Fiddler on the Roof was phenomenal!
by HappyTrio on 2009-11-23Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5The performance was all that we could have hoped for, and more! The sets transported us to Anatevka; the singing voices alternated between joyful, sweet, sad and uplifting, with extraordinary musical accompaniment. The dancing perfectly complemented the mood of each scene. And what can be said of the acting?? There was not a single thing that left us disappointed. Each and every performance was fully believable - we weren't watching actors, but people who were seeing their world turned upside down, yet somehow finding the strength to carry on, holding tight to the things that matter most. A story as relevant today as ever... This would not be complete without remarking on the awe-inspiring beauty of the Shea's Centre, and the efforts toward revitalizing the majestic downtown core of your city. Two young Canadians (and one slightly older one) had a wonderful time.
