About

Everclear are one of the defining alt-rock bands of the ’90s. Since forming in 1992, the Grammy-nominated band has released 11 studio albums and sold over six million records worldwide — including their breakthrough album and major-label debut, 1995’s platinum-selling Sparkle and Fade, which included the popular single “Santa Monica.” Led by frontman and Los Angeles native Art Alexakis, Everclear toured rigorously throughout the ’90s and 2000s, producing hook-laden singles such as “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You a New Life,” “Everything to Everyone” and “Wonderful,” which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2022, Everclear celebrated their 30th anniversary by reissuing their debut album World of Noise (1993) and embarking on a North American tour where they recorded a new live album, Live At The Whisky A Go Go. Everclear have also toured with bands such as the Stone Temple Pilots, Marcy Playground, Matchbox Twenty and Gin Blossoms.

everclear - a long time coming!!!

by number1deb on 2017-06-19Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

i missed everclear in the original "so much for the afterglow" tour, so it was great to see the anniversary tour! lots of energy onstage, lots of banter with the crowd without the usual cheese factor. a great ratio of old and new material - well worth the 20 year wait!

    Everclear was awesome

by Tech96 on 2017-06-18Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

I've loved everclear since they first existed in the 90's. First time seeing them in person and I was blown away. Then after the show I got to meet them and chat for a bit. They are the most down to earth personable guys. Got to chat for a bit and take pictures. Can't wait to see them again.

Great show at a terrible venue

by HamDad on 2017-06-18Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

Everclear may have aged, but the music certainly has not. Take out the clean cut lines of the album and hear So Much For The Afterglow in its raw uncut glory. Advice...never see a show at the Club Regent Event Centre. We were nearly kicked out because we stood up to rock out. Standing is not permitted at this venue unless you have a floor seat

    Everclear is AMAZING

by Spearsical on 2017-06-11Aura - Portland

The show was amazeballs. Art is still Art and the rest of the band is loyal. I personally like the more angsty sogs, which they didn't play many of but that's me. They are showcasing the newer stuff. Still cool. Wonderful show.

    Everclear and Radius

    by Sasha27 on 2010-05-11Cascades Casino - Langley

Really good sound, the band is great... came out and mingled with the crowd afterwards... nice to see them in a smaller venue.

    Where's the beef?

by AJHollywood on 2010-04-21Back Alley - Calgary

Opening bands were weak. I thought radius was going to ask the crowd for a group hug at one point..Lead sing was drinking a coffee on stage!! I thought I was going to a rock concert not a pop concert.. Everclear performed ok. A lot of the big hits were not played. I know the singer can sing well but had a hard time hearing is voice (not in the mic or mic not sensitive enough). Songs from CD to real life didn't translate well.. Band energy was good though and lead singer was engaging the audience well. If the opening bands were better could have helped the review..overall this concert was forgettable.

    Great

by kjjackson on 2010-04-21Back Alley - Calgary

The backalley was a terrible venue. It was dirty, stinky and rude service but the band was great. There was some technical difficulties with sound and the show started late but they are still a great band.

rocked to the 90's and back!

    by joi24 on 2010-04-21Back Alley - Calgary

The show was awesome, and I didn't feel like I was at an old timers reunion show for even a minute. Totally as rad as this would have been in the 90's, so glad I was there!!!

    Retirement SHOULD Loom

by Konq on 2010-04-21Back Alley - Calgary

I was absolutely disappointed in the show last night. I expected to see a reasonable facsimile of a band I love, but didn't. Art didn't sound like Art did (not even close), and I would go see an Everclear cover band over seeing Everclear ever again. Staff apologized sincerely on our way out. It was THAT bad.

    Everclear was alright....

by WMMFan on 2010-04-21Back Alley - Calgary

This was an alright concert... The Back Alley loves to push shows as late as they possibly can, so don't go if you have an early day the next day... On to Everlear! Their setlist was a mix of their original stuff, some vague newness (relative newness) and their biggest hits. I should emphasize that you're not going to see all of Everclear as most of the band seemed to be new faces... At least new since the last time they were in Calgary.... Never was a fan of "Volvo Driving Soccer Mom", and now I still have that song stuck in my head!

    Everclear rough around the edges

by BradJK on 2010-04-15Cascades Casino - Langley

Art had some serious throat issues that had him using the throat mister numerous times throughout the show, coupled with some technical glitches, hampered the show somewhat. The band did well, The guitarist is great and Arts showmanship and experience shined through, making this a fun concert.

    Fantastic Performance

    by 134865413541 on 2010-04-15Cascades Casino - Langley

Great concert with an amazing integration of the band with the public leaving a filling of “I want more” I hope they come back soon.

Still the Best Band around! Thanks Art for a great night! New album to come out in a few months and we are looking forward to it. Nice to see you again, been fans for over 15 years, and still listen to your music all the time. Thanks for such great songs, and thanks for taking the time to meet your longtime fans. See you next time you come through.

Everclear was depressing and fun at the same time!

by ozzman311 on 2009-10-20Mod Club Theatre - Toronto

Everclear came back to Toronto to support a new look greatest hits record. What fans heard was the same great hits with lots of energy. For any Everclear fan, you know that the band is full of poppy guitar riffs, but filled with sad, well written lyrics that can depict a story to its full extent. This show was no exception to that rule. The band started with "So Much for the Afterglow" and jumped right in to "Amphetamine." They continued with a few more older tunes "Father of Mine, "Herion Girl" and "Heartspark $." The show was filled with old hits and a couple of new tunes, like the sweet, yet kind of sexy "Portland Rain." The band ended with what Art described as "a song not about money, but about love," "Buy You a New Life." All together a fantastic show that brought me a nostalgic feeling due to the song lyrics, but made me all revved up because of a great performance. Everclear is still rocking hard in 2009.
