The Singing Christmas Tree has been an amazing experience for 50 years! I am sad to see it end.
We have always been wowed by the Singing Christmas tree, but this surpassed all woes! It was a beautiful and moving experience which truly did bring the tears and laughter into our lives. The singing Christmas tree is a special memory that we hold dear to us!
This was such a wonderful show. The singing, orchestra and dancers were great! It’s too bad it is the last year, but I’m glad I got to see it.
I purchased tickets for my family to attend this show for the first (and sadly the last) time! I'm not sure why we had never taken the opportunity to see it previously, but WOW! What a show! The music, tree structure, lighting, design, costumes, and instrumental & singing talent exceeded our expectations. We have been filled with Christmas Spirit. Thank you John Cameron! We hope that someone will come to the rescue and revive this show in the future...so sad that it is ending.
It was as usual, so well done. Filled to the brim with talent, with a lot of emotional moments. It's everything that says, Christmas, and I'm so sad, this was the last season( at least for now) thanks for the memories Edmonton singing Christmas tree.
Spectacular event. So happy to get seats for this wonderful 'feel good' concert. John Cameron - Choir - dancers - orchestra- everyone behind the scene - thank you for all the hard work gone into presenting this Xmas Classic. You have spoiled us & we will miss you.
The show was amazing. So well done, it’s too bad it’s the final year. The Jubilee Auditorium is a great venue. We were in the second balcony and the view was still fantastic
From start to finish, the wonderful 'tree' choir, as well as the singers and dancers that made for a night to remember! Such a well orchestrated event! Glad I got to see the final year, being from out of town (Vancouver)...A real treat!
So glad I didn't miss the 50th and final year of the Singing Christmas Tree! Amazing show! Thank you to the John Cameron Foundation! The Jubilee is always a great venue. Appreciate the reasonable price for event parking - $6.00!
This is the eighth time I’ve seen the singing Christmas tree and I really wanted to make sure I see it as this is supposedly the last one I just felt that it went a little flat in the first half of the show second half picked up a whole lot better all in all it was good
Thank you so much for all the many years of The Singing Christmas Tree. I have taken several friends over the years and it has always been so uplifting and so very well done. Such a wonderful Christmas tradition that I will truly miss.
I took my daughters and grandson this year and we all loved it! They had never been before. The singing and music was amazing. As my daughter said, “it was a show for all of the senses!” So glad I chose to attend this year!
Another awesome experience. A very talented group. We will miss not going to this event next year.
Being that this was the last year for this event I had expected it to really go out with a bang I had attended the event last year and it was phenomenal which made me want to return this year however I was disappointed as it lacked the zest the passion the heart that last year’s performance had
Fabulous as usual! So sad to see it end and sure hope something replaces it at Christmas time for Edmontonian’s to enjoy. John Cameron thank you 🎄
Superb sound and vocals. Loved it The colors , stage and costumes all very nice. Too bad it last time
WOWZER, WOO WEE!!!! We loved the rock and roll theme, such a talented group, very SAD this is the end of a 50 year ritual. We remember it from Central Pentecostal. Developed in a huge way since then. LOVED IT! 100%+++++++
The Singing Christmas Tree was a bittersweet experience. A sincere finale to a heartwarming Christmas experience. Much gratitude to the dedication to Kristen as her heart and memory were a huge part of the validity. Many thank you’s the John Cameron and his incredible team, for their vision and passion. Merry Christmas to all.
The Singing Christmas tree was an amazing show and wonderful way to kick off Christmas break for our family. We're sad it was the last year and this can't be an annual family tradition.
In 1990, I sang in The Singing Christmas Tree for four years. At that time, it was held at Central Pentecostal Tabernacle. It was a tremendous feeling singing in this Christian musical production. It was here where I met my wife. In those days, John Cameron participated, but did not run the production. The director at that time was Emmanuel Fonte. The first Friday evening concert was always the best, this evening was reserved for seniors only. In those days, there was no charge to see The Singing Christmas Tree, it was always a freewill offering. The production was Christian based and the story, the birth of Jesus, was number one. The cost now to see the show is astronomical, out of reach for most, especially seniors. The Singing Christmas Tree was a ministry each Christmas, telling people of the need for this Saviour who came into the world. Now, it's just a musical show which has ultimately died and is now finished. It used to be seen on television over the Christmas celebrations. I'm so glad that I participated in this production and have kept the old recordings on vhs tapes when my wife and I sang in the tree, nice memories. Maybe some other church, with commitment and dedication, will bring it back to life, to what it once was, a Christian musical production to save those who don't know about Jesus.
