    CONTACT 2012 was amazing!!!

    by Trix1417 on 2012-12-29BC Place - Vancouver

For the first large scale EDM event to hit Vancouver I feel that it was a huge success!! The line up of djs was fantastic and each completely blew the crowd away. My personal favourite was Nero. He did every single track I wanted to hear and more! The only problem I saw with the event was the inconsistencies with security at BC Place. I was told I was not allowed on the floor with my purse as it was considered "too big" after it had already been searched by other security. Ridiculous saying that to a female who carries everything in there. Then force me to pay an additional $5.00 to check it and make me carry my belongings in my hand as my out-fit had no pockets?!?! Add to the fact that my purse was worth more than what those coat check people make in a night's work. Spent the night worried that my purse wouldn't be there as their sign says "Not responsible for lost or damaged items in Coat Check" Are you kidding me?!?! Poor job BC Place security!!!! So unimpressed by your ridiculous policies that the odds of me attending an event there in the future are slim to none. Get your act together!

    great spins but disappointing crowd

by Anonymous on 2012-12-27BC Place - Vancouver

i have the 2 stars solely to the artists for making the great music. Half of the crowd were responsible and mature. The other half were just bunch of annoying drunken underage kids. Unfortunately, this half ruined the night. Don't even mention a ticket cost 120$, not worth it. It took me half an hour to get in, and another half to check in clothes. I'd say I will never attend this type of concert unless they put an age limit. It just didn't make sense to expect people from all ages to attend the same event. It just did not work. Not recommend it to anyone who's mature and responsible and expects a good crowd.

the openning dj sets were pretty good. deadmau5 played for such a short time, and was rather disappointing, compared to past shows he has put on. it was a good party, but could have been much better. too bad.

I've bin to deadmau5 raves in the past and they were great! This one sucked! He is riding on his mainstream attention now and did not feel the vibe of the crowd! Very disappointing. Only gave a 2 star review because hardwell was pretty good

    deadmau5 was AMAZING!

by Tripedge on 2011-11-10Rogers Centre - Toronto

deadmau5 and all the openers were amazing, with each pump of the bass I could feel my knees vibrating. This is what happens when you are four rows from the front stage. EPIC, is the one word that describes it, so far the best night in my entire life.

very amazing show the only down side was i had to leave early from the show to catch a train out of toronto. next time i recommend the show have less openings acts and have him come on at an earlier time for those that had the same problem because me and my friend were really annoyed for paying and only seeing less than an hour of him. but overall the atmosphere was amazing.

    Deadmau5 was amazing!

by Giodaddy on 2011-11-09Rogers Centre - Toronto

Deadmau5 put on a better show than I had ever imagined it would be! And I will definetely be going to see deadmau5 again! Only thing I have bad to say about the whole event was the bar service.. The lineup was just rediculous. And for those who wanted to have a few drinks and have a good time it was simply impossible. There's no reason why there shouldn't be more bars open. They would make a killing.

DEADMAU5 IS AMAZING the audio and speaker system was astounding the atmosphere was fantastic sooooo many people and little deadmau5 everywhere i cant WAIT for next year..... however the ROGERS CENTRE has some work to do.. i was not aloud to bring my backpack in when i stay at my boyfrends on weekends and i am unable to go home it takes me hours.. soo i walked in with it anyway and there was no coat check IN NOVEMBER you are kidding me... i dont care what club or venue you attend in the winter and colder months IT SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A COAT CHECK... i am waiting for when they get sued for someone getting hypothermia.... ORRR section off an area with gates where like 2 security will stand and throw your shit in there.. risky yes but as is any coat check. Dosnt have to be organized BUUTTT anyway that has nothing to do with DEADMAU5 he KILLLEEDDDDD it and looks like i will freeze next year to see it again xoxoxoxox love you DEADMAU5

    Unreal!

by cmrnd on 2011-11-08Rogers Centre - Toronto

Great show, the opening acts were way too long, deadmau5 wasn't on until 12AM! The open acts were excellent besides Crystal Castles, I enjoyed MSTRKRFT's set! I also missed some of deadmau5 when I went to get a drink (was on the floor jumping for 6 hours before he was on), other than that was an excellent show! Next time i will skip the first few opening acts!!! It would also be nice to see more of deadmau5, 2 hours was not long enough (3 would of been perfect!). Overall amazing venue and experience, I hope to be back soon! Come back in 2012 deadmau5!!!!!!!!!

after having seen Avicii, Tiesto, and Skrillex in the past few months Deadmau5 had big shoes to fill, and he just blew them out of the water! The cube and whole stage for that matter was absolutely amazing

    Deadmau5 was Unforgettable

by Snackums on 2011-11-08Rogers Center - Toronto

Deadmau5 was absolutely amazing, I pretty much enjoyed every act. I had never heard of 7Wallace before but I also really enjoyed his stuff...uhm Sydney Blu was alright, a bit too much talking kind of just cut the vibe for me, but when Deadmau5 came on stage I was beyond stoked, his lighting set up and background displays were awesome, and it was very cool when Sofia came out for Sofi needs a ladder. I loved the show and LOVE DEADMAU5!

Absolutely amazing. There was so much hype for this show and he didn't let us down. The venue was awesome but the stands were too far from the stage :(

    This was sick!!!

by ALTSP on 2011-11-08Rogers Centre - Toronto

The only thing that sucked about this night was that Deadmau5 came on at 12am and the last bus back to Oshawa was at 1:20am so we missed like half of his set. I would say to everyone who wants to go see him that make sure you drive cause you won't be out until at least 3am and public transit is not reliable. Everything else about this concert was amazing!!! I would go see him again and again!!!

    Best bang for your buck

by reesecup on 2011-11-08Rogers Centre - Toronto

Incredible effects in terms of video art! Was there until 2am with him and he never lost his enthusiasm... played great mixes and had a fabulous encore. Only downfall... openers were way too long (each got an hour, deadmau5 didnt come on until midnight). And as for MSTRKRFT, a little disappointing in terms of set list... only played 2-3 from their albums and did some average freestyle mixes for the rest. Crystal Castles was awful in my opinion, just noise and had no strong relationship to the rest of the music genre of the night. See deadmau5 if you want a good bang for your buck (a concert totally to 7 hours of playing time with him and openers, each with their own special effects and a full hour of playing time!), not sure how he is in small venues... but in stadiums, dont be fooled like I was that you will barely see one little guy on a turn table in an enormous room - incredible visual effects accompanying him! Worth the money - a genuine artist who wont let his fans down.

    deadmau5 rocked the hau5!

    by latinachika71 on 2011-11-08Rogers Centre - Toronto

This event was the most amazing time I have ever had at any concert. The music is incredible, the energy in the stadium is crazy, the light show is awesome and trust me you'll want to do it all over again the next day even though you'll be tired. I want to do this again it was so much fun. Definitely going again when he comes back!
