    Casino Rama

by Boggle on 2011-03-06Casino Rama - Orillia

Despite David still having a great voice with full range, I found the concert to be a "downer". Too much chastising his fans. Too much nonsensical comments inbetween songs. It seemed like David was trying to convince himself that he was having a good time.

    David Cassidy.Focused?

by theartofnh on 2011-03-05Casino Rama - Orillia

at Casino Rama, Fri. March 4, 2011. David did NOT allow his (mainly female) fans (who were near the stage) to INTERUPT, and made it very clear that he could NOT FOCUS when his fans yelled out. He actually asked security to remove one fan (although, security did not follow on this). David also said that he could NOT SIGN AUTOGRAPHS and SING, at the SAME TIME! He certainly looks good (his forehead did not move and had no wrinkles) not that there is anything wrong with that! All and all, I must admit, I was somewhat disappointed in his performance, and was mentioned in another review, he was getting over a COLD (coughing on stage)!

David Cassidy - a true professional

by Jacy on 2009-10-17Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I went to see David Cassidy on Oct. 9/09 and he was absolutely amazing. We were told at the start of the show that David had a bad flu bug but as he did not want to disappoint his fans, he decided to appear anyways. He came on, he sang and despite his obvious flu symptoms, his performance was fantastic! Here is a true professional, not wanting to disappoint fans and giving his all despite the sweating and feverish symptoms. His voice is stronger than ever, his enthusiasm was great and I think I can speak for all who attended, he made sure we all had a great time! YOU made our hearts beat David!

    David Cassidy

I was very disappointed that he would do a concert while being so sick. He was sweating like a pig and at times you thought he was going to collapse. I spent more time watching and hoping David wouldn't collapse than I did listening to him. I do give him points for trying but next time David stay home!

    David Under Duress

by MrMaggoo on 2009-10-13Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

The poor guy. I've seen him 3 times in the last 4 years (yes...my wife dragged me to every one of the shows), and this latest performance was almost on par with the previous 2 shows. However, he was clearly not in fine physical form and almost didn't make the show because he was suffering from the flu for 3 days. We were alerted to his condition before the show started and we were asked for some sympathy. David had flown up from L.A. that same day and arrived at the theatre an hour before show time. With no time to warm up, and 10 minutes late, he hit the stage. His vocals were shakey as he worked his way through the first song (I honestly can't remember what it was). The whole theatre was silent (about 1200 people) as he struggled to regain composure at the drum riser, with his musical director/bass player, standing next to him with concern. In the silence, someone yelled out "We love you David". He gratiously acknowleged the kind words and carried on with the show. He did a really good job on most of the songs and pulled off some strong singing that I didn't thing was possible. I give him full credit for pulling off a successful show and giving, as he said "everything I have, I'm going to give to you.... and it may not be much"

A great show by David Cassidy

by elks on 2009-10-13Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I didn't know what to expect as I'd never seen David perform since The Partridge Family. Even though he had the flu, David was a real trooper and gave a great performance. I was especially impressed with how he related to the audience with stories and I was even more amazed by his voice. I think it could have been a little better if he wasn't sick and an encore would have been nice. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show and the music and would see him again. The venue is great too.

David Cassidy was very sick .....

by Isob on 2009-10-13Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I just want to say, that it is very nice for an artist to try and make a performance when he is not well. However ... it is not fair for the audience to have to listen to how sick he really is, and that he may have to vomit while he is performing. I say reshedule or refund our money. I was very disappointed in the concert.

    David Cassidy concert

by Leatha on 2009-10-12Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Seeing David Cassidy in concert was an event I thought I would never experience. I have been a big fan since the Partridge Family, but David is far beyond that as a performer now. His voice was excellent with good range (despite the fact he was very sick with the flu), he was a much better guitar player than I had imagined, and he was more of a "rocker" than I had a imagined too. He didn't talk as much to the audience as he usually did apparently, due to him being ill, but he did have good anecdotes, and a wicked sense of humour. Very tight band, and he was complimentary to them and gave them all an opportunity to shine. The venue has excellent seating (we were in row F, right centre and the views were great). The sound quality is also excellent. I would go back.

