Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

  • Dialogue hard to hear

by Squidcakes on 2024-09-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Wonderful show but we e in the back row of the dress circle on the right side and because of the people in front of us had trouble seeing the stage between their heads. We also found the dialogue hard to follow at times. But all in all a wonderful show. A bit surprised they didn't acknowledge the 23rd anniversary as we were there on September 11.

  • Absolutely Excellent!!!

Parking was a breeze ant the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Excellent seats, amazing cast, very talented musicians. They all looked like they enjoyed it as much as the audience did. Would recommend this production to anyone.

  • Good show but venue too large

by Jay on 2024-09-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I was with an elderly friend and forgot their are no elevators in QE theatre. Also added expense for buying tickets through ticket master was too high plus surfeit of directions for using etickets. I have been to several other venues this summer with much easier purchasing and access. That said, the show was very entertaining. 2 or 3 of the characters were hard to understand .

  • A great portrayal of the strength of the human spirit

by Catherine on 2024-09-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Come from Away does a beautiful job of telling the real stories of those impacted by 9/11 with humor and poignancy and makes Canadians proud of how Gander embraced the world. Well played and entertaining while reminding audience of the tragedies behind it. A bit hokey at times but made those few days come alive with humanity. Recommend others go see if they have the opportunity.

  • Great show!

by DD on 2024-09-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the show! This is the second time I have seen it. First time was in New York and when it was over I jumped up and yelled I’m Canadian!! I left one star bc we went to see the show specifically on Sept 11 and thought there might be a moment of silence or something to acknowledge it happened that day and how many years ago. Otherwise amazing!

Seen it twice now and loved it just as much as the first time. Not to be missed. True Canadian love.

  • Absolutely beyond delightful!

by TBunn on 2024-09-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely magnificent, & spectacular experience. We arrived at the Queen E with seconds to spare. With the help of the fabulous staff, we were shown to our seats, and literally 30 seconds later, this incredible show “Come From Away” started. From that moment on, we were swept up in this amazing & outstanding performance by the talented actors & musicians. It couldn’t have been more expertly, emotionally, & meaningfully portrayed. It was very apparent that the entire audience were enthralled. The actors went above & beyond all expectations, carrying each & everyone of us throughout this entire performance & the history of this time, where human beings made such an incredible impact on others lives by reaching out to help. The immediate standing ovation at the end of this show showed our deep appreciation of this most spectacular & emotionally charged performance. Heartfelt thanks to all from a most proud Canadian.

  • An Amazing Experience!

by PDC on 2024-09-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

It was a wonderful evening! It was fast-paced, riveting, and the cast did a wonderful job playing all the different characters with a minimum of props!! Lest they be forgotten, the musicians who remained in the background until the end, clearly played an integral part in bringing alive the true story of "Come From Away"! Kudos to all!

  • A great performance!

by Gigi. on 2024-09-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The performance was excellent, so much energy and so much information about what happened in Gander, on that terrible day! The sound was not very good in the DC but it still remains a memorable evening!

  • Amazing. Very well done.

by Susie on 2024-09-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I went to the musical with my best friend. He was worried that it was going to be too sad for him. We both thought the show was amazing. I can only imagine the mayhem that occurred in reality, but the musical depicted the situation well. We felt like we were a part of group. Thank you for a well produced musical. I HIGHLY recommend seeing it.
