DALLAS SMITH IN CONCERT:
Dallas Smith first rose to fame as the frontman of alternative rock band Default, but he's sure to rise even higher as a country rock solo artist. He's already earned comparisons to Keith Urban and Jason Aldean, and fans lucky enough to catch him live will have no trouble seeing why he's country's hottest new addition. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.
Dallas Smith put on an amazing show ! He knows how to get the crowd going. Also, Lauren Alaina did a great job as the opening act! I would go see both of them again !
The performances were fabulous! The guy who moved to an empty seat in front of me with the 10 gallon hat- Sooooo annoying. We then had to move to other seats. I would also rather sit in the first section of tiered seats. Still live the Colosseum and its offerings.
I enjoyed the concert. At times, the music overwhelmed the vocals. This has been a problem at a few concerts that I have attended recently at the Colosseum. There were several people who left before the concert finished because of this.
Attended with my son and we were blown away at all the artists but Dallas Smith just blew me away. He is so talented and his show and songs were all amazing!
What an unbelievable concert last night in Hamilton at the First Ontario Concert Hall. Dallas Smith is an amazing and talented Canadian artist, who is very humble, authentic and to top it off, is also a mental health advocate. He is one artist that does not mind sharing the limelight on stage, which was evident by his promotion of his two opening acts, Lauren Alaina and The Cadillac Three as well as bringing Michael Ray on to the stage to give him a shout out and to have him perform. Loved him in Default and even more so now as he rocks the charts in Country...Yes, he did perform some Default songs too, which was icing on the cake.
Great show but way too loud. Songs were distorted and would have sounded much better if it wasn’t quite as loud.
Absolutely amazing night watching Dallas Smith. I would highly recommend attending a concert on his current tour!
We had a great time at the concert! Cadillac Three, Dallas Smith and the guests stars were all amazing. LOVED how involved he was with the fans, would love to see him again!
The night started with Cadillac Three. There sound was not distinguishable, couldn't hear the vocals, and the sound was not clean. We left and got a snack, hoping that this rock show was over soon and could be appreciated by others. It was time for Dallas. I listen to Dallas Smith music all the time. I love the new record. It is outstanding, wonderful lyrics and award winning vocals and music. I was so disappointed when Dallas did the same thing as Cadillac Three. Loud, sound not clean, couldn't hear the vocals, busy taking selfies with the front row. We left about half way through. I kept hoping the performance would improve, but it just got worse and worse. No more Dallas Smith concerts for me. Where is the country/folk artist that I love! GONE! I do NOT recommend going to a Dallas Smith concert. By the way, we weren't the only ones. No one around was clapping or seemed to be enjoying the show either.
I've seen this guy in concert many times and he never ceases to disappoint!
He was amazing! such a great show and venue :) Just wish you could bring alcohol into the event but it was still a lot of fun.

From start to finish, we did not sit down! Almost the whole entire entertainment area was on their feet! What an amazing show! From the openers Cadillac 3, guest appearances by Andrew Hyatt and Shawn Austin, Dallas and his band had the crowd engaged and loving every minute of it! Great job gentlemen, we had such a good time!
Dallas will move you! Great concert to get you up and going! Excellent would highly recommend. Casino Rama is also a great place to watch any concert.
For anyone that is wishing to see someone that is truly talented, Dallas Smith is the concert for you. His vocals are amazing and his showmanship is nothing short of incredible!

Dallas Smith was absolutely amazing!! He was so appreciative of his fans and gave a really great show. Always taking pictures for his fans, lots of energy and a true Canadian. Love, love loved the show.
My second time seeing him. Just as great as the first. Amazing live voice. Would definitely see him again.
