Awesome, better than i could have imagined Still suffering from jet lags i thought I might fall asleep THAT never happen! Thanks for a great evening and venue (not a bad seat in the house) Clarke Theater in Mission
Ticket process was seamless. Great venue for this type of concert.
Such amazing talent from these 3 Gents! A Must See if you appreciate talent, guitars and a 3 man show (see what I did there)?
Exellent concert. Beat my expectations. Worth going to.
Colin James blues band was amazing from start to finish. Had never heard him play like that for a full show and would highly recommend it. Felt so personal and the Clarke theatre was an excellent venue we also had great seats. We definitely would see him again, unfortunately the two guys sitting next to us decided to talk like they were in a bar for the entire show. I don’t understand why people go to shows and do that when other people pay good money to listen to the artist. I think there should be an announcement made at the beginning of each show that talking is rude. It’s OK a little here and there but the entire show NO! I have to say that’s the one big thing that puts me off going to live shows and movies. There’s always those idiots that want to ruin it for everyone else.
Seen Colin several times over many decades. He's still amazing and super talented with abundance of energy. His band was awesome and the sound was clear and perfect! Bravo!
Colin James put on a great show he really loves being on stage lots of interaction with the audience, definitely a must see
The show was great - Ally Venable and Colin James both sounded fantastic. I was in the back row of the Gallery and there was a bit of echoing, which surprised me. That being said, I'd sit in the "cheap seats" again.
Collin James show was great. Only negative to us was first time back at Massey Hall since reno … architecture amazing and kept the historic feel but sat in balcony and and seats still WAY too close … no leg room .. anyone 5’11” and taller will be so uncomfortable… some had to try and put legs side ways .. my knees were touching the person in front of me. I would never go back unless I could get lower bowl seats. I get this is a historic d venue but in renovating this should have been addressed even if it meant changing layout a bit and loosing a few seats … so uncomfortable !!!
What a great show put on by Colin James at the newly renovated and amazing Massey Hall. This guy loves to play and plays it right! It’s great to see him still having so much fun On stage, like Mr James said during his show “ so many guitars, so little time”. So little time indeed, but worth every minute. Thank you
The show was great! Colin James always has so much energy and seems to love doing it. It was hard to understand the vocals. I suspect it ha something to do with how they are mixing the sound for the live show. I wish they could mix it so that the vocals come through loud and clear. The music overpowers the lyrics too much.
Opening act Allie Venable more than warmed the crowd up!! What a great talent she is!! James is a superb entertainer. His set was incredible and effectively incorporated music from Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He and his band have great timing and collaboration. Vocals were superb!! With stamina like this James will be engaging fans for years to come.
Deliberately picked floor area so I can dance because I knew there’s no way you can sit still while at a Colin James. He still knows how to rock it out. Did not disappoint. Amazing performance, awesome show. Danced two hours.
Visiting the newly renovated Massey Hall to experience Colin James this past week was double the pleasure! Felt proud to be a Canadian and to have such an amazing concert venue so accessible to Ontarians with the added bonus of listening to a blues man at the top of his game! He is just as energetic and versatile as he was when we first saw him over 25 years ago in Whistler at then snowboard festival! His voice was strong and his guitar playing exceptional and his back up band who he continually acknowledged were fabulous!
Massey hall all renovated very nice comfortable seats very affordablefloors seats
He always gives a great show. This time he was mind blowingly fantastic. Great show. Blew the roof off Massey Hall
I’ve been a fan since 1988! The first time I saw Colin was at the Purple Onion in Oshawa It was epic! I’ve pretty much seen him every year after that when he’s in the area. Due to the pandemic, this concert was postponed for 2 years 😞 He was well worth the wait! He opened with my fav “voodoo thing” I was in awe. He’s amazing and I have the utmost respect for his guitar playing ! When he hits the last note of “ why’d you lie” it brings tears to my eyes it’s so good. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next time!
Colin James was great but I had heard excellent things about the opening act, Ally Venable but was rather disappointed that she was only allowed 30 minutes to perform ( 3 songs ) and the lights for her act were nonexistent. I thought that was rather shabby treatment.
No disappointment here. Colin and his band left it all on the stage. Can’t wait to see him again.
