    Rickles insults everybody again

by benjie on 2011-09-19Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Don was in fine shape comically, however, his age was showing in his slow movements. Nevertheless, his foot shuffle across the stage and back was in fine shape. Comic timing was impeccable as always. He sang some poignant songs that got his message across.

Don Rickles - One of a kind

by Catpack on 2011-09-19River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

This was the third time I've seen Don Rickles and don't regret any of them. He is getting a bit old, LOL, however, not any less funny. He lost his place a few times and the piano player guided him back on track. He repeated some stuff as well, but again, he's not as young as the picture shown on his advertisement. I can't imagine he will be doing this much longer, which is why I needed to see him while he was in a town close to me.

Fabulous showman...great energy given his age. exceeded all my expectations. He can be very politically un-correct...be warned.

Mr. Warmth still not PC at 85, and lovin' it!

by Teleking on 2011-09-18River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

What can I say. Don Rickles is an icon of comedy that has always done just what he has done. Some of the jokes are so politically incorrect that it makes you twinge a bit and feel guilty for laughing but that's exactly what Rickles wants. At 85 years old, I don't think he'll be changing his tune any time soon. His mind is as quick as it ever was in delivering the "on the spot" zingers to the people he engages in the first few rows. He roams the stage like a tiger looking for a meal and as soon as something catches his eye, BAM, he's on them. Fun overall show from a master of comedy. I just wish I didn't feel guilty for laughing so much!

Don Rickles was amazing made me laugh and it was a sold out show. The opening act Kenny Coleman though was absolutely horrible! He can't sing. However Don Rickles was as sharp as a tack! His jokes were hilarious and was on stage for about 1 hour and 1/2 he brought the house down and had many standing ovations. He brought two people on stage and everyone could not stop laughing he even gave them bottles of champagne as a thank you. what class! Go see this comedic legend while you still can at 85 he is still fantastic.

    Don Rickles

by Anonymous on 2010-10-04Casino Rama - Orillia

Don Rickles is very energetic for an 84 year old. He was very funny. I was with a group who ranged in age from 43 to 81 and all of us enjoyed the show. I'm extremely glad I got to see him while he's still on the road.

Don Rickles was funny as usual but most of his material I had heard many times before. The show was too short Don was only on stage for one hour but considering his age maybe this is all he can handle now.

    amazing

by canadianstang on 2010-09-26Casino Rama - Orillia

firstly i was dead tired having just worked a midnite shift then driving 2 and a half hours to orillia so i was expecting to stay tired and grumpy throughout the show. when don rickles first came out we thought, oh oh hes shuffling and too old to remember what his act is lol. then he started cutting up everyone from the casino, to audience members to his own orchestra conductor. he had me literally crying. i thought my gf who is a little younger might not find him as funny because she hadnt even heard of him but she was howling as much as me hehe. i hope anyone who has any interest in seeing a master comedian (dont know if thats such a thing) see mr. rickles. ive seen howie mandell and he was amazing but don rickles was somehow funnier and more touching. an amazing man that even sings extremely well. hope he comes back many times because we will be there! thanks for one of the best evenings i've had at a show mr. rickles.

    He's still got it!

by Tbzk on 2010-09-25Casino Rama - Orillia

His age is not slowing him down, that's for sure. At 84, Don Rickles still has what it takes to make you laugh, sigh and even tear up. His stage presence, delivery, timing and all-around likable personality (and YES, he IS likable) makes him a joy to watch. He not only told his jokes and "insults", but shared personal stories and memories with the audience about some of the most famous performers in history, like Frank Sinatra and Bob Newhart. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to witness such a performance and we recommend it to everyone, young or old.

    MR. WARMTH AT HIS BEST

    by FCLEF1 on 2010-09-25Casino Rama - Orillia

We were 7 rows from the front what a fantastic time. Laughed so hard he brought tears to my eyes. There is nothing like the comedians from the old days Don doesn't depend on four letter words to get a laugh. See the best before there gone.

Just think the shows at Casino Rama are too short. Saw Julio Iglesias recently and his show as well as Don Rickles was just over an hour. Not long enough after the drive up and back. Both were great shows for the length but should have been longer. Minimum should be 1 1/2 hours.

So glad we saw Don Rickles!

by Sal49 on 2010-05-05River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

I had always promised myself that if he ever came back this way, I would see him. So glad that we did! I have always liked him - used to watch him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson way back when. They were very good together, he and Johnny. We had recently seen the documentary on him, and really enjoyed it. He seems like such a lovely man. He is definately a dying breed (so to speak - sorry, Don!) and they just don't make 'em like that anymore!

    Don Rickles was over-rated

by Trin on 2010-05-03River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

We were looking forward to a bunch of laughs as we've seen Don Rickles on TV numerous times; however, we were quite disappointed. There were four of us and we found that he was very hard to understand as he had the mike too close to his mouth and mumbled a bit, as well. We missed a lot of the punchlines of his jokes, if not some of the jokes entirely. And to top it all off, I had a drunk sitting in front of me who kept standing up with his arm in the air and yahooing; he also wore a peaked baseball cap that sat 3/4 of the way up on his head and I had to lean left and right and left and right to be able to see. Very disappointing after spending so much money.
