About

After more than 15 years, Culture Club are returning to Australia in June with Perth being their official first performance of their world tour. These shows will see the original line-up on stage:  singer Boy George, guitarist / keyboardist Roy Hay, bassist Mikey Craig and drummer Jon Moss.

Adulation around the world and soaring record sales saw Culture Club become one of the biggest bands on the planet back in the 1980’s.  Over the course of their career, they have 50 million record sales to their name.  The band went on to achieve stunning success with their debut album Kissing To Be Clever and in particular, scoring three Top Ten hits in the US and becoming the first group to hit that milestone since The Beatles.  ‘’Time (Clock of the Heart)” has also been included on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs that shaped rock and roll.  In 1984, Culture Club won the Brit Award for Best British Group and Best British single for ‘’Karma  Chameleon’’ and also won a the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.  Quite simply, Culture Club are considered one of the most successful bands of their generation.

    Voice was in fine form!

Culture Club did not disappoint. I forgot what a great voice Boy George has. It might be hard to tell from some recent performances on you tube where he sounds quite raspy. They had brought their brass players with them so the music sounded richer and 3 excellent back up singers doing the Helen Terry parts. A mix of thei hits and some of the new. It was a great night!

    He's got his sparkle back!

Played the old hits, - played some new stuff and for a few minutes less than 2 hours the whole room had a whole lotta fun with The Boy & his band! George was having a great time entertaining his fans and clearly the energy in the room was felt by all. Welcome back Culture Club!

    Culture Club did not disappoint!!

I haven't been to a show at the River Rock before and so was quite surprised at the venue 'nightclub' layout. However turns out this is great for dancing along and is very intimate; we were 20ft from the band! The band was without drummer Jon Moss (they said he was sick) but they played 2 hours straight - all the hits, new songs and some covers. Sounded great and Boy George is always entertaining - if a bit mellower than in his 20's (aren't we all!) Backing band and singers all great.
