Thank You Train you saved the day.

by Doucie on 2018-06-11Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I was very disappointed with the Hall & Oates performance,I could not here the singing over the instruments. They seemed very tired. This was the first time I left in the middle of a concert, very disappointed

    Hall and Oates were awesome

by Anonymous on 2018-06-11Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Hall and Oates were awesome, but why did they bring the lead singer of Train back on for three numbers. Over an hour of Train was enough wanted to listen to Hall and Oates not another 20 minutes of, essentially Train. Hall and Oates have many many great songs......

    Train/Hall&Oates at the ACC

by DrGonzo on 2018-06-11Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Train opened and was superb; despite the audience not really getting into it until the end. Great LedZep tribute (Heartbreaker..) and TP (FreeFallin). Mix was perfect; vocals awesome. So what happened to the sound for Hall&Oates? We've seen them before and they always put on a great show. The sound and mix was HORAwFull! When we could hear the vocals over the sound mash,,,which also broke up into random static...they were great. Daryl not going for it but still sounding awesome. Can't say enough how bad the sound was; I would like comp tickets to their next show in Ontario/Michigan as long as not the ACC! Terrible, really disappointing.

Good night out, value for money

by Kiwidell on 2018-06-09Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Got tickets as part of the $20 sale the value of which got even better when we arrived to find our seats had been upgraded to floor level at the AC Toronto. Train were better than expected as we knew more of their songs than we had thought. Hall and Oats were awesome although I was a little concerned during the first couple of songs as Hall’s voice was really weak - turned out to be a dodgy mike.

Train very good, Hall and Oates not so much

by Wifemademego on 2018-06-09Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The sound mixing for Hall and Oates was terrible. Could barely hear the singer and could not even tell what song they were playing for most of the Hall and Oates set. It got better for the last 3 or 4 songs. But for Train, would have been a total waste of time and money. I did not know who Train was- although my wife told me they have been around for a long time. I was surprised to hear many songs I was familiar with. And the lead singer - Patrick - was fabulous.

"Blue Eyed Soul"! ... "I CAN Go for That"! :)

by Scanty on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The Hall & Oates concert at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto was awesome (June 5, 2018)! The musical journey started with Train. Patrick Monahan and the back up singers emitted such a cool, relaxed vibe! Train definitely picked up a new passenger in me because their musical set was hot! What a tight performance and authentic sound! Train had the audience engaged with their interaction throughout their set. When we reached the destination of Hall & Oates, we were not disappointed! Now, I truly appreciate the reason why they were known as, "Blue Eyed Soul"! Darryl's conversation with the audience between songs was jovial in a sweet and shy way. Darryl played the piano beautifully; John's voice was rich; and the saxophonist & the rest of the band were right on! The escapade back to the mid-80s for me with Hall & Oates was amazing! My rating for Hall & Oates' performance? 4 out of 5! If they had performed my favourite song, "One on One", then it would have been a "High 5!! :)

    Hall and Oates

by Jennrob on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Loved the Train show. Great energy. Hall and Oates was boring except for the last 10 mins when they played their hits. One song went on waaaaay too long. Changed up some songs too much. Last year was much better

    ACC June 5th

by Guppy1234 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Train was amazing!! Third time we have seen them and they really put on a great show. Second time we have seen Daryl Hall and John Oates recently and their show (again) had way too much bass sound that drowned out the vocals and the great musicians. Hit songs were almost unrecognizable. Will not spend money to see them again even though they have lots of music I normally enjoy.

    Past their prime

by Zipppp on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

It’s time for Hall@Oates to call it a day. They remind me of a punch drunk boxer who doesn’t know when to retire. Train was excellent and should have been the headliner. Hall@Oates weren’t even worthy of being an opening act.

Had tons of fun at the concert. Thanks to Ticketmaster for the free upgrade. Our floor seats were terrific.

We liked the concert because of Train. Pat Moynihan and his crew did a great job. Hall and Oates however did not sound good. Daryl Hall was singing low most of the time and the re-arrangement of their songs did not sound good. I have no complaints about my seat but I would try and get something lower next time.

Hall & Oates better than ever!

by Deb18 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

AMAZING! The quality of musicians, the intimate communication with the audience, the versions of the songs!

Train was awesome. Hall & Oates did their hits but the sound was terrible. Train's sound was crisp and clear. Hall & Oats was muffled and the base line was too much. You could barely here the singing. Maybe that was the point!!

    Train = AMAZING, H & O = bleh!

by LoveItLive2 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

We LOVED Train! Saw them at Budweiser Stage last summer and we swore we'd see them every chance we could. Great songs, fabulous interaction with audience, and full of energy. As luck would have it, they were touring with Hall and Oates. I jumped at the chance to get tickets for my hubby who's been a fan since he was a teen and has always wanted to see H & O. Getting to see Train as well was like winning the lottery twice... or so we thought. When H & O, came out on stage, the audience jumped up and that should have shown that the crowd was with them, ready to sing along and dance to their hits. As the show went on, people around us (section 101) were shouting out, "end it", "how do you wreck a great 4 minute song? make it 12 minutes", etc... When you announce that you had a poorly reviewed and received album that was "experimental" but you're going to play songs from it "because, well, we can!" Give your head a shake, guys. This was when I went for a bathroom break and walked around the ACC for a bit. I NEVER do that at a concert. It was a true let down for my darling husband and for that I regret staying after Train left the stage. BOTTOM LINE: Train: See them, you won't regret it. FANTASTIC! Hall & Oates: Save your money and pull out the vinyl, cassettes, cds, or cue up Spotify. You won't be disappointed this way.
