Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic music band formed in Wirral, Merseyside in 1978. Founding members Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys pioneered a distinctive synth-pop sound, scoring major hits like "Enola Gay" and "Maid of Orleans." Rounded out by members Martin Cooper (keyboards, saxophone) and Stuart Kershaw (drums), OMD released several acclaimed albums in the 1980s, and have continued to record and perform over the decades.

I finally got to see OMD live again after more than 30 years, and it was so worth the wait. They sounded just as amazing as they did in the ’80s. Every song hit perfectly, and they played all the classics we came to hear. The Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver was the ideal venue: small, intimate, and with fantastic sound. You could feel every beat and synth line. It made the whole night feel personal and unforgettable. OMD gave it their all, and the crowd was right there with them. I even treated myself to a souvenir t-shirt—how could I not? They’re my favourite band of all time, and this show only confirmed it. Absolutely unforgettable and electric.
OMD never disappoints and brought their talent and energy to Vancouver again. The live act sounds very much like their recordings of decades past and they interact with the audience well. If you get the chance, go see this class act of British New Wave excellence.
Orpheum is a beautiful theater, but absolutely not conducive to getting up and dancing to the music.
This was a spectacular show. Grew up listening to OMD and happy to say they’ve still got it! A great mixture of old and new songs. Such a fabulous evening!
Awesome time - great atmosphere- music quality perfect
OMD never disappoints they sound awesome, are energetic and get the audience dancing, which I love. The only disappointment was the band was set up too close to stage and when Andy McCluskey was moving around the stage he was hard to see at times from lower balcony seats.
Best show ever. Best venue! Best crowd! Great performance!
The best concert I've ever been to. Excellent songs, professional production, amazing energy. Fantastic venue.
First time seeing OMD anywhere including on video. These two Glaswegians who are friends from high school put on a great show. The whole show including the back up band was extremely professional. Surprising how many songs I knew as they obviously have a large repertoire after 40 years together. The setting in Stanley Park, in Vancouver was amazing. We were visiting the fifth highest ranked city in the world of Vancouver for a week and found out they were perfuming. Lucky to get resale tickets. Great live experience and our first concert since the pandemic started.
