Diana was very classy!
by woshi on 2009-07-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I took my mom to see Diana Krall, as a Mother's Day gift. My Mom loves jazz, and we enjoyed it imensley. Diana seemed so down to earth, and very humble of her great talent, performing, singing and jazzing seems to be second nature for her. I really enjoyed the performance, I felt as if we, as an audience, got to know her. She was very personable. She shared stories that had ment so much to her, such as the relationship and friendship with Oscar Peterson. She told the audience how she first met him and the songs that means so much to her. Her life, as a young girl in Nanimo, BC. How she started singing and performing, and who her idols were. I was very surprised to see Diana as a regular person, no chip on her shoulder. She is also quite hilarious...she mentioned some very funny stories of her life on the Island, her husband and her twins. I was very impressed how patriotic she was, and her love of being a Canadian..... We were so proud of that. It's nice to see some one who made it as an International Superstar being so humble and down to earth. Can't wait for the next concert....I'll be there for sure.....
