The North American tour is an equally grand theatrical achievement, having welcomed over 20 million theatergoers in more than 80 cities. The six-time Tony Award-winning production features direction by Julie Taymor, music and lyrics by Elton John and Tim Rice, and choreography by Garth Fagan. For over two decades, the touring production’s visual tapestry has enchanted audiences across North America and continues to be a “must-see” live event, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

I took my whole family and it was worth it - a must see for the kids.
This show was so amazing. I brought my 10 & 8 year old and they could not believe how much like Broadway this was. The singing was superb, the sets were outstanding and the costumes were the most inventive I have ever seen. They have done a wonderful job bringing "Broadway" to Canada. Do not miss this show! It is memorable.
Absolutely fabulous, the animation was incredible. Everything was extremely well done.
The Lion King was an amazing show..SPECTACULAR. The choreography , costumes were amazing. The cast was great ! Loved it !! I will defenitely go and see it again!!
Our searting was way up ( just 2nd last row 33), but sounds and visual presentation was enough to feel it. If someone interested in face make up, definitely bringing binocular.
The actors that played the characters of Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki and Zazu were fabulous, couldn't wait to see them come on the stage.
Awesome costumes, props, singing, and lighting. Spectacular Show!
An unforgettable experience! My 5 year old sat through the entire show without asking, "Where's the popcorn?"
The most amazing show I've ever seen. The costumes and sets were beautiful and the cast is so incredibly talented. You have to experience it to understand how wonderful it is. I can't wait to see it again.
For anyone who is NOT very much into theatre this the perfect show to see what the magic of Musical Theatre is all about. However, to people that are already into Musical Theatre it is disappointing to see a partial production. I watched this show in NY and was able to point out the scenes that were skipped, the scenography that was missing, etc. I guess is just a disadvantage of Musical Theatre on Tour.
Last night I saw the show with my husband and two friends. From the moment the show started I had a smile on my face. The drums, costumes, voices and sets were amazing. There were many children there and I want to go again with my grandchildren. Hope there are still good seats. Loved it. I'm a true fan of the Lion King.
I have been to see the Lion King several times all over the world. Everytime I go I enjoy the entire evening. Vancouver was no exception!!! The whole performance from the music, the actors/actresses, to the costumes, the singing and the props was magnificent. I'm sure I will be back to see it again in another city.
They did a GREAT job. From the songs, to the set up to the casting. They did an amazing job casting as most of the voices were almost identical to the voices in the movie. The kids that played the cubs had some real talent, especially the girl who played young Nala. It was everything I could ask for and more!
I am always enthralled by stage and costume production and Lion King went beyond my excpectations! The performers were energetic. The animal representation was exceptionally entertaining. I especially like it when the performers enter from the audience level. It feels more interactive somehow. I congratulate the costumer designer...very outside of the box!!! I am only sorry that the production is only here for a short time. My guest was disappointed when the performance ended! Excellent...excellent...not to be missed! Only negative...try to get tickets in the centre....from the right and left you're not seeing all aspects.
costumes, music, stage, props, lighting and talent are unbelievable. Best show I've seen.
From opening curtain to finale, Lion King is magical with colourful costumes and imaginative puppets accompanied by singing and dancing talent. What can I say? Go and see. I'm going back for a second time!
We thoroughly enjoyed the production of Lion King. The costumes were amazing and the whole performance was very professional. We enjoyed the fact that the actors came into the audience quite a few times, tha brought the action right to the audience. Well worth the money!
We were thrilled from the opening until the end. The Lion King is a great show because not only is it a musical spectacle and feast for the eyes, there's a great moral story attached.
