Colin James Tickets

One of my favourite performers. A world-class guitarist, a great rock'n'roll showman, and an all-round gentleman. He has some of the tastiest, well-played and -placed licks around, great material, a really excellent tendency towards driving, locomotive beats, lots of energy and great rock stuff! Top-notch backup band too. Occasional reminders of Springsteen/Clarence Clemons duos with the tasty sax player. Backup guitarist also great, even when playing his left-handed upside-down Strat! All good, really. I've enjoyed Colin immensely all three times I've seen him. Highly recommended.

2 hours of pure energy in a fantastic forum. The Orpheum was the totally best format for a performer such as Colin. The back up band was sharp and the crowd was into it,

unbelievable show. i've never hear an acoustic make sounds like that. WOW can't wait for the next time.

This is the 1st time we seen him live but won't be the last !!! Outstanding

Well he lived up to my expectations, as only a showman of his talent would. Just amazing HE ROCKED THE HOUSE .

I've seen Colin 4 or 5 times over the years but not in the last 10 years. I prepped my wife for a high energy show but instead we got a tonned down version of the guitar virtuoso. I'm not suggesting that it was bad but he definately has mellowed out quite a bit over the years judging by last night's show. It was still worth the price of admission and everyone seemed to really like it.

Colin James himself was awesome. I am never disappointed when I see him. The sound was not so good. The bass was overpowering at times and his trumpet player seemed off key if thats possible. Maybe he should get a better sound system at times it was like when you play a cheap pair of speakers to loud. But as a whole I think he is such a blast to watch. I have one complaint when I see Colin James there is never dancing allowed. I don't know if this is his personal request or the venues procedure. I have seen him at other venues where other artists have played and there was a dancing.

I've been listening to Colin James for a long time, and had never seen him live before. That was until last Wednesday night at the Orpheum Theatre. I sensed the crowd was ready for a good show. It took a about 5 songs for him to warm up. Colin really responded to the crowd's cheers and then he started to play some of his big hits. We all sang with him on "Just Came Back" and the crowd became very responsive. My wife and I sat in the lower balcony section, and "wow" did it ever get hot up there!!! Colin is a great performer. I wanted to hear all of the hits. I heard most of them that night. Thank You Colin James

Colin James is an incredibly talanted musician, we thoroughly enjoyed the show, a great mixture of old and new stuff, the venue was amazing, what a beautiful theatre, absolutely brilliant!

Fantastic Concert. Always love Colin James. Usually go whenever he comes to town. Back up singer was really good too - will go out and buy both their albums!

Colin James was good. He definitely is a great guitarist, but for that venue, I thought his choice of songs would have been better in a Blues bar with the ability to have a beer and get up and dance. He started out pretty weak I thought, but as the night went on the songs got better. Unfortunately, he left out my favorite Colin James song, "Why'd you Lie?". Some tunes fared better then others for the acoustics at the Orpheum. His big band-ish songs were great in there! The song "Keep on Loving me baby" which was played during the encore really stood out for me. It's much better live. Also, his version of Van Morrison's "into the Mystic" was great! It should be mentioned also that his opening act, Suzie McNeil was excellent! Her voice was quite incredible. Very impressive.

Colin James never disappoints ! He was fanfabulous ! The venue was subperb! His band was on.....expecially the sax !

Colin James put on a fabulous show last night in Vancouver at the Orpheum Theatre. The tour is to support the new album "Rooftops and Satellites" and they played almost all the songs from it. They sounded great. He did some old favourites and of course some blues. The only complaint we have is the sound - it was hard to understand what Colin was singing for the first 15 - 20 minutes of the concert. Almost like the sound guys didn't wake up until he started playing the hit songs! But overall a great show!

Seeing hometown boy Colin back on his home turf was undeniably one of the best concerts we've been to in quite some time. HIs musicianship and feeling for the blues is unmatched in this country. Good on ya' Colin !!

This concert far exceeded my expectations! I've been a fan of CJ right from the his first hit. So to see him perfore many of those songs as well as new ones really took me back. The show was honest, clean, quality live music- true professionalism. Great band to back up all those tasty guitar licks as well. Also, great value, the show was nearly three hours! (including the opener)

Colin James performed an amazing show; his talent playing guitar is unsurpassable. i was there with my two twenty-something sons, who are musicians, and they were very impressed with Colin's 'crank-it-out-style' and beautiful collection of guitars. Have a Great Tour, Colin, and keep it rockin.

In an era where performing "live" is almost an oxymoron, Colin James delivers!!! I lost count of the number of guitars during the set. The crowd was on their feet multiple times throughout the show. You felt as if one of your buddies was performing just for you. Colin's music has a tough time finding radio air play as his music cannot be pigeon-holed. I am grateful that he is still sharing his music at a live venue for all to enjoy.

Watching the concert I was in awe. Every song the band did was flawless. It looked like he had a different guitar for every song. The crowd was rocking all night. The venue was perfect, I have not been to the orpheum since the mid 70's it looks fantastic. Again the concert was number one in my books. Thanks Vic
