A must see show while in Vegas!

by Sadie13 on 2013-06-18Caesar's Palace - Las Vegas

My husband and I went to Vegas in late April and didn't know Elton John was in town. I was so excited when I saw the sign at Caesar's. We bought tickets in the 2nd highest price range as that's all that was left. AMAZING show! His songs brought back memories of my parents listening to his albums in the 70s and 80s and a tear came to my eye more than once. I was VERY happy that he sang The Bitch is Back and Your Song but wished he had also sung "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" and "Daniel". He was so energetic and engaging. We went on a Tuesday night and Elton commented that we were pretty wild for a Tuesday night! We were up and dancing for many of the up tempo songs. The only downside? My husband wasn't happy that 2 rye and gingers cost about $32 but they were very strong! He didn't play "Candle in the Wind" - he explained that he promised Princes Will & Harry that he would never play it again, unless he had their permission to do so.

    Elton always brings it

by TheRealTDub on 2012-12-08Colosseum at Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

EJ never disappoints. Very high energy show. All the hits with plenty of audience participation and interaction. How often to you get to see a Knight of the Realm belting out classic rockers? It's Vegas right? So how bad could it be?

Elton John: The Million Dollar Piano was an absolutely amazing show. Elton is an amazing showman and still and great singer and piano player. He was very charming and told great stories to the crowd in between songs. The sound quality at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace was unbelievable. I have never heard a concert with better sound than this one. Elton played mainly his big hits and only played a couple of less famous songs. If you are a big Elton John fan or even just a casual fan you must see this show. If you go to Vegas, I recommend planning your trip so that you can see this show, it is that good. Elton was on stage for a full two hours and I loved every minute. Absolutely the hi-light of our trip to Vegas!

While his voice has changed over the years, his musical ability and the songs themselves remain constant as truly amazing. This was the topping to a wonderful getaway.
