    Event Start Time was Absurd

by alison456 on 2014-07-04TD Echo Beach - Toronto

The concert itself was great and the venue was awesome. The problem - the event indicated that it started at 4:45 pm - they even sent out an e-mail when the time got moved to an earlier time (from 5:15pm to 4:45 pm) - but the opening act didn't go on until well after 8pm. This meant a mad rush to get to the concert, and then a LOT of waiting around for the event to start. I would not recommend this event for that reason. It was a waste of time and clearly a ploy to get people to spend as much money as possible at the venue.

    Edgefest 1

by QSuzie on 2014-07-04TD Echo Beach - Toronto

Edgefest 1 was good. The music was excellent and the weather great. Much better in many ways from previous Edgefests, especially that there were no beer tents. My only complaint was the limited food options, especially for vegetarians. Line ups were way too long for the two? food trucks.

    DO NOT MISS MONSTER TRUCK!

by trilifeordie on 2014-07-04TD Echo Beach - Toronto

As always, MT shows up and blows the roof off the place. Sheepdogs were decent but I prefer the punch and energy that Monster Truck brings to the stage. This was my first time at Echo Beach and I actually enjoyed it. Great backdrop of the city and I enjoyed seeing planes taking off mid set. The sand made for a nice spot to rest between sets and relax during a more chill set.

An experience you can't miss out on!

by suzysizzle on 2012-07-31Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

From the atmosphere to the music, Edgefest is an experience of a lifetime. Normally I go to Vans Warped Tour and decided to try out Edgefest - did not disappoint. Tons of free stuff, fun people, good bands and beach volleyball made it all worth while. Synopsis: Cold liquor, beach volleyball, free stuff, a lovely view ;), one blazing sun and a steady breeze... What more could one ask for <3

    Definitely a fun event!

by steff56822 on 2012-07-31Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

Had a great time :) The whole day was run really well. The bands all sounded excellent. Young the Giant was my favourite, but Billy Talent really killed it as well!

    Edgefest was as expected

    by redheadsenorita5 on 2012-07-26Downsview Park - Toronto

Edgefest was well executed. I was looking forward to seeing 4 bands in particular. Unfortuately, I missed the Pack AD because my ticket entry time indicated 1 pm and their set was at 12:40. I was very disappointed. The other 3 bands (The Sheepdogs, The Silversun Pickups, and Death From Above more than made up from my disappointment. I figure that I could see the Pack in the Fall when they return to Toronto. The VIP tickets were worth the extra money because I am well above the age demographic in attendance and needed the extra space to move around and dance. The misting areas were appreciated as well as the alcohol vendors which were well staffed. There could have been a better variety of food (I would have paid extra) and I missed getting Silversun swag because their management picked them up early (what??!!). Looking forward to what's up for next year!

    Edgefest was so much fun!

by vantits on 2012-07-23Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

Although the weather was excruciatingly hot, the venue provided a free water station. The concert itself was great, all of the transitions were smooth and the Edge personalities were a pleasant surprise!

    Death From Above 1979

by MuhPid on 2012-07-19Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

I thought Edgefest was great. My first time. I did just want to comment quick on DFA 1979. They were the band I mainly went to see. I thought they played a good set. But y'know what I wanted? Them to play You're a Woman, I'm a Machine fully. I can never really listen to that album loud enough. I'm not saying that their other music isn't good. I just think their set would have flowed better and all those songs sound perfect when played in set order...The Dirty Heads were fabulous and Billy Talent still have it goin' on. That is all.

    Billy Talent

by DarrellJMason on 2012-07-17Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

I was absolutely floored by Billy Talent. They were sick tight and had mad energy, the sound was great and it was worth the ticket price just to see them let alone the rest of the line up.

    Edgefest was amazing!

by Fhallwood on 2012-07-17Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

Even though the weather was stupidly hot, the show was amazing! Definetly wish USS and Silversun Pickups played longer. But the entire show was amazing. Found it a bit annoying that you weren't able to leave the park through out the show though.

Overall the event was great. In my opinion, USS, Silver Sun Pickups, and Billy Talent put on the best show. What the heck was wrong with Young the Giant? I felt like the band was asleep the whole time.

    Edgefest was awesome

by BoomBoom on 2012-07-17Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

The bands were great. We liked Young the Giant. We enjoyed the great tunes of the Sheepdogs. WE checked out the other stages and enjoyed good music there also. My boyfriend went into a Mosh pit during Billy Talent. He had a blast for his birthday!! The booths were good. I enjoyed the Jager stand. And I enjoyed the Smirnoff Ice booth even more. I like the free samples. I was glad there was free refills of water on such a hot day!

    Edgefest was awesome!

by SSS23 on 2012-07-17Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

The whole day was incredible. Well organized, great security. I went with my 2 teenage daughters and one of their friends. No issues at all! We were right up front at the main stage for most of the day. Only moved back a little for Billy Talent - just in case!- but didn't really have to. Talent was outstanding! Really impressed with Young the Giant and Pack AD. Security guards were really nice, chatted with the crowd in between sets and worked their butts off with the crowd surfers!

    Edgefest 2012

by Jen78 on 2012-07-17Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

I haven't done an Edgefest since it left Molson Park in Barrie. I was a little skeptical at first, but the VIP tickets were definitely worth the extra $20. Line ups for beer were non existent all day. We had great food vendors, but most importantly the sound and view from all over the VIP beer tent were amazing. Had a wonderful time!!

    Needs Water

by peanutlaura on 2012-07-16Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

So hot out there should be water stations for people to fill up their bottles of water...very dehydrating day. Should have more mist stations too.
