Second act is a tearjerker! Fantastic performances by a stellar cast.

    Falsettos

Very good production with a slightly miscast Christian Borle as Marvin.Rest of the cast iare excellent with Stephanie J. Block and Andrew Rennells, the standouts. Having seen the original productions of March Of The Falsettos and Falsettoland this compares fairly well, however Michael Rupert will for me, always be the definitive Marvin and so far no one has risen to the challenge of the role as he has and did so wonderfully.

Falsettos -- not A Chorus LIne

by FemaleBusinessTraveller on 2016-11-19Walter Kerr Theatre - New York

Although I very much enjoyed the show, I did not warm up to it until the second act, and I believe it it s not for the mainstream theatregoer.. It would be difficult for me to recommend to friends who think "musaical' and think big, flashy ensemble with big song and dance numbers, bright lights, elaborate sets and costumes. The singing is strong but no catchy tunes that you will be humming as you leave the theatre. The set, costumes, props etc., very minimal and so do not distract from the people. This show is about the words and the acting -- more a play than a musical -- and an opportunity to really appreciate the talents of the performers and theatre as an art form.

loved it.. Falsettos was definitely worth the trip! went to the show with my teenaged daughter - we both thought it was terrific. the first act was amazing - the second act - follows the story to a darker place - and i loved it - but a little extra comic relief would've been great... apart from that - i would've given it 5 stars. fully enjoyed.
