Absolutely fabulous as usual. Have seen Colin James numerous times throughout his career and consistently gives a brilliant performance. No matter how big or small the audience an class act always. I brought my 27 year old metal thrashing son and he enjoyed himself immensely. Well done.
This was a fantastic concert from beginning to end. Too bad the crowd was so unenthusiastic. That has to be the first time I've ever seen a crowd resemble a wax museum. I can't figure out why people would spend money just to sit and listen to the music when they can do that in their living room at home. Gezz they weren't even tapping their feet or clapping their hands....too bad for them! Colin James is an awesome performer and i will go back to see him again in a heartbeat.
Million dollar show. Performance to remember. Colin James is near and dear to his fans' hearts. Deserved a classy venue like the Orpheum. The crowd unbelievably endearing to him. He and his band deserved the standing "O." So glad I was there to experience it all. Thank you, Colin James!!!
I can't believe it took me this long to go see Colin James. IT was an excellent performance by himself and his band. All the songs were great...a very personal performance. Colin seemed to really enjoy jamming with the band and interacting with the audience. What an incredible guitar player! I've never seen such talent before! Great Job Colin!
GREAT CONCERT! GREAT BAND! First time seeing Colin James live and WOW - he's better in concert! Played lots of songs from his new album (which I love), and of course, all the classics. Probably had a different guitar for every song, including a sweet bright red steel guitar.
A friend & I sat in the front row. We had the best seats in the house!
So good!!! I love Colin James in concert. He's an amazing performer and he always seems to love what he's doing. The band is great, it was a great mix of old and new songs.
Colin James put on a great performance, his band was tight, and the entire experience was fantastic! Not to mention, Suzie McNeil who opened the show, got everything off on the right foot. Combine this kind of talent in a venue like the Kelowna Community Theatre and you are in heaven!
The night was extremely enjoyable. Suzie McNeil was a great opening act. Colin always was an amazing guitar player and a great performer and he was right on his game last night. With the change of guitars on almost every song he provided a different guitar sound on almost every song. He certainly gave us our money's worth and more, played continuously for almost 2 hours without a break. The set where he played alone with a guitar for 3-4 songs showcased a great guitar player and performer. If you haven't got your tickets yet for an upcoming concert go out and get one! You won't regret it!
Colin James certainly knows how to play guitar!! His concert was excellent with great interaction and very comfy seats! Just wondering why he changed the words in Keep on Lovin Me Baby...? Leaving out the 'You know what pleases me' didn't seem quite right... His guest, Suzie NcNeil, did a great job too! and her interaction with the crowd showed how much she loves entertaining.
A musical genius. An amazing singer and musician. The band was tight too. A really enjoyable evening. Colin was on stage for 2 hours. A must see - a real Canadian talent.
Colin James put on a great show at Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre. Every song was true to the CD version that you hear on the radio. He is a natural performer and "plays a guitar like ringin' a bell" I would highly recommend going to see Colin James if you get the chance. He is very personable on stage and even did a signing for the fans after the show for over an hour.
Everything about this concert was great. The venue, the band, the tunes, and of course the man, Colin James. He knows how to rock.
Colin James at The Orpheum. It couldn't get any better! The sound was amazing! 2 hours of pure delight. Music is the ultimate tool to relax, refresh and renew. The perfect start to a New Year!
The band was great as it has been in the past and Colin James was his usual spectacular lead. Only complain I had was the noise level and that, at times, his vocals were drowned out. But overall, it was a great concert.
This was my first time seeing Colin James and his band, and they did not disappoint. High energy, very tight sound and his voice is even better than it was twenty years ago! It was great to hear the mix of old classics and new songs, along with the Delta blues stuff in the middle of the set. Very good concert and worth every penny.
Found speaking voices hard to understand. The Venue is amazing and the music was worth the trip to Vancouver.
The concert was amazing. Colin James came on stage and held the crowd in his hands for the entire concert. His guitar playing was masterful and his voice was so clear and true to the sound on the CDs. The variety of music, and the number of different guitars he played was incredible. I have been wanting to see him in concert for some time and he did not disappoint.
Great concert. Colin James was excellent as he demonstrated his diversity in music styles. He played for a full two hours and never stopped having fun.
Really enjoyable show - a good mix of old & new...if the concert had anly one drawback it was that he didn't play anything from his "Little Big Band" album(s?) but hey, with all the great tunes he has, I won't hold it against him that he couldn't play them all. Overall a super concert at a reasonable price - we'd go again in a heartbeat!
