Well to begin with you can never go wrong with seeing anyone at the Commadore …. Colin James is a true legend he never disappoints …. One of my favourite Canadian performers… Thanks for all the years of great music and performances…🫶
Great sound, great energy. So nostalgic. Commodore ballroom is a great little venue to enjoy dancing around on the floor while listening to great music.
What a great venue for the 30th anniversary of the Big Band album! Band was on point and CJ sounded amazing!
Colin James and the Little Big Band were right on the money, soulful and swinging hard, as they made their timeless music come alive for the sold-out house. Colin's voice and guitar were stellar. The horns were super-tight and groovy, and every musician in the band played tastefully - nobody ever overplayed. Fabulous arrangements, executed flawlessly. So glad I attended. Also, the lighting was exceptionally beautiful, working with the music perfectly., and front-of-house sound was 100% right throughout, something I can rarely say. Dynamic processing was used sparingly, so that the vocals and instruments were energetic and authentic but surging levels were tightly controlled where necessary. The volume levels were excellent, with the main FOH mix very occasionally touching 100dB for a few milliseconds at the end of songs, but generally landed squarely in the 87-94dB range during the show. That's pretty much perfection. When the band is this good and the crew are this good, the show really hits the heights. Kudos to all involved. Venue staff were also excellent.
Colin James playing at the Commodore is an unbelievable experience. Music played in a place it should be played. Old school blues and the venue is one of the best! Almost felt like the Blues Brothers were going to come in at anytime! The way music used to be enjoyed -- FUNTASIC!
WOW excellent show, the band was fabulous very talented! My family really enjoyed the music. We were distracted at times by the sloppy drunk patrons & some of pushing and shoving to weasel into our long held spots up front.
Parking was close but closed early. The venue is classic and has been cleaned up nicely. Performance was stellar, couldn't have ask for a better evening out
Music was fantastic, high class, wonderful sound at the Commodore! Would have preferred a lot more seating options OR clear warning otherwise. So glad I went but also may not have had I known I’d been standing 4 hours. (Including line up to get in)!

Can’t express how great Colin James was, the music venue was perfect. The band was fired up and finished with 4 extra sets. The crowd was into the music, it was a great evening. Colin you killed it!

Great concert. Colin James and little big band is always something I have wanted to see. Have seen Colin a few times and never disappoints. Glad we made trip to Vancouver to see him. Thank you for a great concert! Big band was also fabulous!
I saw Colin James about 20 years ago and he blew me away! I can't believe that this show was even better! His voice was amazing! We danced all night long and can't wait to see him again!
Overall the venue was great, service was good and music was first rate. We would have liked to have heard more of his popular classics. He clearly wants to be a blues man, which is great, but his popular classics are still in demand.
Have seen Colin many times and when i found out he was playing with the Little Big Band I knew the show and sound would deliver and it did......and then some...... Fantastic !!

The Colin James concert at the commodore was one of the best I have seen. A 60 song playlist plus 3 au core songs as well. The little big band was one of the best horn sections ever. Well worth the ticket cost. The commodore staff was very professional as well.
