    POOR SICK DAVID!

by lovethedepp on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Despite the fact that he was so obviously very ill, we had a blast! It was a spontaneous in the moment show -- it was unfortunate that he was sick, but such is life -- it happens! My 2 best friends from high school and i went and it took us back to the 70's -- we had a great time and i would see him again in a second - - he was so funny, and so obviously regretful about his condition which certainly was not his fault, and even for him to continue on and do the show was amazing -- he was lovely to the audience, fun, and genuinely cares about his fans - i thought he was WONDERFUL! And here's to a speedy recovery Mr. Cassidy! I did miss the shag and the puka shells though!

    Brought back some good memories.

by starpro on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Like Red said "he's a true trooper" for showing up when he's got the flu. Night was very good. Thought David could have sang alot more of his his hits and did less talking about his health. Concert was just under 90 minutes. Would liked more of his original versions that the remake versions (eg. Cherish).

    Top of the line entertainer

by taebo on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Poor David Cassidy, I think he has the swine flu.. The day before the concert he was in the hospital hooked up to an IV, he mentioned several times he thought he was going to pass out... poor poor man, he looked awful and could barely stand And yet he put on a fantastic show! he said he couldnt let his fans down and not come, even though he really should have cancelled He was wonderful to see, his voice is still incredible and if i get the chance to see him again, i would go in a heartbeat.. i can just imagine how great he is when he is well. He is smart, funny and so talented Way to go David!

Loved David Cassidy. He had the flu and still managed a great performance. Loved the venue, very up close and personal. Would love to see him when he's giving 100%!

    Cassidy was ill

by twinkleeyes on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Both my sister and I were in love with David (Partridge Family) when we were young. I booked the night months ago and bought my sisters ticket as a gift. Our seats were excellent. We were excited for this night. We arrived 15 min early (starts 8pm) yet the show started 15 min late (seems to be common occurance). It was then announced, David was very ill but would still perform. That did not set a good mood. It was jestured before and after every song that he was sick. David still has an awesome voice which he proved with each song. He sang the final song we were all waiting for, "I Think I Love You" which brought the energy up and the ladies to their feet. Suddenly it was finished and David left the stage with no encore. Honestly, we would have preferred a refund or changed the show to a new date rather than experience David feeling his worse. As a an extertainer and theatre person, I also expected a more polished and showy look; his shirt and jeans looked as though rolled out of bed and the continuous "I'm sick, bla" type comments were too much. I know David tried to perform his best, but honestly, the night was a waste of money, time and energy for us.

Really wanted a trip down memory lane!

by LuluG on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Even though David Cassidy was a trooper for doing the show when he was obviously very sick, I was very disappointed with my night out. I was really looking forward to a trip down memory lane, after being a huge fan in my late teens. I only recognized a couple of songs that he performed and he even changed the arrangement to a real favourite, "Cherish".

    David Cassidy was embarrassing!

by plummy on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Oh my god! I dragged my friends to see David Cassidy for my birthday, I thought it would be so fun and entertaining! He performed sick as a dog, or drunk, we couldn't figure out which. All he did was whine the whole night about how sick he was, made comments like "this is going to be a long night", constantly apologizing for his horrible performance. Red Robinson came out before he introduced dc to let us know that he was performing sick, my friend commented that if we have to be warned before hand not to expect much, it's a really bad sign. I really wish he would have cancelled....

    Allright

by AH1974 on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Was allright! Would've like more originals like Come On Get Happy from Partridge family, and less covers like Crossroads and Back in USSR (Were good, but mo originals would've been great!). Would still recommend it, and would've liked an encore.

    What an amazing show

I can't praise this artist highly enough. David Cassidy is a very special soul. A light shines from within, he needs no spotlight.

    Cassidy is a trooper

by rozie357 on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I was really impressed with the performance from David Cassidy, especially under the circumstances, of having suffered such a bad flue. He could have cancelled the show, but instead gave us his dedication as an entertainer. He is truly a professional, and gave a great performance. I liked the fact that he interacted with the audience, and seems to be a humble and humous person. His voice is amazing, even better than in his younger days, if that is possible. The band that preformed with him were amazing and extremely talented.

by Minouche on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Considering David had the flu, I was very pleased with the concert, his performance and the audience was very respectful. I would like to have him visit again, so please encourage him to come back.

I know he was sick, but maybe he should have canceled. It wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. I had hoped that he would have song more of his older songs. I have been to the Red Robinson Theatre several times and I have never seen the people act the way they did. Several people kept getting up and getting more to drink. Several women went down on the stage while he was singing and left him flowers or wanted him to sign things. But this was going on during his songs. I have never seen this done until after they have finished singing. And people kept taking pictures which I had thought you were not supposed to do.I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

    David Cassidy

It was too bad he was sick but he mentioned it too often. Enough already. The sound equipment was very poor and badly put together.
