Come From Away on Tour
The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.
Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!
The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

Excellent show. My only complaint is that the acoustics are not great at Scotiabank Center but realize that this is probably the only place big enough to hold this event. Also I object to having entirely digital tickets as this prevents a lot of seniors from going to the show.
Talent was excellent. Portable stages should be elevated at least by a foot. I am average height and spent a lot of time trying to follow.
The show was fantastic! So entertaining and such a great job by all actors. Shows how the residents of Newfoundland help those who were stranded.
Enjoyed the show it is a musical. It was informative, funny and good music. Highly recommend
We really enjoyed the performance; it brought back a lot of memories and helped us to better understand how 9/11 impacted so many lives in so many ways. The arena was sold out, the audience gave the cast a long standing ovation. Afterwards my wife commented that she was glad there was no intermission, and I have to agree.
This production shows the true human spirit of people given from their hearts to strangers. No judgement just pure kindness. A must see!!!
The show could not have been better! The cast was incredible! Unfortunately we purchased floor sets for the show. The last time this show was in town it was obvious on social media that the venue made it difficult to see the show (chairs bound together on the flat floor, no elevation). Scotiabank did nothing to fix this problem. I was able to see most of the show if I moved my head between people, my husband couldn’t see a thing. The people beside us were smart and moved. Instead of selling expensive floor seats they should’ve focused on the elevated seats to the side. $300 is a lot to watch the back of someone’s head
Was extremely well done! Exactly what I expected and was hoping for
Loved the show. So many emotions. I laughed and cried. If you have not seen it you are missing out.
What a terrific performance! Cast and crew worked continuously for 2 hours to bring us the story. Everything was so well done, it was amazing! Thank you for bringing the show to Halifax!
The play tells the story of 911 from a different perspective, from the passengers on the planes to the people of Newfoundland. I was fully engrossed in the story told and the very creative way it was portrayed. Well done all around!
The performance by the talented cast and musicians was excellent. In that short period of time, they captured the stress, the adventure, the fears, the uncertainty, and even the joys of community of that exceptional point of history. Very talented people, very beautifully presented.
This "Come From Away"performance was very good. Being from Nova Scotia with relatives in Newfoundland I hoped it would be a heartfelt, feel good and kind experience. Truly amazing how the players switch roles, stay coordinated and have the ability to transform us into their world. However, myself and two friends found it a little hard to hear or really understand many of the words they sang. The time flew by, maybe a little too fast, like a whirlwind. We had decent seats, not the most expensive, not the least expensive, and have sat in them for other events. As I type this, thinking we would love to see it again (not possible/sold out) because I'm sure we would enjoy it and catch more of the details. One suggestion this venue may consider, for performances such as this, would be a couple of "big screens"on either side to enhance everyones experience. In the end, grateful to attend.
I laughed, cried, and experienced every emotion in between. The best production I have ever seen and would diffently see it again. Any one from Newfoundland should be very proud.
A must-see for anyone who loves live theatre. Emotional, funny, engaging, very well done!
Flew from Toronto to Halifax to see this. Amazing. Would highly recommend it to all
A very memorable afternoon spent at this outstanding Halifax Broadway performance. Great, dancing, exceptional vocalists, very, and alive, humourous portrayal of the stranded air !passengers meeting the great people of Newfoundland!
I couldn't figure out how a musical could be made from this story, and wasn't sure what to expect. I was so impressed. What a performance by these very talented artists! It was so entertaining. I would see it again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic show. I even learned some things about that event. Magnificent!
