Tara Lightfoot was the opening act and she is brilliant both vocally and with her guitar. A most enjoyable and fun discovery. Colin James, his band and Steve Marriner exceeded my expectations. Colin played most of his fantastic hits from the early days, through the Little Big Band period and beyond. Not only was it a most eclectic blend of music, it was perfectly executed. The feedback between the band and the audience was magical. Thanks guys for a wonderful evening of music and for the encore!

First time I took in a Colon James show was back in the 90’s. The Capital in the Byward Market. I was blown away by the showmanship and the entire band. Guitars keyboards and drums wailing. Top notch vocals, an amazing performance over all. So many years later, he put on the same excitement in the songs and show. Didn’t miss a beat. I also enjoy Terra Lightfoot. Her solo performance showed her skill as an entertainer and song writer. Her skills a guitarist were on full display. Buy a ticket and enjoy the show!!!!

We got last minute tickets,and we're so delighted with the concert. Tara Lightfoot definitely set the stage with her rocking guitar and vocals! Knowing that this was Colin's first show since his car accident made the whole evening more special. His band are simply amazing and talented. The group as a whole and Colin, of course, showed the audience the meaning of musicianship! Smiles were abundant as we left the NAC!

We really enjoyed the Collin James Concert! His opening act Tara was great too! Definitely recommend this concert.

I really enjoyed the concern. Terra Lightfoot was a great warm up act. Colin James and his band were terrific. They played a range of classics and new material. Unfortunately, the sound from the musicians often drowned out Colin's singing. It's something with the NAC sound system. It's happened before with other singers. Overall, really glad I went.

What a great concert. He said he was just a man who wanted to play the guitar and sing and that's exactly how it appeared. His joy at playing was obvious and made us enjoy him even more. He was also very attentive and supported his fellow musicians well. Would definitely see him again.

I wish it were easier to reserve seating for concerts I want to attend. Otherwise a great venue...

I thoroughly enjoyed the show and the privilege of great seats, thanks to Rob and my son Jonathan. Colin James has been one of my favourites for many years and to see him at the Commodore made it even more special.

Love this guy! I have lost count as to how many times/venus I've seen him live. I have all his CD'S. Love that he is Canadian....one of the best of our talents. Thought the price of the beverages at the Commodore were excessive, but I guess everyone is trying to maximize their 'profit'.

Oh man what a night! Colin and Band were at the top of their game. I needed a night out in the worst way, and it was the best! Still humming Cadillac Baby 5 days later!
