Dirty Dancing (Touring) Tickets

I grew up with Dirty Dancing and am a huge fan! I went to the show with high expectations and was a little disappointed. ONLY because the acting was not very good and true to the characters. I felt like the actors hadn't actually seen the movie because they were not passionate enough when they spoke especially during the important scenes. The dancing was incredible though and spot on from the movie! The casting was done very well for the main characters of Johnny, Baby and Penny. They added a few extra scenes which was a little strange too but nonetheless the overall flow of the show was spot on! I still would see it again and recommend going!

Absolutely loved the show, they really did a great job with the sets, the music and the wardrobe above everything else that was so great including the dancing and the singing then catching the story we all know and love

We have been to may events, ballet, dance, musical and this was one of the most amazing we have seen. The story line never left out one major point. The dancing was super, and the actors and actresses did an amazing job. Would say that it is something everyone should see. We had the time of our lives

This was a show to remember. The choreography and story line was well rehearsed and executed to perfection.

Outstanding show, theatrics and dance was right on point. My wife and I loved every minute of it.

I was really looking forward to this play as I loved the movie. However, they tried to get every memorable scene from the movie into the play,and it ended up being just a bunch of scenes, with no character development. If you hadn't seen the movie, you would probably not even know what was happening. There were some fun bits such as the projection sets on the log and in the grass. The water scene was comical but not sure they originally meant it to be, but the actors played into the audience laughing as with the next car scene. The hula dance was probably the highlight of the show. The dancing was fun, the music was good, but there was very little plot. The second half did improve as they spent more time on each scene. Not the worst play I've seen, just average.

Ok, I admit it, I have never seen the film with Patrick Swayze. Nonetheless, The stage performance was fabulous. The music and dance numbers were just perfect, and judging by the response of the rest of the audience, very true to the original film. The actors and actresses were superb, and I absolutely loved it. Well worth the rather expensive ticket!

We went to this show on Dec 29. It was a great start of celebration of New Year. I like the movie and this show just reminded me how great it was. Great performance, great music and dancers. The story is pretty simple, but charming, and that is what you need 2 days before New Year. This show was sold out, great event. My second favourite of Broadway shows after "Mamma mia".

Found the dancers were stiff when dancing and acting unvbelievable. Enjoyed most the music and liked the moments of humor.

Outstanding experience. I would love to go again. I felt like I was a tween girl watching it in my pj's.

My family got such enjoyment. It was the best live play we have seen. Right up there with Lion King. The singing and dancing were great

Went to Dirty Dancing in Calgary last night and it was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend it!
