A superb show by the mighty Elbow. Great rapport with the audience, loved the atmosphere. A really excellent show, which I would thoroughly recommend. Come back to Toronto!!!!

Elbow Is one of the best live bands. Period.

by feetpowder on 2014-05-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

This is the third time I've seen Elbow. They are one of the best live bands that I've ever seen. The sound was excellent and the way the band engages the audience is Unfortunetly rare. I feel very lucky that they actually come here to play in Toronto considering the lack of radio support. Another great evening. If I were to make a suggestion to the band, I would recommend that they bring more merchandise. Last show I saw they brought nothing and this show they only had one kind of black tshirt and a cheap tote bag. The only thing I would recommend to the venue is to clean your washrooms. They looked bad at the start of the night, I can just imagine what they looked at near the end.

    Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

by Mac4 on 2014-05-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

It must be a little frustrating playing the 02 arena in the UK to a sold out crowd of 20,000 and then coming to America and play club gigs. I don't understand how this band remains largely unknown in Canada. Sound was amazing even though I really dislike the Danforth Music Hall. Guy Garvey is a great front man and incredible vocalist. The rest of the band are solid and tight.

    Elbow always delivers!

by Nermal on 2014-05-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Best kept secret in North America! Elbow can play stadiums and festivals but seeing them again in a smaller venue made me feel like the luckiest person in the world. Seeing Elbow live is a feast for the ears, eyes and soul. Elbow...THE BEST!!!!

Elbow is the best kept secret in Music

by ELPJB on 2011-10-05Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

My wife and I have been following this band for quite a few years now, and were excited they were coming to Toronto. But when we found out the venue they were playing which is standing room only we decided to see where else they were playing. When we saw they were coming to the Greek theater, we jumped at the chance and made a little holiday out of our long trip. We were not dissappointed. They were flawless, professional and extremely warm and sincere to the audience, which is rare these days. Garvey's vocals and lyrics are amazing, spot on! The musicians are of the highest calibre. The ironic thing is that we wanted to avoid a stand only venue, and we stood the entire time at the Greek, as did all the audience, they were that good

    Elbow wows Toronto

    by Ballerina1 on 2011-10-03Sound Academy - Toronto

Brilliant musicianship, poignant lyrics and an engaging lead singer. Great to finally see the band live. But the venue was disappointing. You're out of luck if you aren't six feet tall. Please bring them to Massey Hall.

    Elbow - Amazing!!

by Squarehead on 2011-10-03Sound Academy - Toronto

It's been a longtime since I've seen a show of this calibre. Elbow are an amazing live band who have figured out all of the criteria needed to put on a fully entertaining show. The sound and mix were the best I've ever heard and Guy Garvey's interaction with the audience was friendly and witty. He was masterfull at arousing the audience into fun crowd please participation highlighted during the last epic song "One Day Like This" were the crowd continued singing the chorus long after the band had stopped playing. The band's performance was top notch, very dynamic and powerful, yet subtle and soulful and Guy Garvey never sang a sour note all night. I'm convinced he has perfect pitch. This was one of those shows were you walked away knowing that you had just witnessed something truly special. I couldn't help but think that U2 finally have some serious competiton to contend with when it comes to live shows.

    Great show

by Joner on 2011-10-02Sound Academy - Toronto

Amazing band, great live show. Atmospheric, ethereal, sonic landscapes, coupled with heartfelt lyrics about everyday issues, delivered with genuine feeling. I particularly loved Guy Garvey's interaction with the crowd, made a small venue feel even smaller. Would see them again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely fantastic show. The band was bang on and Guy was charismatic and didn't miss a note. Can't say enough about the heart and feel of this band live. I won't miss the next one.

    Bloody Awesome!

by Cougarami on 2011-10-02Sound Academy - Toronto

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Elbow live! I was so glad for the opportunity to catch the band live, and it was even better than I had hoped! The way that Guy interacted with his audience was really wonderful. It made us feel as if we were a part of the show, and not just watching the band perform for themselves. I can't wait until they come back!!

    Jazz Fingers

by LindaD on 2011-10-02Sound Academy - Toronto

Great show, very lush and rich sounding due to solid performance by band and 2 violinists. Guy was in great voice. Has a bit of a finger fetish and loves the feedback, constantly needing to prompt dour Toronto in action. Hate the venue. Hope to never attend another show there ever. Wish they were at Massey Hall.

    Outstanding

by MunroeToronto on 2011-10-02Sound Academy - Toronto

Now I have seen this band open for Coldplay under impossible conditions at the Rogers Centre 2 years ago, and now again at The Sound Academy that is a very basic venue with standing room only and questionable acoustics, his band can play anywhere and be magnificent. Can't wait until they play somewhere like Massey hall.

    ELBOW was brilliant

by TravelMaus on 2011-10-02Sound Academy - Toronto

The venue at Sound Academy is not always the nicest for being able to see the stage, but Elbow was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever been at. Their music is truly for the heart.

Amazing show from an amazing band. Pure class. Deserving of a much wider audience and a better venue like Massey Hall.
