About

Foo Fighters have been the standard bearer of mainstream rock for three decades, starting with their origins as a solo project for Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1994 to the band’s first-ballot induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 and beyond. Across 11 studio albums, 10 have charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, including two No. 1 debuts for 2011’s Wasting Light and 2017’s Concrete and Gold. Seven of their records have been RIAA-certified platinum. The band also boasts one of the richest rock catalogs, topping the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart 13 times and making major impacts on the Hot 100 chart with singles like "Learn to Fly," "Times Like These," "Best of You" and "The Pretender." Foo Fighters have also established themselves as a global force with over 43 million albums sold worldwide and almost 5.9 million tickets sold as of 2022, according to Pollstar. Led by Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters are composed of Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee and Josh Freese, who joined the band in 2023 as the replacement drummer for Taylor Hawkins, who died in March 2022.

Without doubt Foo Fighters was the best concert I have ever attended...... no need for all the tricks & magic & distractions offered up by bands like U2..... FF's music & talent spoke for itself....the energy was incredible & their respect for the fans was evident from start to finish.... will go to see them again & again.....Thanks guys !

Incredible as always, but a little familiar.

by Stugots05 on 2011-08-11Air Canada Center - Toronto

The Foo Fighters are always melt-your-face-off incredible. I've seen them 6 times and they consistently up the quality of their shows. Long 2 hour set with a 1/2 hour encore, high energy throughout so you will not be disappointed. However, having seen them so many times i have to admit that their back catalog could use a little refreshing as they tend to play much of the same music from previous albums. If you're seeing them for the first time it won't make a difference... but for avid Foo concert goers, you may find some repetition here. But regardless of that, the fun, energy and intensity of the show makes you disregard that fact fairly quickly.

This show was so high energy, Dave and the band were amazing, they played every song they wrote practically and played it harder than you can imagine! Great concert in everyway!

Best concert I've ever been to, hands down. Dave Grohl is an awesome performer and powers through, despite basically having lost his voice earlier that day. The show wasn't flashy or over done which is how a rock show should be.

    A true rock band

by Eulogy on 2011-08-10Air Canada Centre - Toronto

It was amazing to see such an incredible, humble band rock out. The Foo Fighters had an excellent set list, good mix of their new c.d. Wasting Light & lots of fan favourites from previous albums. Dave Grohl is a dynamic front man who makes a point of interacting with the crowd, making even those up in the nose bleed seats feel like they're side stage. At one point they dedicated a song to Canadian Rockers Rush, shortly after it was announced that Alex Lifeson was in the building with a quick shot on the big screen. All the band members played incredibly well, like they want to be there and truly appreciate their dedicated fan base thanking the crowd a number of times and coming back for a great encore. This concert was one to remember, wish it had last all night! I'll definitely be at the next Foo Fighters concert!

Best live performance I have ever been to

by Marlipa on 2011-06-15Rogers arena - Vancouver

I love Music, and I've had my fair share of concerts. So far, Foo Fighters have become "the best live performance I have ever attended". I couldnt wait for them to come back to Canada. I live 8 hours away from where they are performing and the drive is definitely worth it to go and see them !

    Anticipation

by Ronny11 on 2011-05-19Air Canada Center - Toronto

I have never seen the Foo Fighters before, and I already know that this is going to be one of the greatest shows I've ever been to. Dave Grohl is the epitome of rock and roll... and that rhymes, so it has to be true.
