Really enjoyed Dermot’s show. He has an amazing voice and a great set!
Fantastic voice and passion. Thank you for a music, Dermot!
Dermot and the two openers put on a wonderful show! I felt all his emotion in every song! I've been a fan of his for years and was excited he was finally coming to Ottawa! Unfortunately, crowds in Ottawa sometimes have little respect for performers, and instead, use it as an excuse to pre-game before going out for the night. Which was the case during Dermot. I couldn't hear some of his talking, or even the songs, because of all the chatter in the GA behind me! But loved the show, would love to see him here again!
Great concert and easy to navigate tickets through Ticketmaster
Amazing, would definitely go again. All the performances sounded just like the recordings.
The best songwriter and one of the best live voices currently out there. Immersive!
Initially I purchased what I thought was a meet and greet ticket, only to find out, I had purchased the wrong one. The difference between ultimate vip and premium vip should maybe be worded differently for purchasing sake. Upon arrival, parking was 40$, I have bad feet and back w an autoimmune issue, so I had no choice but to park close, the entry doors were locked, I ended up going through valet, confused and then was directed to the gates. Security was lovely and swift. The holding area for pre merch shopping could have had chairs to sit, only last minute, I overheard a girl from the table say to someone else "you can sign a book for Dermot"which was off to the side, so I believe that was a missed opportunity for many but a cool idea. The free merch itself, not thrilling, a magnet and buttons - a lyric poster signed by Dermot tho was worth my time. The actual merch table, awkward silence, nobody spoke just staring at us, like not even a hello. Bins of clothes around and just kind of a confusing pricing set up.. I was unsure where to look for information. Between the tables screens and merch, and like.. honestly I couldn't see what the hell I was even buying.. just weird. Hang a couple shirts up so we can look at them. There was miscommunication between the next step, some staff asking to see a ticket again, others yelling no only the bracelet. Then down the stadium, again asked to show a ticket to get to the floor- people panicked trying to get their tickets out again, cause congestion, this left people unsure if they can leave again to go to the bathroom or get a drink if they weren't the ticket holder. At the rail, I know that I'll be there all night, can't leave, no going to bathroom or for a drink is going to alot me the chance to get back to the front. I'm fine w this, but someone selling drinks walking by the front rail would be a nice idea. A front in/out for vip for a bathroom or a seated area maybe.. The duration of time standing and waiting... This is where fights break out, even waiting for a peaceful and deep performance by Dermot, 5 girls started yelling at one girl other near by. Security was swift when I pointed this out and I told the people around me, this isn't the experience I paid for, nor that is expected. He let me know I could ask water from security as well. Only once I asked for water from another security guard was it handed out randomly to people at the front. The lul between performances is long, this is always where there's an issue with the crowd. You need someone to fill that time, a side performance, an mc... Prizes... Anything.. the music playing wasnt anything the people could sing too, north African rap, I love it, but maybe thousands would sing to something. Leaving the stadium... Nightmare. Bathrooms ridiculously long waits, no guidance except for "get out of the arena", I had to walk in so much pain, around to find a bathroom without a massive wait, no security to be seen, no guidance, unsure where my main parking lot was - I asked for help from door security by merch, one guy was telling me to take a tunnel to get back to lot 1, there was a language barrier, and I tried to understand what he meant and where the tunnel was, but he asked his coworker to help me. I was told where the lot was, luckily close cause I'm in agony by this point, my choice. When I got out, and down to lot 1. I was followed to my car in special lot #1 that was oh so expensive... and begged by 2 guys from Nova Scotia who were hammered to drive them to their air b&b.. of course, nobody, staff or security in the lot or station to prevent this. Buying a vip ticket to sign Dermots book was worth it. Realizing I could have probably had a drink and pee and still make it to the front rail showing up early... Mmmm probably just do that next time. I think it's extremely unfair you charge so much for parking. The girl at the gate told me even parking for disability is still 40$. So yeah, me personally I got what I came for because I'm a very positive, solo event attendee.. I've never bought vip before, but I won't likely spend money on it again. You could have handed me a bottle of water, can of coke, offered a snack and a chair in the vip holding/waiting.. played music even instead of awkward silence... I basically spent more money to be very early aside from the book signing. I truely wish they would have kept the book on the entry table for vip to all sign. It's literally the closest communication we can have with someone who inspires us, probably a missed opportunity for many who weren't told, the Ottawa section looks sad, lol No complaints about the artists at all. Amazing talent from open to close.
Un show parfait selon moi. Qualité du son impeccable, une performance en toute humilité. J’adore cet artiste.
INSANE PERFORMANCE!!!!!! Dermot left his heart on the stage and I was left starstruck for days. I’d go back a million times if I could. As per the venue, I feel like his mic should’ve been louder! I was on the floor and when I rewatched my videos, I heard more of the people around me than Dermot singing, which doesn’t normally happen.
One of the greatest show have everyday seen. Amazing voice
10/10 experience & talent. I am disappointed it took so long to sell the tickets that we did with many holes in the crowd. That said, those who were there made it loud & it was amazing.
Absolutely amazing. Seats were good and the show was incredible. Best concert I've ever been to. Demot kennedy was everything and more than I expected.
We really enjoyed our experience. Dermot was AMAZING as usual. We did the VIP and early access. My only recommendation for improvement would be having a space sectioned off for those of us that paid more money to be there. Going to the bathroom and trying to get back to our spot on the floor was an absolute nightmare and people think you are just trying to get close to the stage. There are also always ppl that worm their way up into the space/area where you’ve been for literal hours. To make the perks of VIP and early access truly worth it, something like that should be considered.
I bought these tickets as a gift for my boyfriend because he's a big Dermot Kennedy fan and we had the best time! We were blown away by both opening acts (Martin Kerr/Valley), the vibe of the whole evening was very intimate despite being an arena show, the sound and lights were great - just enough that they added to the experience but didn't overwhelm. Dermot Kennedy was unbelievable, he sounds just like his recorded songs if not better, he's so genuine and his songs are so beautiful I think everyone in the crowd was crying together at certain points. I wasn't a huge fan but I've certainly been converted!
Voice even better in live!! Is was amazing! He is going to be a big star!
Unreal show by DK and the band. Thank you for coming to Ottawa - not many artists do, so this was really special!
The band was tight and mighty! (Somewhat too loud on chorus). Band mates were at side and totally darkened out from Dermot. To me, it seemed that Dermot thinks a lot of himself. Although when addressing audience he seemed ever so kind and together. Harmonies meshed well. Overall it was good, but a few songs sounded the same and had intentional moodiness. If getting over breakup, I would have passed.
I thought that Dermot Kennedy was brilliant, however the vibe at the concert was very low. So many empty seats and I could not see a thing. I think having the big screen on would have made the concert more enjoyable or even upgrading everyone better seats to fill all of the empty lower level spots and make the arena look more full.
Dermot Kennedy/ Martin Kerr …. Top Notch performances! Incredible vocals, lyrics, vibe…. LOVED IT!!
Amazing show, really enjoyed it. Dermot was fantastic live! Loved his performance and his voice. The support acts were good, the show started on time, and the sound and lights were great.
