Disney on Ice Princesses and Heroes

by HarleyRider on 2013-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

Took my granddaughters to see this, dissappointed in the abiity of skaters to stay on their feet. In the first 3 minutes Tinkerbelle feel over on the ice and two more feel during the show. If Disney are to charge full icket price for 2 and 5 year old kids they must srely get a better level of skater.

    The "B" Team

by KellySCS on 2013-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

I felt like we were watching the "B" Team skate - Tinkerbell, the Frog Princess, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and Cinderella all took big falls on the ice. As well the Genie from Aladdin almost did a header off the 'stage' in the corner. It was amusing to me but my daughter was very concerned. Also, we have read many Disney books but not seen all the movies, so my 3 year old daughter did not have any idea what was going on during some parts. She just really wanted to see Ariel and Cinderella and I thought it would be more about "princesses and heroes' instead of being excerpts from the movies. We could have stayed home to and watched the movies to see that. Also the fire breathing dragon scared her and she wanted to leave. When we did leave, all the exits were decked out in Disney dolls and merchandise - you could not leave without passing the booths. Needless to say, a melt down for a $26 Ariel doll ensued. After paying for the tickets ($100), parking ($15), cotton candy ($12) - which they paraded up and down the isle right beside us over and over again! - and $26 Ariel doll it ended up being a very expensive afternoon out for a sub par show. Very disappointing.

    Mediocre Disney show.

by Anonymous on 2013-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

I recently brought my two nephews from the US to the Disney on Ice performance. Both enjoyed the actual show. Good execution, colourful, and the seating arrangement was very good considering we were sitting in an all purpose sports stadium. The concession stands made this an AVERAGE show. My nephew wanted a pretzel - who would think that of three concession stands available, all would run out of pretzels. Isn't this a sports stadium? Coffee was only available at select stands. Same with popcorn. Of course, I could care less about the concession stands - except that my 7 year old nephew, rightfully so, couldn't quite accept my rational explanation for logistical incompetence displayed at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The beauty of Disneyland (Disneyworld) is excellent customer service. Someone should mention that to the folks at the Rogers Centre.

    Disney On Ice

by Sparkybutr on 2013-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

Show was exceptional, however, the performace was rather short in length.. I expected the show to be at least 2 hours in long (excluding intermsision). Didn't get value for money paid, taking into consideration the terrible seats.

    Princesses on ice was magical

    by Vanessa22 on 2013-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

Second princesses on ice I have attended with my 5yr old daughter. It was magical, Disney knows how to make everything perfect for little ones. I will continue to go to these shows for as long as my daughter loves princesses.

There have been better Disney on Ice productions.

by BriBriLongTimeFan on 2013-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

I have been to many Disney On Ice productions over the years and found them quiet enjoyable. This was my first where the show did not focus on a single story - I was not impressed. I brought my young daughter for the first time, and while she enjoyed seeing all the familiar characters, she could not follow the story... probably because there wasn't one. Aside: The Disney merchandising was so overpriced, especially in comparison to other children productions selling similar items. A plastic cup (filled with ice or not) was $12, the lighted toys were $22. All I'm saying is make sure you budget for the extras once you get the not at all cheap show tickets. Will we go again? Yes, but only to a more structured one-story show.

It's was okay however my boys age 6 and 10 were not overly thrilled to be there if it wasn't for the fireworks and fiery dragon they would have died from boredom. This was best suited to my 4 year old daughter who loved it.

Good show - Kids loved it!

by kgoodridge on 2013-12-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

i have 2 girls ages 3 and 6 and both loved the show. Had all of the princesses in the show. My only complaint - though probably Rogers Centre and not the shows fault - was that the food there is ridiculously priced and if you were to buy something it would be an arm and a leg. $12 for a bag of popcorn???

    Could be better

    by disney123 on 2013-12-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

I did not realized this when I was not at the front. But this time, I bought SVIP seat on first row. Some princesses were not singing. If someone pays more than $100 for a ticket, I will expect the performer to be more professional. Little disappointed
