her music she is able to reach out to many people who are going through/or have been through smiliar experiences in their lives. She is looked up to by many and helps give aspiring musicians, like myself, strength to continue doing what we love.

    Great show, but long wait

by colbieluv on 2009-10-11Kool Haus - Toronto

The show was great!! But the wait was too long. Doors opened at 7 pm, didn't start opening acts until 8. First opening act finish at 8:30... then another 30 minute wait until 2nd opening act (9-9:30).... by this time, everyone was frustrated where Colbie was. She FINALLY came out at 10:00 and sang for an hour... she was lovely and great!! But should have better time management next time.

I really hope she comes back!

by Gezelle on 2009-10-01Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Colbie is not only beautiful, she is nice, grateful, and an amazing artist. What amazed me the most was when Jason Mraz came to sing lucky with her! He had a concert the day after and I hoped he would show up at her concert and it happened!! I really hope she comes to do another show here because her songs are so sweet and she has such a lovely voice.. sigh.. it was unforgettable.

Colbie was sweet. Guitarist was better

by LuckyJ on 2009-10-01Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

How could anyone not enjoy themselves? Colbie's sweet demeanor and chill aura made the concert a great time to get away from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver, and to be swept away to a California beach. I wasn't expecting much going in to the concert. I knew that I would be swaying instead of dancing, and singing along to the few songs I knew. She had a few surprises that made it really fun. Her rendition of "Don't Cha" was adorably entertaining. Her tech guy, Andy, sang a bad-ass Bob Marley song. Although she had a decent performance, a sunny personality and a gorgeous smile, I still wanted to fall asleep during some songs. Thankfully, there was someone in her band that kept me jittery. It was her gorgeous acoustic guitarist that stole the spotlight. ALOHA, JUSTIN!!! Wow! The Hawaiian native had the face of an angel. He was cooler than cool and lets just say every girl in that room wanted to be strummed like his ukulele. My girlfriends and I could NOT stop staring. We were in love. My camera has never taken so many pictures of just one person. And the big surprise Colbie spoke about in her Twitter? JASON MRAZ!!! I have never screamed so hard in my life! I lost my voice singing along to Lucky. Wow. That was definitely the best part of the night.

    Fantastic concert!

by lillium on 2009-10-01Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

What a wonderful concert by Colbie Caillat at the Commodore in Vancouver, BC. Her voice was clear and strong and I loved the way she interacted with the cheering audience. As well, there were several humorous skits in between songs. We were also treated to a surprise performance of "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie during the encore. A fantastic night and would love to do it again!

    Colbie Caillat is a star!

by Chilicarole on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Colbie was incredible. She performed all of her music impeccably and with style. She really connected with the audience and made the whole event seem very intimate. Her band was great and really joined in the fun. She came across as a very personable and grounded person and was seemed really grateful for the audience support and encouragement. When she had Andy sing "No Woman, No Cry" after joking around with him earlier, it was a great gesture and a surprising talent! Jason Mraz came on to sing "Lucky" with her, which was such a bonus for the audience and really seemed to give her a kick too. I'll be at her next concert, for sure.

    Colbie Caillat is shining

by ThorSten on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

It was very hard to stand up and wait for Colbie for two hours. Maybe that was mentioned somewhere when we booked the ticket, but I did not expect to wait for that long. Colbie seemed to be uneasy at the beginning, but after that she was shining. Looking straight into her eyes was poor joy and she was presenting a great show with a great team.

    Colbie Caillat sounds great live

    by krisb01 on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I attended Colbie Caillat's show at the Commodore in Vancouver and came away happy with her performance, even though the show could have been a bit better. The Good: Colbie sounded great and is very personable with the crowd. She sang around 14 songs, including an encore with Jason Mraz. In between most songs she would pause to tell a story, and while singing her voice sounded exactly as you'd expect her to. The Bad: Overall the quality of the sound could have been a little better. Her voice didn't sound as clear as I would have hoped, and I found the bass a little too overpowering at times, although not in every song. I also thought she could have made her performances a little more interesting. She didn't move around the stage or vary her performances much. Verdict: Colbie Caillat puts on a great show overall. While there were some negatives, her singing and the overall show as a whole outweighed them all. We came out of the show very pleased.

    Colbie Caillat was AMAZING AMAZING!

by TheCrowdSurfer on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Colbie Caillat was amazing singing live, she brought a very good stage presence brought a couple laughs to the audience, her band mates especially her guitarist from Hawaii she said had amazingly a very good voice also! OHH and Andy part of her stage crew did a very good cover of a Bob Marley GOO ANDY! haha I also enjoyed listening her sing my favourite songs "I Never Told You", "Bubbly" and "Fearless". The best part of this performance was her duet with Jason Mraz i had a slight feeling he was coming out considering his concert was the day after.. All in all this one of the best up close performances i've watched.. Colbie Caillat was amazing and shes gonna be even bigger than she is now.. you watch!.. - Amelia S

    Boring

by JAwesome on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Colbie was good, but her 2nd opener, Howie Davis-or something like that- was painful. It wasn't that he was so awful, he just sounded better once he stopped playing. People cheered at the end of the song only because it was finally over.

    Colbie Caillat MUST COME BACK!

by CuddleBunny on 2009-09-30Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I have been a long time fan of Colbie Caillat's music, and there is no WAY I would have missed it. The Commodore Ballroom was the perfect venue for such an intimate show and I don't think I could have asked for a better time. What made the show INCREDIBLE was not only Colbie Caillat's AMAZING voice, but her spontaneity and charm. Pulling out Jason Mraz was a sure treat and it was the absolute topping to an already perfect cake! I can't WAIT for Colbie's next appearance!
