by cw08te on 2011-10-03The Opera House - TorontoAs usual the opening bands weren't exactly exciting, but they were not awful and everyone expects the opening acts to be... well... opening acts. When enslaved came on it was PURE RAW ENERGY! So awesome! the first half of the show was newer material and the second half was older stuff, perfect mixture and even included a pretty awesome cover of Led Zeplin's "Immigrant Song." After the show I stayed to see what was going on with the band and Grutle and Cato were happy to talk to everybody and hung out for around an hour, I also ran into Ivar before the show started who was happy to take a picture with me and was very polite despite a bad hangover :). Not only was the show AWESOME but all the guys are soooo friendly. I'll make an effort to see enslaved anytime they play here.
