Very talented players' great humor too. Great reminder for Jewish tradition.

  • Fiddler on the Roof blew the ROOF off the stage!!

What a wonderful show! It was so true to the screen play and the actors playing each character were perfect! While the mother's voice was iffy at times throughout the show, the rest of the cast and crew were simply amazing. The set changes were ingenious! Funny, touching and poignant to what is still happening to Jews around the world. Only wish Winnipeg had upped its attendance numbers. If we don't show up for shows like this, we won't be honored with their presence in the future. So step up Manitoba - take a leap off your roof - like the fiddler!

Tickets purchased for my in-laws who thoroughly enjoyed the show. Voices were incredible & matched characters and the set changes were amazing. They enjoyed the show immensely.

This musical was wonderful. The sound was excellent. The acting was remarkable. The facial expressions of the actors was so real. Any one should see this play. The music was excellent and not too loud to drown out the actors. The show was done in such a way that you could understand the whole story. it was very good and I would go and see it again.

Everything was awesome. I have a question: however does one get seats on the main floor??????? It was way too hot on the first balcony where we were.

I loved the stage, it was so well accomplished. The artists were so professional and their voices were superb. Fiddler on the Roof has wonderful songs and such an important theme. Eventhough we sat in the back, we could hear the orquesta play beautifully. Great musicians!

Fiddler went beyond my expectations. It was funny, entertaining, and serious;. dealing with issues that anyone who has raised a family has faced, especially if they have a clear set of values. The staging was simple but amazingly effective and the lighting was incredible! Wow!

This was a wonderful production. Seeing this poignant story in live theatre is so much funnier, has even greater depth of meaning, and makes us question why we think and do some horrible things to each other. I have never been able to understand man's inhumanity to man, nor our great, unfounded prejudices toward each other. This story is one that speaks to those issues. Thank you.

  • Awesome!

The cast was absolutely amazing. I can't believe that Tevia was really 85 years old- he really maintained his energy throughout the performance!

  • Fiddler on the Roof was the best perf. ever!

by redheadRx on 2010-01-26Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The cast, the venue, the story itself! All was fantastic.. I have seen many, many performances, and this is now my favorite! (Phantom of the Opera in Toronto is now my #2!) The music was great..the story is very moving..I laughed and I cried! My only regret is that I saw it on the last day it was in Edmonton, and I couldn't tell my friends that it was a MUST SEE performance!

  • Fiddler on the Roof was exceptional!

I loved the performance. I saw Fiddler on the Roof when I was 15 years old in Ottawa, Ontario. Now, 38 years later, I attend another performance, and I appreciated it that much more. It was entertaining, the stage was designed beautifully, the performers had wonderful, powerful voices. It was simply a very enjoyable performance. So refreshing to witness great talent. Thank you.

Fiddler on the roof was an average performance with the lead being a seasoned and entertaining actor. He was truly the highlight of what otherwise would have been a largely forgettable performance.

  • Fiddler is a new tradition!!

by KMOD on 2010-01-25Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I had gotten tickets because my husband wanted to see Fiddler on th Roof. I went in knowing nothing about the play, and was not only entertained, but amazed! I have seen other live performances, but this was by far my absolute favorite! It was wonderfully done, the characters were spectacular. It was a wonderful experience and will hopefully become a tradition for us to see it again...SPECTACULAR!!

  • Unforgettable Performance

by Delia on 2010-01-25Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Fiddler On the Roof on stage and I was not disappointed. My friend who went with me thought that Theodore Bikel who played Tevye, is a definite inspiration at 85 years old. The whole caste did a wonderful job of singing and dancing. I loved the way the set changed so easily and effortlessly it seemed. I was right there with them in their village and laughed and cried with them. A great show and I am glad I went.
