    Great Show

by Ashley on 2019-11-22London Music Hall - London

Dan was obviously amazing as he always is. There were small technical issues that led to the sound board needing to be reset, but Dan kept the crowd entertained during that time. I wish the website showed that GA was seating, because I spent extra to sit on the balcony without knowing it would’ve been seating below as well. Overall great show. Opening band was a lot of fun, too.

    Dan is The Best!

by WillyZ on 2019-11-22London Music Hall - London

Everything about the show was perfect. The sound at the hall was amazing, the set list hit all the right notes, and Dan Mangan’s voice is simply incredible. He is warm and genuine and even finds time to connect with his fans.

The BEST concert I have been to!

by Nighthawk18 on 2019-11-22London Music Hall - London

This was an amazing concert! I did not want Dan Mangan and his band to stop playing. From the atmosphere, the crowd involvement, (our great seats at the front of the balcony) and, of course, the music, it was the best concert experience I have had! It was refreshing to see new takes on a couple of his songs, as well, to switch things up, and we really liked the modified versions! Again, it was an awesome night that I wish didn't have to end.

Dan Mangan was amazing as expected!

Great show, superb venue with great acoustics. My only complaint is that the light show pointed directly into my eyes at points in the show so I could not see.

As always, Dan Mangan + Blacksmith were nothing short of magnificent. They played a good variety of old and new music, and told some great stories. Amazing artists.

Absolutely talented musicians, both Dan Mangan and band as well as the Rural Alberta Advantage! Can't wait to see them again!

    Rural Juror

by RuralJuror on 2012-11-10Kelowna Community Theatre - Kelowna

RAA knocked my socks off! I'm still trying to get them back on. I was a little disapointed that they didn't have any medium shirts left but I understand that it was almost the end of their tour so I bought another of their cd's that I gave to a friend. Unbelievable sound for a three piece and the drummer is gnarly! I would have watched them twice! Dan Mangan has a great voice and his music is good but I thought there was just too much noise going on and it really took away from my enjoyment of the show.

    Wonderful Experience

by Humbird on 2012-11-06The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

Dan Mangan is an amazing performer and created such an enjoyable atmosphere. He was positive and energetic. I had the pleasure of meeting him after the show and was continuously impressed by how sincere he was to his fans after the show as well. He signed a CD for me, and even asked for my name. Not only did he ask for my name - he asked if it was spelled with an H. It was a small/nice gesture that added to a very memorable and pleasant experience. It is refreshing to know that such an amazing artist is so genuine too.

An example of great Canadian music. Excellent audience acknowledgement.

Not a great venue...made the music hard to enjoy. I love Dan Mangan's music. His voice is so great, but I couldn't really hear his voice at this show...it was just a bunch of loud harsh sounds. And I'm going to sound like an old person, but the Odeon feels like a place where only all-ages shows should go. I like sitting with a drink in my hand listening to good music....and it was hard to do that at this show.

    Dan Mangan was amazing

by ABAM on 2012-11-05The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

One of the best shows I have been to in the last year. Super interactive. They played for basically 2 hours straight. I will definitely be attending the next time he is in town.

Dan Mangan is just the coolest. I wish the Burt didn't hold back anyone who wasn't sitting in the first three rows; it was awesome of Dan to ask them to stop turning people away. He came into the crowd twice to sing. Unreal.

Dan Mangan captures crowd at burton Cummings

by Anonymous on 2012-11-03Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Dan Mangan was simply stunning at the burton Cummings theatre on November 1st, 2012. His ability to electrify the crowd, making then sing the chorus in songs, and have the whole theatre sing along is what made the concert. Although most of Mangan's songs were slow, he is so passionate about why he does that it doesn't matter. Nice, nice very nice, Mangan's second album remains my favourite and I do wish he had played more from that album, but the set was amazing. Rural Alberta advantage was also very good and played all there hits. Burton Cummings theatre has great acoustics an the atmosphere was great for the concert. However, the bar closed at 945 for a show that went till roughly 1110. That was a terrible decision made by management as Mangan didn't even come on till after 9. At one point near the end, he cheersed the crowd with his drink, and ppl were yelling about the bar being closed. Worst management decision I've ever seen in my entire life by a venue.

Those who like him, like him a lot

by docman on 2012-11-03Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I had the chance to see Dan at this years' Folk Fest and was reminded why I play his CD's so much: rumbling voice of Thor + solid guitar pickin' + catchy melodies + smart lyrics from someone who has obviously read a few books. None of that was really present the other night when I saw him at the Burt. I was out of the loop on Oh Fortune and it's my fault for not digging into the album to figure out what this tour would look like, but Mangan's band is a wall of sound to the point of drowning out the vocals. A review I read said that "the drummer doesn't have a subtle bone in his body" and I'd level that at half the band. I won't question that they are talented musicians in their own right, I just couldn't hear anything specific from each of their instruments to confirm that. TL;DR I'll listen more to the CD before going back to another Mangan concert. Rural Alberta Advantage = 9/10, would head bob to catch acoustic dance music again.

Dan Mangan put on a great show. Although, the Rural Alberta Advantage engaged the audience with their incredible drumming and solidly sung lyrics.
