Edmonton Indy Tickets

The race was good to watch live. But I bought 2 grandstand tickets and thought my kids (under 11 yo) were free as per the general admission rules, but I was told I needed to buy full price grandstand tickets for my kids. If I knew that I had to pay full price for my kids, I would not have gone. My kids spent more time on the army tank than in the stands. Octane should be clear that kids have to pay full price for grand stand regardless of their age and not leave one to assume that general admission rules apply to grandstand admissions.

We sat in Grandstand 20 on the top row, had a great view of turns 5-9 and a magnificent view of the city skyline. There was a lot of action near us in turn 5 with plenty of crashes and passing. Our area had plenty of washrooms and food outlets, our favorite being Fat Franks. We always have a great time at the Indy and already bought our tickets for next year :)

The Edmonton Indy was absolutely amazing this year. I have went to both the Edmonton Grand Prix (Champ Car) and Edmonton Indy in the past, but this years Indy was something special. The combination of a new promoter, with racing event experience, and a new fast paced track, couldn't be beat. Looking forward to next years race which should be bigger and better.

Friday's rain put a damper on Day 1, but we were there anyway. Saturday was much improved and we enjoyed the day's events. Sunday was awesome - my guest and I had a great time. We walked the grounds for awhile, sat in our seats for awhile - took in the sights and sounds of the Indy.

We can't wait until next year! The event was so well organized - it was just fabulous - we certainly will go for the full 3 days next year... We enjoyed all the races, the displays, the food - it's too bad they did not have wine available - I had to drink 7up! Not everyone loves beer and those sweet concoctions! Maybe they should consider having wine available....I am sure we are not the only ones in Edmonton that enjoy a better refreshment.

As a race fan this event was exciting to watch as the new track layout provided some great action. In spite of the wet conditions on Friday and having to deal with some water isues in our RV area it was an enjoyable weekend and look forward to next year.

Event needs another racing event for Saturday. ie CASCAR. Food options outside of the suites could be improved. Pedestrian bridges over areas were cars go to the track would improve the flow of people. I was stopped on 3 occasions while cars and even tow trucks left the track after the race.... Go to one ticket for three days of the event.

I enjoyed the event. This was my first Indy race and overall I was impressed with the set up. The only frustrating point was at the end of the race the main grand stand was empting and we were not allowed to leave because the exit path was closed to allow the cars and crews to exit first.Other than that Good Job.I will return.

Indy was good this year but not great. I hope that Octane has a better show next year given that they have a full year to prepare. New track was good. Concessions were very good. Seating was average. I paid for the most expensive seats and a lot of the track was hard to see.

Sights, sounds, great event overall. Can't wait until next year.

The Indy was fun! But i'll never sit in the grandstands again. They squeeze you in those seats so tight I was uncomfortable after about 10 minutes.

Very well put together event. Great racing spirit. Volunteers polite, fun and helpful. Pit crews unbelievably informative. Thank you all - see you next year!

Fantastic race with lots of side by side racing, passing, and crashes. For a bunch of amateur drivers they put on a real professional race. My only suggestion would be to give them a better time slot than 8:45 am, I think a lot of race fans missed the best race of the weekend because of the early start. Great job Octane, this is by far a better spectator friendly track layout that gets you up close to the action. Well done!

Great action, so close to the race you could smell the ethanol. Little pieces of rubber were flying into the general admission area when the cars were braking. There was plenty of standing room all along the track so getting a front row spot was not difficult. Also had seats in grandstand 1 and this was better than the grandstands as they were too small and if you had to go for a beer or a bathroom break you practically had to step on people to get in or out.

Very well done...Like new track. Could move TV screens a little closer to seats.

No entertaiment provided whatsover on rained out days.

I took my 8 year old son to the Edmonton Indy and we had an awesome time. We purchased standing room tickets for myself and because he is under 12 he had free admission. We brought folding chairs and sat approxiamtely 5 meters away from the Indy cars racing by on the track at amazing speeds. The sounds and speed of these cars is mind shattering and the drivers are totally amazing. There are so many things to do and see when you are at the track. Truely a wonderful experience for my son and me!

overall it was very well run, and I commend the volunteers for their outstanding patience with the crowds! I wish there was a little more variety from the food vendors. and ,,, cut the grass at the beer garden next year!!!!

It was a great experience I had alot of fun. Their was many things to see and do also. The only thing that was not enjoyable about this event was how close the seats were in the Grandstands... Very tight! They also needed to turn up the volume on the speakers so you can hear the announcer speaking. Other than that everything was great.

The new track was great, but too many blind spots from where the seats were. Friday was a rain out
