About

After more than 15 years, Culture Club are returning to Australia in June with Perth being their official first performance of their world tour. These shows will see the original line-up on stage:  singer Boy George, guitarist / keyboardist Roy Hay, bassist Mikey Craig and drummer Jon Moss.

Adulation around the world and soaring record sales saw Culture Club become one of the biggest bands on the planet back in the 1980’s.  Over the course of their career, they have 50 million record sales to their name.  The band went on to achieve stunning success with their debut album Kissing To Be Clever and in particular, scoring three Top Ten hits in the US and becoming the first group to hit that milestone since The Beatles.  ‘’Time (Clock of the Heart)” has also been included on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs that shaped rock and roll.  In 1984, Culture Club won the Brit Award for Best British Group and Best British single for ‘’Karma  Chameleon’’ and also won a the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.  Quite simply, Culture Club are considered one of the most successful bands of their generation.

  • Culture Club is alive & well!

Boy George still has it! I actually consider him to be a better singer now than he was before! He is amazing live. Entire group were fantastic and the boys on the brass instruments were having such a great time dancing. The entire audience was part of the show as Boy George did a great job of reaching out to everyone. I'd see him again in a minute.

What a great night. My sister and I went and had a blast. He sang all of my favorite songs plus some ones I didn't know but enjoyed. He was full of energy and quite funny. Of course there were costume changes which I love and he looked great.

I was a huge fan of Culture Club when I was a lot younger. The songs he performed brought back a lot of memories. The band was slick and performed very well. Boy George sounded great and sang some of his greatest hits. His is talented and I'm glad they have joined back together for this North American Tour.

  • Culture Club wow !

by TommyLNER on 2015-08-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

CC played Casino Rama near Orillia. Large theatre attached to the casino and hotel complex Our seats were on the mezzanine level middle front. Great view plus two large screens either side of the stage. Concert appeared to be sold out . Audience spanned the whole demographic 20's to 60's. In addition to the original CC line up there was a horn section and 3 female back up singers plus addit guitar. The sound was excellent. Boy George was in fine form and his voice whilst a little lower than it was in the 80's was clear . Several costume changes for BG during the show including one particularly outrageous head piece that apparently he had to "wrestle" Lady Gaga for! Most of the hits plus some new music. Apparently a new album next year? Standouts were Black Money ,Victims and DYRWTHM. Go and see these guys !!

  • Just Like Old Times Again

by Piimaa on 2015-08-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Growing up in the 1980's was an extremely special decade for me. Their songs have been a huge part of my life since I was 10 years old. It felt great that they came back to Canada since 1984, when I missed a chance to see them. They still have the old magic that made them great in the first place. It always pays to write your own songs, because it comes from the heart. Sadly, most of the mainstream pop is loaded with violence and imagery of greed. I feel very fortunate that I grew up at the time these guys came around. They will always be "My Beates" and "My Fab Four". I hope that the band can keep recording together for as long as they can. I look forward to buying their latest record and enjoyed their new songs. I wished that they had a program book to buy for memory keepsakes. I was hoping that they would cover songs from their third album, "Waking Up With The House On Fire". On the whole, it was a great concert, and I do hope they come back again.

  • Amazing Concert

by ingrio on 2015-08-08Caesars Windsor - OntarioRating: 5 out of 5

Culture Club was joined by several other musicians and singers. Incredible musicianship and energy from the whole band. Boy George clearly loves to perform for his audience, although now it is a mature and wise attitude that is gracing the stage. His voice is superb, and together with his energy, is mesmerizing. Excellent sound system - loud but clear. Great reverb. Lighting was fantastic, but I'm glad I brought my shades. A thoroughly enjoyable concert, one that I hope to be able to experience again.

It was a mix of old and new material - all great! After 30 yrs he proved he still has it going on and he did it ohhh so effortlessly!!! AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
