  • Another memorable night!!!!

by mschwa1978 on 2011-02-28Canadian Museum Of Civilization Events - GatineauRating: 5 out of 5

This is my third time seeing Comfortably Numb. Their devotion to the music of Pink Floyd is astonishing and impressive. They do a great interpretation of the songs as they put their hearts and souls into the music. Comfortably Numb is always an experience to remember and I look forward to seeing them again in the future!

  • Great band, great show, well worth the money!

I have read so many reviews on different tribute bands from floyd to ozzy, it seems in this day we all have very strong opinions and we all seem to be right - all of the time. The flaming online and critiques are hilarious at times but the bottom line is do you like the shows or not and if not don't go again but allow others to see for themselves. I have seen all the usual suspects, the Aussie show, the experience show and some others as well in Europe, Comfortably Numb is a tribute to Floyd in the real sense, they love the music first, their playing and detail is amazing. What I love mostly is the fact that it is not a note for note show where there is no feeling and/or expression but an actual sense of what floyd may have done in their hey day. Being a collector of rare live albums (thats cds for those of you that dont know what an album is :) I really enjoy hearing the guiatrist nail the feel of the 70's, he has obviously taken some time to hear the live tracks and without speaking on their behalf I think their show is based on the live performances. I was thoroughly entertained and I did not feel as though I had wasted any time of money. So for those of you wanting to get out and listen to a floyd band, try Numb I am sure you'll be happy, if not then so be it, but I can't see why not given that they have sold out over and over again for years - no this is my opinion and mine alone, if it helps you buy a ticket to a GREAT BAND, i was glad to help.

  • Excellent Show, SUPERB BAND

by PeterPiper on 2011-02-19The Opera House Toronto - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I proudly attended a Comfortably Numb show at the Opera House in 2008 and it is still probably in my top 5 concerts of all time. Probably the longest concert I have seen as well. Show started at 8pm and ended at MINDNIGHT !! 4 Hours long..completely lost track of time and could not believe they ended their 3 super long sets at midnight. The show was sold out, over 1000 people jammed packed. They had 3 sold out shows that weekend at The Opera House. It was very hard to get a ticket but I was very happy to get my hands on one. The band played all of Wish You Were Here, Animals, and Dark Side of the Moon, plus half the Wall. I couldn't believe it. This band simply loves playing Floyd and does a excellent job doing so. I've attended other "very over produced", "high priced" Pink Floyd tribute shows thinking they must be good to demand and a $65 + ticket and they were simply not half as good as Comfortably Numb. It seems some of theses other tributes spend all their time on their flashy light shows to camouflage the fact they don't sound or play like Pink Floyd at all. Comfortaby Numb has got it right as they concetrate on the music first and then layer on the rest of the show production. I can't wait to see them again March 19 in Toronto. Simply the best Pink Floyd tribute I have ever seen hands down. I recommend this show to anyone who likes Pink Floyd or live concerts for that matter. 6 Thumbs Up for Comfortably Numb.

  • Amazing Concert

by MichelleBelanger on 2011-02-18Museum of Civilization - GatineauRating: 5 out of 5

I just bought my tickets to the Comfortably Numb concert at the Museum of Civilization. I can't wait ! I saw them play there last year and it was probably one of the best concerts I attended in 2010. Very long show, I think it was close to 3 hours long, definately your money's worth. Superb band, sound, and light show. I was taken back how amazing the concert was and how near perfect the band played Pink Floyd live. For anyone else attending their concerts, make sure you get a comfortably seat, you'll be sitting for along time, but well worth your time. You won't want the band to stop playing at the end of it, becomes infectious. The main singer and guitar player is simply outstanding.

  • Comfortably Numb takes the cake !!

by Superfan1964 on 2011-01-06Trois Rivere Music Festival - Trois Rivere, QubecRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Comfortably Numb by fluke at a music festival in Trois Rivere, Quebec and it was the best show of the festival by far ! Best Pink Floyd Tribute band I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of tributes. Always heard of Comfortably Numb missed them last time at the Spectrum in Montreal but I can't wait to see them at Metropolis, probably the best live music venue in Canada. 15,000 people cheered from start to finish at the festival show, this band is superb, real deal, true honest raw performance. The guitar player and main singer is an absolute beast on the guitar, plays and sounds like Gilmour. They would make Pink Floyd proud if they ever saw this band live. Highly Recommend this show to everyone ! See you at the Met March 12 gonna be an awesome show.

You have to be kidding. The music world is in deep trouble obviously... as is the consumer base.

This was the 4th time that I have seen Comfortably Numb and every show has been great but different. All of Dark Side of the Moon and Animals was fabulous!! It was my girlfriends first time seeing Comfortably Numb, and she wants to see them again, next time the are in Toronto. I'll probably bring some friends along the next time.

We've been going to see Comfortably Numb for years, I think its been close to 10 years if I am not mistaken, they are EXCELLENT. We brought friends with us, they told other friends. We rarely missed their shows unless we coulnt go. They are fantastic, we went to see Roger Watters the sunday before and then them. We just love them. Keep it up !
