    Great show BAD sound

by boodoggy on 2009-11-05Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

I love the band and they can put on a show, but the sound was terrible. I like to hear the words and what people are saying between the songs and it was so muddy. Too bad.

    Corb Lund Is Amazing!!!!!!!!

by twistersgirl on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

Corb Lund is an amazing band and their concert in Red Deer was phenomenal. They sound exactly the same live as they do on their records and the instruments used sound so cool. I would recommend Corb Lund to any person who likes hearing songs sung by a real country boy that knows what that lifestyle is like and actually sings about it.

    Awesome Corb Lund concert

by Priss on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

Was awesome to get a chance to see Corb Lund Band back in Red Deer. the show was great, and the opening band was great, but didn't catch their name. What a nice experience to allow open floor plan instead of row seating, a much more enjoyable way of experiencing the concert!

    Corb a bore

by Goon on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

The band was having a hard time playing together. The lead guitar was in his own world! We could not hear Corb Lund over all the various noises the band members were making. I liked the stand up base playing, though!

    Corb Lund, Losing Lately Gambler

by Anonymous on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

I was very pleased with the consert. However, I was disappointed that the floor tickets that I purchased were standing only, this was not indicated when I requested floor seats.

    Corb Lund was awesome!

by Anonymous on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

Corb Lund could not have put on a better performance and I enjoyed the concert very much. I do have a complaint about the fans. I was standing on the floor close to the stage. After experiencing the rude behavior of so many people around me I doubt I will buy floor tickets again. I was pushed.around the whole evening with others trying to get closer to the stage. For me the concert was ruined because of overly excited fans pushing and sloshing their drinks over me. I would have liked to have seen security keeping people in line especially the ones crowding the stage.

    Very poor venue...skating rink

by carlieo on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

Corb Lund with Ridley Bent opening are two of the best root country artists in the country. Bent even throws in a bit of rap that is truly amazing. But the venue. Centrium in Red Deer. Holy hell! No one should have to play in that place. Worst acoustics I have ever heard. You know that music act you search for on Youtube but you don't watch it because the sound is so bad? Yep. Just like that. Again. It was not the music. I travelled 300 kms to hear Corb Lund because he is the best but I will not go to the Centrium in Red Deer again to hear anyone play. Only fit for hockey games...

    Sound system was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymous on 2009-11-04Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

What a disappointment! We were seated along the side of the arena up in the second level and all the speakers were pointing into the middle. The words of the songs for both entertainers were hard to heard from the music. Eventually we moved to empty seats in the middle where the sound was better, but certainly not the best. We've been to concerts in the Centrium where the sound was much better! It really ruined what should have been a great show!

    Corb was awesome

by shmink on 2009-11-03The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

The show was 2 hours of nonstop entertainment. Corb's interaction with the audience was both entertaining and unforgettable. At one point during the show he even gave a drunk audience member a body check off the stage to which the crowd cheered in approval. I had never seen Corb Lund before but I cannot wait to see him and the hurtin Albertans again. I will definitely be the first in line to get tickets to their next show in Saskatoon.

I loved both shows, Ridley Bent was very cordial and stopped to take a picture with me. Corb Lund was an awesome show, this was the first time that I was able to take in their concert and I will definately take in another event in the future.

Corb Lund Dashing in Black Tailored Suit!

by prairiedawn on 2009-11-03Broadway Theatre - Saskatoon

The lights came up and Corb and his band launched into Long Gone to Saskatchewan. The night was off to a good start. All the men were outfitted in black suits and Corb was sporting a black cowboy hat with his rakish hair barely kept at bay. Sharp! The songs were tight, the musicians were obviously enjoying themselves and Corb's wicked sense of humour and amazing lyrics made the time fly by and make you wish for more. His songs are funny, heartwarming and patriotic. They did a number of songs from the new album mixed with what are surely old favourites for many. (I am new to his music having only seen him for the first time this summer). Their long-time producer Harry Stinson was on tour with them for a couple of weeks and it was nice to hear the voice in the background on the new album on stage. He always seems to have a smile in his voice and a glint in his eye, but when he sings a song like This is My Prairie for his Mom it can give a girl a lump in her throat. Of course previous to that he has you in stitches with a song called Talkin' Veterinarian Blues for his Dad. I do recommend checking out a show if Corb Lund comes to your town. This one was sold out. You are sure to have leave with a smile on your face. I was tempted to go to the show the next night too!

    Intelligent hillbilly!!

by rural10 on 2009-11-03Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Corb Lund is absolutely clever and quirky...he relates to the poor 'lil farmers who struggle to survive, ('Hard on Equipment'), as well as the rural 'whole'..('Family Reunion')..the material is especially designed for the lot of us who got stuck growning up in the prairies..Until recently, I had never heard of this band that my farmer boyfriend raved about..I'm sure they must know each other...

    Crob Lund didn't Disapoint!

by SJB123 on 2009-11-02Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Great concert! Ridley Bent had a great opening set. I had forgotten how many good songs Bent had put out recently. He has a pair of fantastic gutiar players! Corb Lund took a bit to get going. The first couple songs sounded like they were right off the CD. After 2 or 3 songs though the show took life. His bass player is awesome! Overall the show was AWESOME! The 2 encores were well deserved! Definetley one of the best I have been to.

corb lund and the hurtin' albertans

by imagine1 on 2009-11-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

overall i thought the show was really good. but i will admit that i went to last years' corb lund show which was roughly at this time of year and much preffered his selection of songs on that peticular show. one thing i did not like on this most recent show was that they let the first two rows of the main floor stand up close to the stage which only created some obstructed view and not only that it also created problems with some intoxicated individuals which eventually had to be removed from the stage area and also on the final encore two more intoxicated individuals jumped on stage causing corb to cut short one of my favorite songs (counterfeit blues). besides all that i think it's a great venue to see live music, seats, sound etc... oh yah, i thought ridley bent was good too.

    Tired in Mount Forest

by RosemontAlpha on 2009-10-31Roxy - Mount Forest Ontario

Saw Corb at the Roxy Mount Forest- it's a pretty small venue for a Polaris nominee- particularly if you played the Rexall and other large venues- Should have made for an unforgettable concert but seems the band were either very tired or distracted by some of the beer swilling fans (at times the fans seemed louder than the band). Overall it was a good concert but I felt it lacked the magic that I was expecting. Maybe the boys need a little more rest between shows, musically great but could have been more energetic and engaging- the Mike Plume Band were a great opening act

    Hurtin' for an encore!

by Anonymous on 2009-10-28The Horseshoe Tavern - Toronto

Excellent show - great atmosphere, great opening bands, great music. The show was classic - a dirty crowded country bar with a country folk band with a modern twist. It's hard to find shows like this these days. You don't need special effects, you need a duct taped amp attached to Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans!

    Corb Lund Outperforms again!

by CorbROCKS on 2009-10-27The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Corb put on another AMAZING performance at Hamilton Place. The small-ish venue was perfect for getting close to the band although at times there seemed to be a little lack of energy... mostly stemming from the older crowd in attendance. It still boggles my mind how some artists have CDs go platinum in the first week and Corb doesn't. He's bloody fantastic! If I didn't have prior engagements on Wednesday, I'd be going to see him in Guelph too.
