About

Drake is hip-hop’s preeminent superstar. In less than a decade, the Canadian rapper has won five Grammy Awards, landed 11 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and in 2022 became the highest-selling singles artist in the history of the RIAA. Drake’s first three albums — Thank Me Later (2010), Take Care (2011) and Nothing Was the Same (2013) — were all critical successes, showcasing a pioneering sound that mixed catchy R&B hooks with heartfelt lyricism. His fourth album, Views (2016), held atop the Billboard 200 for 13 nonconsecutive weeks, smashing more records — including Drake becoming the most-streamed artist in Spotify history. That same year, he embarked on a co-headlining tour with Future that became the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all time, grossing over $84 million across 56 dates.

    A.D.G.

by Strass on 2010-07-26Credit Union Centre - Saskatoon

Drake was awesome! Great energy and got the crowd pumped instantly. I mistakenly read a news paper review of his Winnipeg show and it outlined the whole show so i knew what was coming. But even with that still loved it and would see him again for sure. A drum solo would have been wicked too. Only complaint is you weren't allowed to have Beers at your seats. Had to sit in a beer gardens where you couldn't even see the stage. Stupidest planning ever.

    Drake didn't deliver

by Mariee9 on 2010-07-26BIG FOUR BUILDING - Calgary

After paying nearly $70 for a ticket and waiting in line for about an hour just to get inside. The venue was poor and the opening performance was forgettable and the DJ that came on in between the first performer and Drake was basic but nothing special, I thought it was just a CD playing. Drake only performed for about an hour and he did put on a good show. However, i was disapointed that he seemed very rehersed, as if he said the same thing every show. Drake is a great performer but I think he needs to give his fans something to remember and organize tours better in the future. If not then reduce the price for a ticket. I mean I went to Benny Benassi which was about half the price and it was a great venue and an amazing show.

    Budget Concert

by BLeibz on 2010-07-26Credit Union Centre - Saskatoon

Drake is a great performer with loads of talent. I just wish there would have been some money put into the show and maybe a decent opening act. I bet there wouldn't have been so many empty seats if there was a someone opening for Drake.

    Mad Talent, More Showmanship

by ProfitC on 2010-07-26BIG FOUR BUILDING - Calgary

Drake performed well - he showed his skills, audible lyrics, clever flow, and connected with the crowd and fans. Now that he is a platinum artist, his shows need to feel like a platinum concert. More creativity with dress code (he wore a black t-shirt for the entire show), build a runway out from the stage to connect with the whole room, screens to show his performance close up, spotlight and a chair for the odd ballad would be cool. Nonetheless, this guy is talented and will be around a long time if he can add depth to his brand and image. Venue at Big Four - very disorganized venue, long wait to get inside the building, alcohol bar totally disorganized, understaffed and no systems in place. Sell beer buy the can on ice instead of puroing one foamy beer at a time!!! Good security.

Great performance all around. He was very entertaining and even though it was extremely hot inside you still enjoyed yourself. Line up to get in was absolutely awful. Doors were supposed to open at 7pm and didn't open until at least 7:30pm. We did not get in to building until 9pm!

    Drake was insane!!!!

by kizzle on 2010-07-26BIG FOUR BUILDING - Calgary

Drake lit up the stage... Crowd was entertained from beginning 'til end. He is a terrific and charismatic rapper... He did some freestyle rapping that led to all of his hit songs. The lighting was fantastic as well. Absolute genius when it comes down to putting on a show. Unforgettable!!! Can't wait 'til he comes again. Drake you the best!!!

    Drake was Meh

by sabo on 2010-07-26Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

Started off with high energy. Then...honestly...we got bored!! It wasn't until the second or third last song that we started paying attention again. Didnt really need to see him pull a girl on stage to "be sexy" with her, either.

Short, started late and couldnt drink in seats

by silverls on 2010-07-25Credit Union Centre - Saskatoon

The way the concert was organized was not ideal and i have never been to a concert that was set up this way. There were 2 beer gardens on each side of the arena behind the curtain so you could not see the stage, which was very inconvenient because that was the only place people were allowed to drink, no drinks were allowed to leave the beer garden. The opening act came on stage over an hour after the concert was supposed to start, they weren't very good. Drake did get the crowd going and was fairly good live for being on his first tour but he wasn't on stage long. The total length of the concert was less than 2 hours, for $60 i expected to be able to drink at my seat and see the main artist sing a few more songs!

ALL I SAW WAS FIREWORKS AT DRAKE!!

by JJLMM on 2010-07-25Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

Most amazing show ever! Not only was Drake even better live than recorded, but he was also extremely personable with the audience! He jumped into the crowd once, pulled a girl onto stage, and always made us feel included! The atmosphere was incredible. And he even dropped some new lines! "I love you like millhouse to lisa, or the ninja turtles to pizza." DRIZZY OWNED THAT STAGE!!!

No doubt best concert of my life!

by Jordyn on 2010-07-22Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

I have been to many amazing concerts but Drake was above and beyond any concert I have ever seen. Even though the concert started an hour late Drake redeemed himself by putting on the best show possible. Any negative feelings from the show starting late were totally gone after Drake walked on stage. He is an amazing performer and did both old and new songs. He interacted with the audience. It felt like I was watching an old friend. That was one of the funnest concerts I have been to and it was obvious everyone else there had a great time! I have nothing but positive things to say about this concert and would see him again in a heartbeat!

    Excellent Show

by adamination on 2010-04-16Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

Had a great time at the show, Drake is a performer, and does a great job getting the crowd excited as well as a great set list. Really enjoyed the songs he did solo, as well as the couple he did with Birdman. Well worth the money. I have no complaints, Drake sounds amazing up there, and the set list was supurb.