    Your amazing David Cassidy!

by Termite on 2009-10-12Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

David Cassidy is an amazing performer. He showed such great respect for his fans. He said that he realizes people sometimes travel long distances to see concerts ( there were some who had come from England) and he feel responsible to show up and perform. The day before he had literally been at home with and IV in his hand and his head over the toilet. This concert was very special as he came and performed even though he was very sick. He said at the beginning he would give us all he had - and he did. Through profuse sweating. (without much movement around the stage). and almost going into unconciousness during one song he still put on a great show. I love how he tells the audience about each song and why and if it has special meaning to him. I would definately go see him at any opportunity. When he was at the PNE I took my girls - young adults and they enjoyed him thoroughly.

    David Cassidy Rocks!

by Beanit on 2009-10-11Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I can't believe he did the show as sick as he was. Being as famous as he is, he still is a person and showed it over and over again and being as sick with the flu he was, still managed to pull it off. If I were him, I would have called the show off, he also seemed concerned not to infect the audience and you could see he wanted to give more but couldnt. I just wish I had brought my camera

    Cassidy should have stayed home

by Ronnie1 on 2009-10-11Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

We were told before the show even started by Red Robinson not to expect the best as David had been very sick with a stomach bug and only arrived in Vancouver a few hours before, that became very obvious as he forgot words to songs, was out of tune on his guitar and staggered about the stage rambling about nothing in particular, we also heard numerous times about him passing his time over the toilet bowl vomiting and lost count of the times he told us how he loved us only good comment I could make was his band was very good and tried their best to cover for him. My feelings is he should have cancelled it was a disgrace to pay money for this pathetic display..

    Keith Partridge wowed us

by Kasey8Ell on 2009-10-11Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Fantastic performance for a full two hours - even though he was a bit late starting -- it was worth it. What a thrill to see my teenage idol perform live and we had front row seats! It was great to see him up that close. Many of the mannerisms are still there - just as if I was transformed back into time and watching the Partridge Family TV show back in the '70s. He hasn't aged a bit. What a trouper also in making the concert and performing when still recovering from a bad cold/flu. Thanks David!

David Cassidy Is the Exception to the Rule

by hockeymom50 on 2009-10-11Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

As we were told before the show began, David Cassidy was a victim of the 36 hour flu. He had been so ill, that his pre-show interview had been cancelled and he had arrived to the theatre just an hour or so prior to the show. As the show unfolded, it was MORE than evident, not just from his own words, but more by observation, that he was in agony! He joked, sweat, played guitar, talked, sang, played drums, apologized true-heartedly to his adoring audience throughout the show, sang, nearly passed out while sitting on the stool, etc. He was clearly more sick than his fans and especially his band ever thought. His true love and passion oozed to his fans. He was so medicated that I don't think he even remembered half of what transpired during his performance. I cannot reinforce enough how brave and unselfish he was. I was truly impressed!

    What a trooper!

by candg on 2009-10-11Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Had a great evening - probably a better one than David did, poor boy... despite the flu he gave us his all! I'm amazed he didn't pass out although he's quite funny on heavy meds... ready to pass out one minute then laughing out loud the next. He's always a great performer (he was great in Blood Brothers in Toronto years ago) and it was good to see him again...

by fsfan on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Despite being ill with the flu, David Cassidy put on an amazing show. I can only imagine how good it would have been had he been 100%. He's a truly dedicated performer who hasn't lost any of his talent. A wonderful personality. I will definitely see him when he plays here again.

    He should have cancelled.

by baygirl47 on 2009-10-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

David Cassidy was sick with the flu last night and it was obvious he was not up to performing a show. Im sorry he was not well but he should have cancelled instead of sweating all over the stage and apologizing 20 times and just making it through his songs. I saw a small amount of what he was capable of when he managed to really sing a for a couple of seconds but mostly it was soooo disapointing after waiting so long to see him I would have prefered to wait a bit longer instead of wondering if he was going to pass out at any moment!
