Indie-soul singer/songwriter Daniel Caesar uses his exceptionally raw talent to unfold a familiar yet extraordinary coming-of-age narrative. Where boy meets manhood, Caesar's work comes to terms with the things that we so often repress. From a suburb east of Toronto, Canada, Caesar stands as an emblem of what becomes of the gospel-raised youth who mature and must eventually form their own testimony. As he breaks away from his parents faith and the path they lead, he begins to find his own way. With only a few small offerings in 2014, Caesar has been able to build a devoted and rapidly expanding following. His debut effort, Praise Break, successfully captured the attention of many major publications and outlets, was ranked in the “20 Best R&B Albums of 2014” by Rolling Stone Magazine, and number one on the “Top 10 Projects of 2014” by Noisey Canada.

He is PHENOMENAL in concert. Also all staff at the venue were great and kept things well-organized considering the volume of people. Appreciate you all.
Fun amazing show great venue nice people good vibe so much different from when I saw him at wayhome a few years ago both were great but it’s crazy to see how far he’s come crowd was awesome and singing along to almost all the songs
His voice was absolutely beautiful. With having Koffee and Charlotte Day Wilson as performers before him, the experience was even better. The location was great, lots of drinks and food. I made friends as well. I had an amazing time, I can bet everyone else did as well!
Watching him perform and seeing how much he enjoyed doing what he does made me feel happy and thankful that I got to witness it :)
The atmospere at the concert was amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly, I met so many people, and of course, the actual show was the best part (no pun intended). I'd definitely come back to see Daniel Caesar and I'd also definitely come back to Budweiser Stage.
Daniel Caesar was great but the lead up needed some improvement. For example, there were too many long breaks between artists. And I personally know a lot of people that wanted to see Koffee and it was disappointing that she was on so early
Really enjoyed the entire event. Daniel Caesar was fantastic live and knew how to play to the crowds. Everyone was singing along and super into it. Crowd ranged from younger folks to older crowds so he’s got quite the following.
Amazing performances by Daniel, Charlotte, and KOFFEE! Unexpected mix of people but totally worked!
I was really looking forward to this show. I think part of the let down were the seats. I spent $300 and when I arrived they were amazing, but as the night went on it was v windy where we were sitting, it wasn't a windy night, so I'm not sure what was happening on the side I was seated but it should have been indicated somewhere so I could in the very least dress warmly. I had on a pants and jacket and I was still freezing. Daniel Caesar was a gracious, humble host. When he sang the songs I knew they were everything I could have hoped for. He clearly has love for his fans as there was a lot of engagement between himself and the crowd. I could have done with less of the crowd singing and more of DC.
One of the most beautiful shows I’ve attended in terms of music. Stage set up and crowd atmosphere was nice. Seating was easy to find and security/staff very formidable. Wish drinks weren’t so expensive, especially water.
Absolute love Daniel Caesar to begin with, but the concert was amazing. Pure talent and great performer.
Such a memorable experience. His voice took you to another place. Absolutely amazing.
Daniel was without a doubt the best live performance I have ever seen
It was wonderful seeing Daniel Caesar live. His voice is very smooth. You could tell how much he appreciated being able to play in Toronto on the Budweiser stage. He even said it was a dream come true. He does not have a great deal of stage presence yet. For the majority of the songs he just stayed in one spot and sang. The sound is never really good at that venue and it was not great for this show either. The biggest disappointment was that he was the headliner and only performed for about 75 minutes. Perhaps it is because he does not have a big catalogue of songs to choose from. We also did not make it down to see the two opening acts. While I enjoyed seeing and hearing him perform I cant say that it was value for the money.
He was even better live. His stage presence and his voice were truly remarkable. Would absolutely go see him again.
Love Daniel Caesar. He delivered on the vocals!!!! God Damn
Best concert of my life. It was energetic but so peaceful at the same time. Daniel was an amazing performer and it felt so genuine and intimate
The seats in the 2nd balcony at the Burton Cummings Theatre are quite steeply raked, so much so that your view of the stage is pretty minimal and even less-so should people in rows ahead of you decide to stand. Despite the seats which were fine overall, the sound quality for this show was rough. Sure, a big part of it comes down to my inexperience with the Burt and a show like this, but I expected a nice calm show with soothing vocals only to end up with a very bass and drum heavy show with barely distinguishable vocals (which I thought was the whole point of going to see Daniel Caesar). I heard they got the sound better the second night, which is a shame for those who were there the first night. Oh well, it was fine.
Billed as a headliner for The Jazz Fest really.??? If you like audience sing along and the smell of skunk wafting through the venue??? Never heard the performer too much noise in the venue. Worst concert experience ever! Acoustics were terrible.
