  • Tribute to Emmylou Harris

by WicWic on 2015-01-13DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Highlight of the evening? Emmylou sliding into her seat with Kris...two rows in front of us. She is a beautiful woman, human being, artist and songstress. Named our daughter Emmy...after her. Spectacular show...will definitely buy the DVD.

  • Emmylou never disappoints

by Muskyman on 2014-04-21Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Lanois as the opening act was just ok. When he welcomed Emmylou to the stage later on the band seemed to find it's groove. Fantastic harmonies with tasteful lead guitar continued as they went through the album "Wrecking Ball". Two standing ovation encores rounded out a fantastic evening. Massey Hall is my favourite concert venue. Kudos to whoever was in charge of the sound. Far to many concerts leave my ears ringing and the vocals so distorted that you need a translator. Not this evening. The sound was near perfect other than the bass guitar getting a little over the top a couple of times. Finally there is Emmylou. What a class act she is. Do yourself a favour and buy her albums and get to a live show asap.

  • Emmylou and Rodney

Fantastic concert! The acoustics were great. Voices crystal clear.

  • Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell and Richard Thomps

by RYSKY on 2013-11-18Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 2 out of 5

I believe Winnipeg MTS was the last stop on this tour. They looked and sounded tired. Richard Thompson however was fantastic.

The seats were perfect, the sound ideal and the performers excellent.

  • Great show in a great venue!

Emmylou Harris is as good as it gets. Her voice and music combined with Rodney Crowell makes for an excellent duo. She is good with someone and even better by herself. Great show in an excellent venue.

Richard Thompson should have had equal billing as he was very good as were the two main entertainers..

  • Richard Thompson is Amazing

by Macaque on 2013-11-17Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

What an incredible guitarist and musician Richard is! We loved his performance, and it's never better than when he's doing one of his instrumental leads. Wow!

  • Emmylou, Rodney & Richard Well Worth the Price

by ElectricDave on 2013-11-17Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

This show was so fine I can't pick a highlight. Emmylou's voice is better than ever and she and Rodney do flawess harmonies. Adding Richard Thompson to the lineup was a brilliant touch. I suspect some country fans who came just for the headliners have been converted. A great night all around. Thanks to Wpg. Folk Festival for bringing this show in.
