DALLAS SMITH IN CONCERT:
Dallas Smith first rose to fame as the frontman of alternative rock band Default, but he's sure to rise even higher as a country rock solo artist. He's already earned comparisons to Keith Urban and Jason Aldean, and fans lucky enough to catch him live will have no trouble seeing why he's country's hottest new addition. Feel-good, hook-heavy anthems like "Trippin' Point" and "Slow Rollin'" are tailor-made for summer party soundtracks, and Smith delivers them perfectly at his live shows. A natural showman who delivers fast-paced, energetic performances, Smith never fails to have ticket buyers dancing in their boots all night long.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.
It was a great show. I was a little disappointed the Mackenzie and Chad barely performed but overal it was a really good show
Amazing energy- great music-fantastic musicians!!!!
Great show, when it ended I wanted more. It gave me a feeling of being in Craven. Upbeat and we didn’t know what was next, I Loved it! My only negative comment was the music overpowers the singer so we cannot make out the words. These are great songs with great stories. I would go back to see this show again.
What about amazing show, if you have the chance to go, GO!!!!
Dallas smith is an outstanding performer he engages with the crowd and is a extremely talented artist
Amazing concert! One of the best country concerts for me yet!
Ya I know it was a country show but wow did this show rock!! Two great openers and Dallas Smith blew us away. I’ve loved him for many years. Since I saw him sing in his old band default! Loved the venue and the pit seats (general admission) was the best!
Was an amazing concert . Dallas was awesome. The opening act was too loud though !!
Dallas Smith is a fantastic live performer! Absolutely loved this show!
One of the most hyped country concerts I've been to
3rd time seeing dallas smith. He is amaxing live. The venue was great, easy to get around, good food and drinks. We had stage pit general addmission. Was unreal!
This was my 9th time seeing Dallas Smith live and he always puts on such a fun show. I would go see him performe time and time again!!
The entire evening was fantastic. The surprise guests were a great addition.
Dallas had two good backup singers and then have two more new and upcoining singers, just shows what kind of guy he is. Giving others a chance to show their stuff. Very descent person. Except for a couple songs, he sang all songs that have been on the radio and a hit. Now that is impressive to how many hits he has.. He sang perfectly, was so clear but the music was a bit too loud. I get it should be loud but a bit too much. I found that was like that at my last concert there too. Dallas had everyone dancing and screaming. He did an amazing job. Thanks Dallas for being such great entertainer. Glad you came home.
Dallas always puts on an amazing show, but this one was the best. He had lots of special guests and sounded amazing. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Such an awesome time!
The set lacked diversity, would have liked to have heard songs other than just the high tempo party songs, didn't play majority of the more mature songs he has. Was disappointed by the fact the set was mixed with the set of an opening artist, rather than the headliner during the headliner time slot. Overall disappointed.
Dallas sounded as great as I thought he would. Non stop performance and came back out for an encore. Ticket worth buying and seeing him again. The coliseim wasn't full and those that didn't buy a ticket missed an Awesome performance.
Nothing against the artists, it is the sound people that screwed up. The sound was absolutely horrible, was almost impossible to hear what the words to every song was. Even when Dallas Smith was just talking he was very hard to hear.
I would 100% go see him again!! It was an unreal show, couldn’t of been better!
Dallas is undoubtedly a great performer. Love his music! But the fact that we bought Country 105 pre-buy tickets which were issued with a Row number and Seats numbers it was disappointing to discover when we got there that there was in fact NO seats. I paid WAY too much money to stand in a pit of drunken concert goers. After two opening acts only made it 5 songs into Dallas Smith and then had to leave. Also thought the sound was not great as it was way too loud.
